Needing a car alarm fitted to my scoob. Got a quote from Drivers in glasgow but want to shop about a bit. Does anyone know anywhere else in the glasgow area that does alarm fitting?? Cheers Joe

Ive had 3 scoobs now and had a 340bhp evo 5 before them. The evo was good but you need deep pockets for servicing and repairs with them. In the 18 months i had the evo i had to replace the clutch, flywheel, front discs (warped), steering rack, AYC replaced, and a few other bits and bobs. And that was driving sensibly!! Not including the servicing costs it mounted up to a fair packet!! Now ive got a 2003 sti spec c and its by far the most exciting scooby ive had so far. Especially when you learn how to drive it properly!! Either mod your scoob or go for a spec c!! You won't regret it!!

You can get super unleaded just outside Thurso mate. Drove down from there the other week. Its not Vpower but its 97RON so better than putting 95RON in. I filled up in thurso and got to glasgow just as the petrol light came on!! That was taking it quite easy all the same!! ps, Its hard not to put the foot down on those roads

Too many kits to choose from. haha!! Just opted for the standard kyb shocks for the moment as the waranty covered them. The roads on the island are pretty poor to say the least.

Might just go for KYB rear shocks for the moment as they are the replacement under the waranty until i do a bit of saving for a good set of coilovers. Not wanting a really hard ride on the road and not planning on tracking the car this year (if at all). But you know what its like, will prob end up on the track at some point haha!!

Got mine serviced by Dunc yesterday. Top guy! And service is prob the best ive seen and advice is great too. Would highly recommend them to anyone!!

Anyone use or used tein superstreet coilovers? Thinking of getting a set as i need 2 new rear shocks anyway and might aswell upgrade. Or anybody know of a similar package about the same price?? Cheers Joe

Put it this way mikey, i had a 350bhp evo 5 a couple of years ago and this thing would piss all over it!! Bought it from a place in birmingham who had just imported it. Love white scoobs so had to be a white one. It was strange at first not having the flat four rumble but the noise that comes out the spec c with the twin scroll turbo and equal lenght headers is pretty addictive. If i was you id get one!! Highly recommended!!

Yeah once i get a full s/s sytem on it, it will be off to andy f for a remap. Then planning on suspension mods!! Just getting used to the dccd now! Excellent bit of kit when you figure out how to use it properly!!

Cheers guys, just a case of experimenting then i suppose!! Noticed they can bite you in the ass even in a straight line. Came off a roundabout, straightened up, put the foot to the floor in third and the back end was all over the place. Was good fun all the same!! Cant wait till i get used to it properly and have some proper fun!!!!
