I still remember going to the Galloway Hills Rally down some real mens roads and Imy and Me had to wait for the fud with the big spoiler....................... The supposed third Cat on a UK car is a resonator, if it is the bulge in the centre pipe you are referring too, but hey what do i know. Grant
  3. << mine was the same but then again i drove it like a fanny........still do..............allegedly!!!!!!! >> On a JDM car there is one cat, on a UK car there is 2 cats[1 in up-pipe prior to turbo and 1 in downpipe] If you remove the cat in the up-pipe, that will trigger the Check Engine Light...[ CEL ] And by the way Andy, you drive like a fud not a fanny. 9. Meeting point at the Showcase is 10.00 and departing at 11am ......take your time gents. Grant
  10. There is a good few hotels at the end of the run for some pub grub. There is also a wee stretch of legs planned for the halfway point at a picturesque loch but bring a wee bite to eat Grant
  11. A few last minute details for the run next Sunday the 27th. Meeting point is at the Showcase Cinema at Coatbridge. Time for meeting up is 10am. Time for departure is 11am. Route length is approx 170 miles. Nearest Shell garage for the Optimax is at Baillieston on the Edi Road. There is a Shell garage at te end of the run for a refill if required. There is very little by way of fast food outlets en route, so a packed lunch or something similar would be good. There is a stop for an hour at the halfway point but again with little provisions for food, the above must be emphasised. Any questions, apart from whats the route, as the AA say just ask? Grant
  12. Nice one Congrats from Grant and Imy
  13. << hi Heres a story! having to use my previous log-in id of CHRIS54@BLACK/WRX is probably a good thing at this stage. The black wrx gumball machine wouldnt have made it to the gumball after the BIG-END went last month. So what i did was say to myself, "ok Chris maybe a golf gti diesel is a better option for fuel, insurance............" Bollocks, i had it 6 weeks and yesterday bought SJ 53 CXA, wr blue STI. well i feel very happy to be back if i can come back that is? and lloking forward to all the days out again. This time though without being left for dust by MATT and BLINGBLING RICE ROCKET so can i join the list for next sunday? Where is the destination/route? >> Good to hear you are back mate. Meeting up at the Showcase at Coatbridge next Sunday Destination................... Route............................Less you know the less the polis knows........... Grant

  18. Would be up for swapping seats with you if the car has to go. No scrapyard in the world would appreciate those seats the same as me. Std WRX seats plus cash your way, first on list if it to happen. Grant
  19. << Thats what I call a list Quite fancy being in the mentaly unhinged group, behind the SWIGG obviously Any clues as to where we're going? Matt >> Starting from Coatbridge Showcase and heading south, due south. Doon a big road for a wee while then head through a big valley to a wee town, before the big toon hang a right then onwards through another sleepy wee village. After we wake the dead in the 2nd small hamlet turn left half way through the hamlet. Now we head down a road that will resemble a stage from the Monte. When we hit the hotel at the bridge, over the bridge through another wee ghost town taking the 2nd turn on the right, as the first will take us back to the bridge, down through the forest to a wee car park next to the big pond. Stretch the old legs, brag about how well we all took the series of bends and how even the goats were stunned by the noise. Onward through a larger town to the big bay with the castle. Turn left, easy along this one as it is a main link road to the hoose wi the gate. At the hoose wi the gate turn right and head through to a wee toon. In the toon turn right and head along past where the big guns are to the quarry at the bridge, round the hairpin and up to the straight where Del nearly got nabbed by the plod. Into the food town and finish in the car park next to the Shell station for a wee top up then home. Enough of a wee clue for you........................ Total distance from the start at Showcase Coatbridge until the finish point in the "food town" is approx 180 miles I am going to do a test run of the route this weekend and will give a final route milage total but there is a Shell station in Baillieston for a fill up prior to departure but i would advise to fill up proir to the run PACKED LUNCHES would be advisable as the run is heading through god country and they like to shut down on a Sunday Grant
  20. I didnae know you had been posted to Dunoon. Take it easy Wee Man. Grant
  21. About £20 and if you are looking for a buyer......Hello. Nice seats esp with the 555 logo. AFAIK only fitted to the Ver4 Type R Limited, as to how much they are worth. It is the age old adage, they are only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for them. With this in mind, on a good day and Imy is not looking i would pay about £300 for the 2 front seats. Grant
  22. Quality vid mate ...Playsatan was the man in the classic doing the tractor impersonation and getting his dad to do the pushing not that long after major surgery. Could the camaraman prolong the satanc ones agony any more. Grant
  23. Eurosport show extended highlights on a Wed night about half ten, no guarentee on the half ten though or the Wed because Eurosport have a nasty habit of messing the schedules up at the last minute. Grant
  24. Aye we were the frosted snowmen Grant
  25. With 2 quality rallies in Dumfries that is a shame, The Scottish is based in Dumfries and uses Ae forest. The Galloway Hills is based in Castle Douglas, this event usually attracts a few Irish lads across. I also highly recommend the Jim Clark Rally in Duns for some awesome Tarmac action. The only bit i like on F1 is the start where the all pile into the first corner, with pile being the operative word. Diehard WRC fan till the day i die, with Rally Deutschland pretty high up the list for action. Grant
