  1. I was stopped in Aberdeen a while back after they followed me for 20 mins and it was the same reason " you look a bit young to be driving this car, are you sure you have proper insurance" the list of pointless questions went on. All I said was yes the car is mine, i paid for it and yes its insured. The young officer was on a power trip and started ranting about how he saw me speeding around the city centre a few nights previous. Funny how i was only just in aberdeen that day. After a small arguement about my whereabouts a couple of days earlier the young cop took the humph and then said he had reason to believe i was under the influence and this was now his reason for stopping me. So I said "OK, give me a breath test then"! The reply i got was " believe you me son! If i thought you were under the influence i'd breathalyse you". So i said to him then "was that not the reason you stopped me????" He then proceeded to check out the whole car and could find nothing wrong with it. The senior officer who was taking a back seat throughout the whole thing eventually told me to go on my was and told the young officer to get back in the car. To me this just looked like them trying to stitch me up for anything. Not very professional to be honest!! But what can you do about it - Absolutly F all!!
  2. Very nice
  3. Had them on my last scoob and the handling was excellent in the dry and pretty good in the wet to be honest!!

  6. I use NGK - PFR7B's.
  7. I agree that i'd rather see more police patrolling the streets! A few weeks ago i saw someone smashing into the back of the a car infront as it pulled into the slow lane and slammed its breaks on because it saw the speed camera at the last minute. And speed cameras are supposed to save lifes???? I'd like to know how many accidents they have caused. Don't get me wrong, if you are speeding and get caught then its your own fault. But then again the reason that there is so many cameras is the fact that the print money faster than a mint!!!
  8. Don't know if this has been posted before but here goes http://www.speedcam.co.uk/game.htm Joe
  9. After checking all the door, boot, light seals, rubber gromits from the collision bulkhead, intercooler water spray line. I lifted the front footwell carpets to find that there were 2 small holes in each front wheel arch where someone had previously removed mudflaps. With the carpets lifted you could clearly see that water and dirt had been coming in through the holes. Stuck some silicone in them and dried the carpets out with the missus' hairdryer and all looks good. Hopefully this has cured the problem
  10. The same thing used to happen to me in my old v2 sti. At the same place!! Would do the usual run up to aberdeen every couple of weeks to work and as soon as the car got a few miles from Perth the CEL would come on. EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL!! And the same as you only when going north as it never seemed to happen when i was heading south. I was beginning to think that there must be some sort of interference around the area but if there was, surely the CEL would come on coming south too?? Wonder how many people this happens too?? Thought it was just me. Joe

  13. Yeah its a spec c. Gonna check the piping from the intercooler waterspray tank in the morning. Managed to borrow a ramp in at Rooney's garage in the morning for my oils change so will check everything then. Cheers for offering to help with the oil change Callum, just unfortunate you got called away when i was off the ship in aberdeen. The drivers footwell is the wetter than the passenger one so could be the door seal i suppose. Whill add that to the checks in the morning!! Joe
  14. Thanks imy, I'll check out the boot in the morning.
  15. Went out to the car today to find that the carpets in the front footwells were wet. The drivers side more than the passenger side. Not sure what it is as I've not had a chance to investigate it. I have checked the coolant level and all seems to be fine there (well as far as i can see). My first thought was that it might be the heater matrix but not sure exactly where its located. Another thing i thought of was the water pipe from the intercooler water spray tank in the boot could be leaking. Does anyone know which side of the car this runs down before i start ripping the interior apart Any ideas guys?????? Cheers Joe
