Excellent choice. Very nice indeed.

This is my last post in another thread from a while back. Titled Fusion Wiper Blades, I think. These blades are not too expensive and they have worked perfectly since I got them and they have been in action a lot lately, British summer eh! . They also look fantastic.

Very nice, very shiny, very cool. Is that white alloys on the car, very clean looking, what are they?

Thanks, but I'm afraid it ain't finished yet. The old wallet has still got to take a considerable amount of bashing before it will be finished. Watch this space.........

Just had my three rear windows tinted this afternoon and very happy with the result. Got them done in Kirkcaldy by Barry Fimister at Autotint, Mitchelston Industrial Estate. www.auto-tint.co.uk Can't say enough about the professionalism shown by Barry, nice tidy workshop and a very thorough job done. I was tempted to go for the front windows but decided to keep it legal and above board. Anyway £140 well spent in my opinion, see what you think. Before Before After After

Potential Subaru Owner Looking For Some Information.
stubaroo replied to ross78's topic in Scottish Scoobies
I have a 2004 WRX Service intervals - every 10,000 miles or 12 months Subaru 20,000 mile service - £200 Independent 30,000 mile service (quite a big service, includes replacing all filters, oils and spark plugs) - £300 Fuel tank - 60 litre Miles on a full tank if driven sensibly with the occasional blast - 310+ miles Go for it. And as Scoobysailor says search in the for sale sections and you might find what you are looking for. -
Scoobysounds, How did you remove the old badge? I don't want to break anything. And how did you attach the new one? Going to get a new blue one from scoobyparts. A nice tough me thinks.

Could be interseted in this as I do intend to get the car remapped by AF at some point. I am just working my way through my list of mods at the moment. Just got the new wheels and tyres recently after upgrading the brakes. I am currently trying to arrange a date to get the car into Hypertech to get the suspension dealt with. (Lowered on Teins, Whiteline stuff and geometry). Also getting the windows tinted this Friday and looking at an STI 8 rear wing in the next few weeks. So after that lot I will be skint. The next part of the plan is the final part of my modding journey (I think) and that would be a full Meercat exhaust and then the remap. So that last stage is quite an expensive part and I can't say right now when I would have the funds to commit.

Can anyone local to Paisley recommend somewhere to stay over near to Peter's restaurant. Maybe bed and breakfast, a cheapish hotel or Holiday Inn type place. Don't know Paisley at all (heard its a very nice place though ), closest I have ever been is Glasgow Airport. Not 100% sure yet but toying with the idea of spending the night, instead of traveling back to Fife after the charity meal. Thanks for any suggestions.

Different. Unique. Very cool indeed.

Lovin' them. Black with "The Dons" red lip, excellent!

Are they decent quality, Gus? The best price I have so far is from Scoobyparts at £37.60 (should also get a SIDC discount) for the standard black nuts, they don't sell black locking nuts though. Got a price from revolution247.com for 16-off black tuner style nuts and 4-off black McGard tuner style locking nuts at around £70 delivered. Not sure what to do yet. Appreciate any info.

Indeed it does Pete and its on the list. I don't know if you remember but I was going to buy your Prodrive springs until we found out that they are no good for my WRX. I am still on the look out for Prodrive springs, anyone?? Yes they badly need black wheel nuts to finish the look and they are also on my (very long) list. I tried to get the people that I bought the wheels from to supply me with black wheel nuts as part of the sale but they were adamant that they could not get such a thing, blue, yellow, red but not black. Scoobyparts are among other suppliers that I have checked that do black wheel nuts.

Did someone beat you over the head with a stick, ya big loon!! I still feel like a newbie in this community, had the scoob less than a year and been going to meets since the start of this year but I can clearly see you are a big figure in the SIDC world. You made me and Lindsy feel most welcome from our very first meet, don't know what you are talking about half the time but it is done with barrel loads of enthusiasm.

Had the new wheels on almost 2 weeks now but I have been on holiday and busy doing other stuff too, so not had the opportunity to get the car and new wheels tooshed up so I could take some pictures and post them up. They are ultra light 18" Team Dynamics Pro Race S 1.2 in black with the blue rim on Yokohama Parada 2 tyres. Washed the car last night but by the time I was finished it was too dark to take any photos. So although it had rained last night and was still raining this morning (it is summer time, aint it???) I just took some photos anyway. Have a look and see what you think. Note, I finally removed the STI stickers from the front fog covers and replaced them with the yellow 'world rally team' ones. Next I am going to paint the front brake calipers, either black with white lettering or blue with white lettering.

Read the story yesterday on the news. Had no idea that it was one of our own members. Very sad indeed. Thoughts with all concerned.

Looking good.

Just ordered Subaru WRT stickers for my fog light covers and they arrived today. Finally peeled the STI ones off. Anyways when I ordered them yesterday I couldn't be bothered contacting scoobyparts before ordering to get my SIDC discount arranged as the stickers were only £4.99 a pair, I got a pair in yellow and a pair in white, not sure which colour to use yet. But I noticed when I placed the order online that there is a bit you can fill in, that asks where you found out about scoobyparts and a bit for comments, so in the comments bit I popped in that I was a SIDC member and added my membership no. And on the invoice today there it is, my SIDC discount of £1.09. A lot easier than sending them an e-mail or phoning them before you place your order.

Al, Can't comment on the car in question but I did visit the garage in question once. Last summer while scowering the earth for an immaculate example for my first Impreza I enquired about an 03 or 04 WRX they had for sale at that time. I stressed that I was coming all the way from Fife and would appreciate an honest appraisal of the car. I particularly asked about any imperfections on the bodywork. I was told it was near perfect, so of I set on my 120 mile round trip. ^_^ To say I was gutted on arrival would have been a slight understatement, as after about 3 seconds it was clear the car had competed in numerous off road competitions or someone had been detailing the car with a large wire brush. Never the less I still took the car out for a wee test drive and judging by the way the young salesman was gripping on to his seat I can only assume he had never been a passenger in an Impreza before. This may have been a one off and I am certainly not having a go at the garage, just sharing my one and only experience with them.

Got to say I ain't the biggest fan of stickers. Some look good, some just don't. But I like it. I love the bold approach, break the mould. The orange wheels definitely round the look off, some good suggestions by Gus and Grant there too. Certainly won't have any doubts about who's car I just passed anyway.
