  6. << Forgot to ask did anyone get photo's or vid footage of playstan spinning off at the hairpin? >> Oh yes ....my old man has the offending pics but since he gave me his rear speakers they will stay with my dad. Plus the fact they are in an old Brownie style camara i think it will be difficult to upload Grant
  7. Echo all that was said before. Another spirited drive in the country, this weekend i have burned 70 quid worth of fuel in 400 kms, to and from Tillicoutry. Good laugh watching the poor wee guy running about putting the cars back on the Scalextric track after Swiggi decide to adopt a full boost scenario. I forgot my lighter and Matt obliged, what else could i do. Grant
  8. Imy and myself had a thoroughly good day Cheers to everyone for making my dad feel part of it, i think he thoroughly enjoyed it, including the "spirited" drive there and back. Hitting the limiter in fifth chasing ANDYJDMSTI was a new and interesting experience................... Cheers to Playsatan and Wilky for the spirited drive round the track, both top quality cars. Pics to be posted later once the "wee-one" processes them. Roll on the next one for some Red or Dead action Grant
  9. Meeting point at the Showcase at 7 am, yes i know 7 am on a Saturday but if we meet up at 7 for a 715 departure to get through to the Forth Road Bridge for some brekky with the EDI lads before heading over en masse to Dastek The Lothian/Edi boys and girls are meeting at McDonalds at Forth Road Bridge at 8am so if we leave The Showcase at Coatbridge for 715 for a leisurely jaunt through and then some brekky 1. TheSquirrel555 Grant
  10. Sorted care of the Swigmeister. Grant
  11. I knew that would be trouble with him taking the pics. At least he never got a pic with my head still down there. Grant
  12. Nice As they say Red is the fastest colour. Grant
  13. Welcome to the Scottish Subaru appreciation society. Say hi to the deaf idiot with the exh that should carry a health warning based on its emissions and noise. Red Classic with a choice of alloys. Might put on the new Advan's or maybe the Gold STI wheels or what about those natty wee 15inchers for some back end action or will it be the P1 alloys. F*ck it a diff alloy on each hub should be new idea. Grant
  14. I am a white van man del driver who breaks nearly every road traffic offence in the book on a daily basis. My car contravenes nearly every motoring regulation going. Of course i will be there but i will say i am visiting from Scoobynet as not to lower the tone. As long as they are not too patronising about my driving style and they are open to suggestions on driving technique themselves then i will be a good squirrel and try and learn something from the boys in blue Squirrel ..... "so what is the most powerful car on the force".........."pah is that it" Squirrel ......"are you not jealous of our Scoobies" Squirrel........"you do know if i wanted to i could lose you lot quite easily"...." for up to 100 miles then out of gas" Maybe a good idea if i did not turn up. Good idea Billy and tell me how it goes Grant The further away from a traffic copper i am tha happier i am.
  15. << They are actually 24" but at least it's JAP and RED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >> Jap and Red ....no you are not taking mine either. If i was to add all the alloys i now own together they would make 24inch. Grant
  16. Anyone else fancy heading up from Glasgow area. 1100am at Ikea, Braehead. Grant
  17. And we also know what your weather forecasting is like. Grant
  18. Well done that man. Me next for some of that AndyF goodness. Grant
  19. << Reverse gear doesn't have syncro !! However it shouldn't crunch either. ---john--- >> True but the rest do have synchros and they will still spin if you go from any forward gear into reverse. The idler gear will also spin forward due to the blow by of the other gears spinning like mad. Grumbler by they sounds of things, and it is hard to dignose wothout seeing the car, it sounds as if your clutch is the problem. The drive plate is not been completly freed when you dip the clutch. Also check your fluid level in the gearbox and the age of the fluid. Maybe give you a pointer in the direction of your problem. Grant
  20. How about all those heading to Knockhill meet at Ikea for say 11am for a wee jaunt up to Knockhill via the back roads. A damn sight less stressful than heading up the motorway. Grant
  21. << Good to meet some new faces. Callum, me likey the Falcon!! Will see yous on Saturday with faster and QUIETER car!!!!! >> Understatement of the century, esp the faster car bit. Need a pee, christ i will be up all night pishing for Scotland with the Coke i drunk. Cracking fish and chips, good recommmendation Wilky. Wilky's car just makes you want a STI RA with all the right bits on it. Grant
  22. Interesting. Grant
  23. I had a pee in the layby ay Haddington, does that count. OK i will get my coat Grant
  24. If you select reverse too quickly the synchro wont mesh properly. Good technique to avoid crunching is to let the clutch out in neutral before dipping it again to select reverse. Works for me in my old shed. Grant
  25. Between 6.30 and 7.00 at Ikea, Braehead
