  5. Eventually got round to getting my new wheels. Took a while to decide which colour, type etc. Ended up getting the inovit st6's in white. Took the blue stickers off them all the same as they looked a bit tacky! Next step, coilovers and whiteline goodies. Possibly a nice big set of stoppers up front before the engine mods start!!

Got in touch with the guy at CDFracing and he says he does them for £599. Whats everyones thoughts??
  8. I had a Golf R32 try to have a pop at me today on the road from Largs to Wemyss Bay. Didn't stand a chance Best one has to by my old punto GT turbo humiliating a skyline gts on the quarter mile at crail (punto was putting out near 200bhp tho) Worst was being completely smoked in when i had my evo 5 by a corsa Must have been a tuned 2ltr turbo lump in it!! Was embarrasing as i had 2 of my mates in the car!!
  9. Just got my new wheels today (pics to follow tomorrow) and decided im gonna get a set of coilovers to finish off the look by lowering the car 30 to 40mm. What coilovers do you all recommend for a 2003 sti spec c?? Cheers Joe
  10. Will check the support arm but pretty sure its the shock. Still gonna go for coilovers though
  11. Def the shocks mate. I had my shocks replaced 8000miles ago and now the o/s/r had a slight clunk again. Im going for coilovers this time!!

  13. Thinking of getting a set of gauges and was looking at the prosport ones. Anyone know if they are any good? Cheers Joe
  14. Heard a few bad stories about 1st choice tbh. My mate bought an evo from them and had nothing but problems with it. Personally wouldn't buy from them. Id get a mechanic or someone with a good bit of mechanical knowledge to go have a look at the car with your mate.
  15. Wont make a difference to power unless its mapped for your car.
  16. Got round to fitting my timing belt, idlers and tensioner today! Took about 4 hrs to do. Worst part was getting the bloody connectors off the fans to remove the radiator! Got a bit of a fright when one of the cams pulleys decided to jump a couple of teeth when i took the old belt off. (luckily had all the pulleys WELL marked beforehand)!! All went well anyway and the car is running sweet so im happy and saved myself a few quid!!
  17. Millers CFS 10W-60 or castrol 15W-50 for me
  18. I replaced both my rear shocks 7000miles ago and im beginning to hear a faint knock from the rear offside AGAIN. Coilovers this time for sure!!!
  19. I've bought the fully kit including the bearings so just going to be replaceing the whole lot for piece of mind. Better safe than sorry
  20. Im fitting my timing belt next weekend on my scoob. Was just wondering if i will need to change the water pump when i do the belt, bearings and tensioner?? There is no probs with the pump as it is but just wanted to know your views. Cheers Joe
  21. Typer666 your PM inbox is full
  22. Had the same problem with my classic sti. Would tick over but not start. Took the fuel pump out and bench tested it and all was ok. But when the fuel pump was in the car i could not hear the system priming. Ended up finding the fault. It was the connector plug under the rear bench that was dodgy. Replaced it and no more problem starting!
  23. As far as i can see, this is gonna be the case!
  24. Wish mine had no co2 number
