  1. Welcome along. Enjoy yourself. Another blob joins the group
  2. Aw shucks Ritchie ! . No problem at all. Was good to meet and have a chat especially given we have similar cars/mods going on - we'd just be bad influences on each other given what we want to do to them . Seen worse dirty engine bays but that just gives it a wee freshen up, not perfect but better. Now the prep work is done, where's the candidate for the next stage
  3. Reckon unless there's someone that knows very little about two intercoolers on a Subaru bidding you're in with a shout there . To be honest though just stick with what you have !! Noe, go have a wee drink for your birthday - just a wee one mind it is a school night !!
  4. How much did you bid Kenny?
  5. Shame that you feel this way. Don't do anything rash, reckon few folks will try change your mind. Personally, the majority of the time, I find it very useful and helpful and it's the folk on here that do that. Yeah I'd say it has been quiet recently but to the same extent it's been like that in the past but picks up and likely go quiet at some point again. I've been helped out a lot by a member on here recently and must say it pushed me to very recently help out another member - as said to me it's what the site is about and it's so true. The squabbles are few and far between and on occasion even amusing at times - just don't get involved and forget about it. Although I didn't make the Highland fling I've read loads of the posts (1 or two of them!) and the banter seems excellent. There's plenty of meets appearing so as said at the start your mind may be changed.
  6. When I put my smaller decals on I did much the same kinda things you've just noted. Strip off the area from any polish/wax/sealant. Wipe on some soap and water so that you can position it exactly where you want it before it sticks. Then there's the scraper/credit card to push out any bubbles. As said also just take your time with it. I don't really use the jet wash to try to fully wash the car anyways, more to remove obvious surface dirt/grit so don't get close enough to it to blast off decals anyway but as a just in case might be good idea not to jet wash. Be good to see the before and afters.
  7. No problem at all....is very funny after all !! In touch with the company you mentioned so working to see what they can get produced for me...many ta's.
  8. I'm looking for a supplier for car window stickers. Not a large order and fairly straight forward design so may suit somene that does it for themselves ??
  9. Nice and, well white. If the suns out hope whoever is driving behind you has sunglasses - and if the original snow forecast is right then you may be heard but not seen.
  10. Looking good Barry, coming together nice with the Wulsey touch !
  11. Been looking at this as a possible for myself and think Hypertech do it (well they used to) if they're anywhere near you. Harvey supposed brilliant quality but a little expensive.

  13. Will this be extended beyond 10 names ? Add mine if so. I see overnight the spaces have filled up nicely !! Wuz, Andy replied to my question saying "Ideally between 24th May and the 6th of July " so reckon you'd have time.
  14. Is there a timeframe as to when the booking would have to be taken within ? I'm a maybe at the moment...under review !
  15. Oooh, good price Arch . Will give Alyn a call too. Cheers folks.
  16. Those are sold. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=147107 At least I know what they look like though now, ta.
  17. As the title says, looking to get some new plugs. Needing reliable places to go and look at getting them ??
  18. Good stuff Phil. Let us know how you get on, although it may be not until you run out of fuel on the way home If you're okay about it can you add a quick note of the upgrades you've added to get the new figures, getting close to a wee change myself and getting as much info together as can.
  19. What's the finish product you used on that Paul ? Just a little bit of a nice vehicle !!
  20. Sorry to hear the dilema in the first place, you've done what you can to hold on but guess there comes a point when it makes no more sense. The cars spec is nice, below average miles, and sounds like you look after it. However, fear that you'd may be get more back taking most of the mods off - but of course factor in paying for standards going back on and a possible remap. Perhaps get in touch with e.g. Gav from Grieves and ask advice on prices - may be they'd even welcome a quality WRX?? I think there's a 2004 WRX for sale on snet at the moment too, check out that spec and price as comparison. If you've some time (and don't reply to that so potential buyers don't take the "p" with cheeky offers) then as noted may be ask top price for it, it is a good car afterall, and only a turbo change away from another 30bhp (ish). If no luck then you've at least tried. Going by recent posts on here there's a few upgrading standard blobs !!
  21. Good stuff. Feel like a new, quicker, car. Just leave it on and stop playing with the button
  22. As I understand it the STi intercooler is bigger taking in more air, therefore the undertray is a different shape on top of the IC from the WRX one to get as much air to it as possible. The STi scoop is also bigger, meant to pull in more air, so the undertray is a different shape than the WRX one inside the scoop. I have just purchased an STi undertray modified to fit a WRX scoop (really hope this works!!) as not overly fussed about an STi scoop. I spoke to AndyF about this last year and he said not essential to have an STi scoop, but the STi undertray fits in an STi scoop so usually the two go together.
  23. Not sure I'll answer your question but may let you also look elsewhere. Recently gave the engine bay a wee clean, a few bits to change soon so not given full attention but : - Airbox hose and "Y"pipe are Samco - Heater Hose kit (comes with 11pcs but think only 9pcs fitted at moment) is Autobahn88 which wasn't too expensive and swiftly sent.
  24. Welcome along. ....and ouch !
  25. With ppp is that not basically the sportscat exhaust system, y-pipe and remap ?? In which case if the 3" exhaust is the whole lot (inc downpipe) then I'd say it does need a remap, and it is beyond the ppp given the dp cat is totally gone. Just my thoughts.
