  1. Good to meet you Phil, that run home led you well astray eh !!! Nice numbers.
  2. To be honest not sure there is a right answer for you. We live in Scotland so it's got to do both wet, drenched and dry roads. Do you push your car all the time, now and then or a happy cruiser. Just don't skrimp on them and doubt you'll go far wrong. You seen the new Michelin tweels, our roads get any worse and I reckon they could be a big hit if every sold !! (tried to upload a few pics i have of them but it isn't working )
  3. Hang on hang on Barry ! Are you sure you "washed" it. Just to be clear..... - setting off the fire extinguisher over the car is NOT the same as snow foaming ! - letting the kids throw water balloons at the car is NOT really going to clean it - driving up and down the motorway is NOT really the way to dry it ! Just remember, all you need to do is ask, as chance had it I was helping someone out today so it've been no bother - but hey impressed that I seem to be slowly converting you
  4. Lot of birthdays this week ! Have a great day Gus, Happy Birthday
  5. Just a thought on the switch. Have you called Nobles and asked them how much the switch costs and how long it would take for them to get it in stock ? I doubt EH are ordering through Nobles but at least that way you can go armed with the info that it only takes ?? days to get it from the local Subaru dealership at ££ cost so add on a day for admin and a day for shipping you'd expect it by a certain date. May also be a doddle to fit the switch and it is something Nobles could do in seconds while in for the diagnostics. If you still get nowhere then you can start with the cancel the order threats. Nice n loud, but not shouting, in the middle of the showroom !!
  6. Soundie are you crazy......the cig ash would go all over the engine bay Although the idea of standing about having car chat is fine not sure how a group buy bit would work. The engine needs to be cold (or very near it) otherwise the products would dry too quickly plus I'd likely scald myself (all but me would find that funny!!). Hmm, Edinburgh may be bit far for an engine bay, drop me a note and can chat if you want, even if I end up just giving you some tips don't mind helping. Cheers for the positive comments folks. Can't take all the credit though, Ritchie did dab a few spots of water with the drying towel brilliantly .
  7. Welcome along. Enjoy yourself. Another blob joins the group
  8. Aw shucks Ritchie ! . No problem at all. Was good to meet and have a chat especially given we have similar cars/mods going on - we'd just be bad influences on each other given what we want to do to them . Seen worse dirty engine bays but that just gives it a wee freshen up, not perfect but better. Now the prep work is done, where's the candidate for the next stage
  9. Reckon unless there's someone that knows very little about two intercoolers on a Subaru bidding you're in with a shout there . To be honest though just stick with what you have !! Noe, go have a wee drink for your birthday - just a wee one mind it is a school night !!
  10. Happy Birthday Kenny. Have a crackin day !!
  11. Shame that you feel this way. Don't do anything rash, reckon few folks will try change your mind. Personally, the majority of the time, I find it very useful and helpful and it's the folk on here that do that. Yeah I'd say it has been quiet recently but to the same extent it's been like that in the past but picks up and likely go quiet at some point again. I've been helped out a lot by a member on here recently and must say it pushed me to very recently help out another member - as said to me it's what the site is about and it's so true. The squabbles are few and far between and on occasion even amusing at times - just don't get involved and forget about it. Although I didn't make the Highland fling I've read loads of the posts (1 or two of them!) and the banter seems excellent. There's plenty of meets appearing so as said at the start your mind may be changed.
  12. When I put my smaller decals on I did much the same kinda things you've just noted. Strip off the area from any polish/wax/sealant. Wipe on some soap and water so that you can position it exactly where you want it before it sticks. Then there's the scraper/credit card to push out any bubbles. As said also just take your time with it. I don't really use the jet wash to try to fully wash the car anyways, more to remove obvious surface dirt/grit so don't get close enough to it to blast off decals anyway but as a just in case might be good idea not to jet wash. Be good to see the before and afters.
  13. No problem at all....is very funny after all !! In touch with the company you mentioned so working to see what they can get produced for me...many ta's.
  14. I'm looking for a supplier for car window stickers. Not a large order and fairly straight forward design so may suit somene that does it for themselves ??
  15. Nice and, well white. If the suns out hope whoever is driving behind you has sunglasses - and if the original snow forecast is right then you may be heard but not seen.
  16. Looking good Barry, coming together nice with the Wulsey touch !
  17. Been looking at this as a possible for myself and think Hypertech do it (well they used to) if they're anywhere near you. Harvey supposed brilliant quality but a little expensive.
  18. 1. jim dbm 2. r a dunk 3. 14n-fr 4. x444 wrx 5. alzauk300 6. diffbuster 7. Scooby Doom 8. geosub 9. georgef 10. WUZ 11. ali37 12. C_WRX 13. 14. 15. 16. 17. 18. 19. 20.
  19. Will this be extended beyond 10 names ? Add mine if so. I see overnight the spaces have filled up nicely !! Wuz, Andy replied to my question saying "Ideally between 24th May and the 6th of July " so reckon you'd have time.
  20. Is there a timeframe as to when the booking would have to be taken within ? I'm a maybe at the moment...under review !
  21. Me ? - Valet Pro I think, a little bit of Megs shampoo plus in there as well (think lot use hyper wash but that's expensive stuff!)
  22. The foam lance is a lot better if willing spend the money. Different fitments for different pressure washers. It doesn't clean your car but does reduce wash inflicted damage. Carwash n wax is in Cambuslang. Very understated premises but Chemical Guys products is good stuff and seem like decent guys there. http://www.chemicalguysuk.com/
