  1. Lookin good....now don't forget the plates !
  2. Welcome along. A UK300 or two in here so plenty advice etc floating about for you if needed. Get yourself along to meets/events and say hello.
  3. Looking the part and then some now Gordon. Decals suit it I think. Shame didn't work out time wise to pop by to help with the bay as would've quite liked a wee look over it, sure see it some time.
  4. I know the budget won't stretch but was working on one of these over the weekend, very plesantly surprised at how nice it is and how easy it is to drive given its tank like proportions .
  5. Ah just get it remapped anyway ! Lovely looking example by the way, nice nice.
  6. My wife has been hinting at similar so had been looking in to it a bit - but it ain't happening !! Qashqai - should be able to get a decent model for that budget. Maybe just the one I was in but felt a little plasticy, didn't like seats and spec seemed minimal. Have a friend who has one and they really like it, in fact about to change and talking of just getting another one but upgraded. Kuga - 2 models, be doing well to find either 2nd hand for the budget but cheaper one is the Zetec which is fine aparts from the blue or orange splashes inside, will be knocked off my seat if you find a Titanium one for that money. I like them and at the top of my list but just not sure I see the money in them, but they do seem to be holding their price well. Santa Fe - newer models looks nicer nowadays but to be honest never been in one. Badge snob perhaps. Friend had a black one with dark tints and nice wheels on it and from outside looked good. Seen decent deals on nearly new on them from memory. Afraid it's likely best for a trudge around garages to check them out in person.
  7. It is good stuff isn't it ! Used that on Imy's car from the Santa cruise raffle, brought it back to life a treat. Covered it over with FK1000p for long term durability...not sure if it is still working ??? As for keeping it clean, wee tip perhaps, buy some Last Touch and spray the bodywork just before you dry it (after a wash obviously) - it helps with the drying but also gives just that little extra shine too. May seem a tad expensive but mixes 50/50 with water so should last a while. Good stuff too to spray on a bird cr@p before you remove it as well. Again, nicely done lads, gotta love the shine from black.
  8. Hang on ...... .... that's better, can see the pics now. Nicely done boys, shined up well. What did you use on it ?
  9. All the better then, brembos will sit nicely in there ! Never had that happen to my discs before, quick paint and all was fine.
  10. Looks like a job well done. You planning on tidying up the space between the disc and wheel? , just that I recently did the same on mine and it looked a whole lot better.
  11. Black is best - just further proof !! Well done, nice to see a bit of shine now and then. Black always comes up nice when you put the effort in. Be interesting to see with that product if it lasts a decent time. Just reminding me I need to get stuck in to mine, over the winter/spring has picked up a few flaws plus needs a clay and fresh coat or 5, just finding the time !
  12. Ah he's a good fella ! Is out of his way to the "North" side ?
  13. Not for me, but a friend, is looking to have his alloy wheels refurb'ed. Standard car/wheels that are used generally to bounce off the kerb to assist when parking along with some current flaking so need stripped and redone. Looking for recommendations in ideally South Lanarkshire. I know folk on here have used Chameleon Colour Coatings in Renfrew which is a bit of a trek but if they are well worth it in peoples opinion then I will pass on their details.
  14. I was in Hamilton this morning...but not I as my car ain't a hatch or silver...in fact only replying as you've got me in the mood for some equi's ice-cream....mmmmmmm
  15. Good stuff...so what's on the shopping list ?
  16. If it is a WRX, not an STi, then going with the STi TMIC would be the way to go as it should handle any power you throw at it until other bits break first. There comes a power point in the WRX where there is a risk to the gearbox and internals. Have a look at KennyUK300, PhilMC and my posts recently for type of mods we've recently done for more power on WRX's and we all now have STi IC's. Also look on Andy Forrests website for power gain ideas. Even the folk with STi's that have over 400bhp still have their IC on. The IC upgrade is a worthwhile change but I'd say more so along with other items being changed at the same time.
  17. Whether it be more power / better handling / better brakes / new tyres from the Kames session Or the sunny weather has you wanting to sprouse up the cars appearance Or Just cause you can - what's been changing ?? Half way through the year now.....how's everyone getting on improving their cars ? Any new ideas ? Finally gave mine a few little extra ponies - no more on the car with insurance not far away. It will however be getting stripped right back and given it's summer sparkle as soon as I find a spare few days.
  18. Ah, that's better Ritchie, looking nice. Wulsey's red hosed bug was my inspiration for doing mine, did look great next to the white bodywork didn't it !! You never know Bobby ! Funnily enough a few are asking about cleaning where most don't see now.
  19. Cheers for the comments. Getting used to it more now. Enjoying it - reckon so !
  20. Well from about 2 months after I had the TD04 remapped Jan last year I've had my mind on getting the next upgrades done. Today it all came together with the Andy Forrest final touch finishing it all off. As always Andy many thanks and pleasure meeting you again. First off though, a massive public thanks to Barry (badbaz) for all his mechanical help and the patience to get the car through a couple of 2nd hand part teething issues. I ain't going to go on and on and inflate his ego anymore but lets just say he'll have a clean car whenever he wants for quite a while...well at least till winter time . Very methodical, takes right time to go through each step and liking Scoobs (just a bit) takes the time to talk to you about it all. Thanks once again . Had all the bits to take the TD04 to 279/302 before so on with the STi IC, pinks and a VF35 (thanks Peter). Being a breezy day the power runs came back twice the same over two separate times in each direction with a 330bhp/327LbFt and a 342bhp/334LbFt...so I'll go in the middle and say I have about 336/330 - if I'm honest though the numbers are just a nice to know it is more how it drives ! Andy said my TD04 was a torque wee sole so the feeling difference isn't massive, with boost coming in later, but I can feel the extra power once it gets up the revs...just means I'll need to adjust my driving style a bit . Enough chat, I'm off out for a drive, yes Barry, I really am going to drive it....then wash it .
  21. Dephaser eh Ritchie, set to stun when they spoke to you about £700 was it........yes, I know
  22. As happy as a dog with two....I bet. Excellent results Kenny. Not as exclusive a club as it used to be but a nice one to be part of. Hopefully I'll get along on Saturday and see it/you in person.
  23. When you say leaking, is it a dribble or pouring out ? I get a little water from mine (not Karcher). If you have a karcher then the lance should've came with the fitment for a karcher ? Yeah, fiddle about with the mix and also the spray nozzle till your happy with what's on the car. In the recent hot weather just keep in mind maybe not leave the foam on as long as it will dry, pain to get off after that.
  24. Nicely done, lovely shine going on in the pics. Good freshen up for the nice weather we will of course now have for the rest of the summer !! If the paintwork is in good nic, and that's a credit to you, then no point taking a machine to it when a good cleanse, protect and shine will do.
  25. Reckon most that see that front come up behind them will get out the way before it eats them up and spits them out - aye just a tad aggressive !!
