  1. Defo the black with the red rim. I have just recently ordered a set of 18" black alloys with a blue rim for my car. Should be ready for fitting a week on Saturday. I can't wait, will post pics once fitted. Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2S
  2. Alrighty Rich, I am hoping for this driving experience for my birthday later in the year. However Lindsy has already done it and loved it. Check out how she got on here. Some pics too. Trackstar Experience

  4. What are the alloys on your car Cullenmin? They are crackin'. As is the car. Looking for something similar myself, just shortly (the wheels that is). P.S. I am fae Kirkcaldy too.

  6. Very nice indeed Tony.
  7. Any more opinions, welcomed. Surely one of our more knowledgeable/mechanically minded members can shed some light on this one. Spark plugs and filters!! HT leads or coil packs?
  8. Looks like its relevant to the spark plugs. The following is an extract from the sevice manual. The line in question is highlighted. 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0 litre Turbo 30,000 mile service Drive belts (except camshaft) - Inspect Engine oil (ACEA B3 Only) - Replace Engine oil filter - Replace Engine coolant - Inspect Cooling system, hoses and connections - Inspect Fuel filter - Replace Air filter - Replace 4 Gas analysis/select monitor check - Inspect Spark plugs and filters - Replace Clutch operation - Inspect Valve clearance (adjust at additional cost) Transmission oil (filter automatic) Diff oil (front/rear) - Replace Brake and clutch fluid - Inspect Lubrication of bonnet and door catches - Inspect Fuel system lines and connections - Inspect Disc brake pads/Discs - Inspect Brake linings and drums - Inspect Brake lines - Inspect Park and service brake operation - Inspect Front and rear axle shafts and joints - Inspect Steering and suspension system - Inspect Operation of lights, wipers and washers - Inspect Tyre condition and pressures - Inspect
  9. Another newbie question. I am about to get a 30,000 mile service carried out on my 2004 WRX. Part of this service is the replacement of the - "spark plugs and filters". (This is not a reference to oil, air or fuel filters). What are spark plug filters? I also see after a small search that some Impreza's don't have HT leads but have individual coil packs, is that right? Whats the set up on a 2004 WRX? Thanks for any enlightenment forthcoming.
  10. Cheers Grant, Lucky you interveened there, I could have been tugging my knob all day! Any way screwed out nae bother and fitted the new one. Looks class. Only thing is, as you can see in the photo, the gaitor is not sitting flush with the bottom of the new knob, any suggestions before I super glue them together. The original knob had integrated clip at the bottom which held the gaitor up in place. Thanks again Grant.
  11. Just bought a MOMO Cobra gear knob for the car. Probably a stupid question but how do you remove the standard one (MY04 WRX)? I think I just pull it off, ooh err! Is that right? I dont want to break anything.
  12. Was needing new wiper blades so after a wee search on here I found this thread, among others. Yet again advice from 'Gus the Bus' has not only saved me money but has directed me to another quality component for the Scoob. Purchased a set of Aero VU wiper blades for £14 delivered from ebay and fitted them today. They look way better than the Bosch efforts that were on the car and even got to test them out in a wee shower this afternoon on the way home and they are very slick.
  13. Holy shoot! Excellent job there. How much for your services?
  14. Nice one Al. Car looks absolutly amazing. You jammer!
  15. Looks good, front and rear, and I ain't a fan of chav! Note there is no pics showing the most excellent exhaust on the car, luvley burble. The pics ain't bad but I have got to say the car looks much better in the flesh.
  16. Car was fitted with a Pipercross panel filter when I bought it at the end of last year (MY04 WRX). Had Gus have a look at it and he reconned it was goosed (it did look very grubby) and he recommended the Simota filter. The filter comes lightly oiled ready to fit straight in to the air filter box. As far as a deeper grunt I'm not too sure, as I said it already had a Pipercross fitted and I'm fairly new to the Scooby scene. Performance probably the same.
  17. I was recomended this by Gus and I give it the thumbs up Discount to be had via scoobyparts. Normal price including delivery £32.63 SIDC discount price including delivery £28.00 Thats about 14% off. Simota Panel Filter
  18. Apart from the tiny pics, I think I like them.
  19. Craig, Let me know what price you get quoted. Just in case you get the quote PM'd to you. Will be looking at the same stuff at some point. I did notice in another thread that Hypertech are currently doing free fitting on Whiteline bars, ALK and droplink products. Cheers, Stu.
  20. Good replies people. I think I will 'put the brakes on' purchasing EBC stuff then. It was just that the opportunity had came up to purchase a set of EBC front discs at a bargain price. So I thought I had better find out a bit more about them before committing. I will now revert to my initial recommendation from another SIDC member (Irish Al), which has been reinstated here, thats to keep the OE discs and upgrade to the likes of Ferodo DS2500 pads. Thanks again, Stu.
  21. Great responce people and good answers. I will now promptly aquire meself some of those dam fine STI fog light covers and some sexy decals to put on them. Thanks again, Stu.
  22. Please help. I would like a set of fog light covers. The best looking ones so far I have seen are the standard STI ones. I would somehow remove the STI decals and pop something else on instead. I have a standard 2004 WRX blobeye in WR Blue. Do the STI fog light covers fit into the WRX front bumper? The STI front bumper is slightly different , I think. I saw ones for the WRX on Scoobyparts but I duidn't like them so much and they also mentioned a fitting bracket??? Can anybody please help? Thanks, Stu.
  23. A quick question for those in the know. Are EBC grooved and slotted brakes discs (combined with the red or yellow stuff brake pads) considered a good upgrade to the standard Subaru brake discs and pads? My car is pretty much standard at the moment 2004 WRX Blobeye but in the future a full decat exhaust and remap is on the cards. That will probably satisfy my perfomance upgrades. More power requires better brakes , right. So will the EBC discs and pads mated with the standard callipers do the job? Other suggestions will be taken into consideration. Thanks, Stu.
  24. Lovin' it. I just can't stand ignorance.
  25. What type of exhaust m8, is it a Meercat? Looks amazing!
