  1. If nobody has tried it by the time i get home from sea next thursday i'll give it a go!! Getting a set of coilovers anyway so worth a shot if it saves everyone some cash!!
  2. 14k is a bit steep. I paid 13.5k for mine last year with 40k on the clock. Id say prob 11-12k tops as with the way the maket it. They are fantastic cars and pretty scarce to find one thats not had the hole screwed out of it!! And you get used to not having the flat 4 thump as the twin scroll has a unique sound!!
  3. Will be interested in seeing if it works as my rear shocks are goosed!!
  4. cheers will give him a call in the morning!!
  5. let me know how you get on with your paul. The knocking aint too bad yet but it still does my head in knowing that its just gonna get worse!
  6. Well the scoob has managed to chew through its 2nd pair of rear shocks!! Only covered 4500miles on these rear shocks and the knocking has started again. Thats me decided now No More Chocolate shocks!!!! Going for a set of BC coilovers I think. Has anyone got these fitted and what is the ride quality like? Cheers Joe

  8. Brilliant!! Think i would have been a bit P i ss ed too
  9. Looks like it was a great weekend! Wish i was able to make it!! Well done to everyone involved
  10. No point is doing anything power wise until you get brakes to cope with the power. My advise would be, buy an sti, sell the sport and all the bits you have bought already and jobs a good un!! It will save you money in the long run
  11. You can tow a trailer as long as the trailer and its load does not exceed 750kgs if you passed your test after 1997. Well thats what i was told when i inquired at the local cop shop!!
  12. Big one still on my front window and spare in the house just incase!!
  13. Try here for your coilovers http://www.cdfracing.co.uk/product_info.ph...7c1a47423df043a As for leaving the car idle for a few months, start her up and leave her running up to temperature once a week or every couple of weeks. Leave the handbrake off if its safe to do so, to stop the rear pads seizing to the discs. Give her a good polish and wax to keep the paintwork in good order
  14. You will enjoy the road round there! Only thing is the road over the hill to dunoon is mostly single track and there are some nutters on that road!! The nearest shell garage to dunoon is in erskine.
  15. A good lesson to be learned by this one!! Its hard to believe anyone survived!!
  16. I like!! May need to purchase one of these myself
  17. I had a silver evo tailgate me a couple of weeks ago coming down the M8 obviously wanting a race. I had the wee one in the car at the time so i was pretty p***ed!! Thought the guy would have given up when i pulled into the slow lane but he just moved in behind me close enough that i couldn't see his number plate in the rear view mirror! There is no need for it! If i didn't have the wee one in the car id have been in the right mind to slam the anchors on!! If you want to prove to your mates that your car is faster do it at KH or crail!
  18. I wave to all scoobies all the time. About 60 - 70% of the time i get a wave back. The odd time you will get someone looking at you as if you are a nutter but I find that quite funny sometimes. My missus also laughs at me everytime i wave to another scoob. I always get " Why are you waving?? You don't even know them!"
  19. Hope the little s****s get caught!! Folk like that deserve a good hiding. Wan*ers!!!
  20. I got mine from DP motorsport in ayrshire. 18's inovit st6s for under 600 quid with tyres. http://www.dp-motorsport.co.uk/
  21. Welcome tam, My step brother is ex forces and doing close protection work out in Iraq at the moment. Get some pics of the car up
  22. welcome back!
  23. Not a good time to sell just now but the market will pick up eventually.
  24. Try to get a photo of where it happened. A mate of mine buckled his alloy in a pot hole last year, took a photo of the pot hole and went to the local council with it. Took a lot of arguing but he eventually got the money for a new alloy. The state of the roads these days are terrible. I was watching the roads department re-tarring pot holes around the town yesterday in the pi55ing rain. Needless to say, today the pot holes are just the same as they were before with broken tar all over the place!!
  25. Welcome!!
