  1. Oooh, good price Arch . Will give Alyn a call too. Cheers folks.
  2. Those are sold. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=147107 At least I know what they look like though now, ta.
  3. As the title says, looking to get some new plugs. Needing reliable places to go and look at getting them ??
  4. Good stuff Phil. Let us know how you get on, although it may be not until you run out of fuel on the way home If you're okay about it can you add a quick note of the upgrades you've added to get the new figures, getting close to a wee change myself and getting as much info together as can.
  5. What's the finish product you used on that Paul ? Just a little bit of a nice vehicle !!
  6. Sorry to hear the dilema in the first place, you've done what you can to hold on but guess there comes a point when it makes no more sense. The cars spec is nice, below average miles, and sounds like you look after it. However, fear that you'd may be get more back taking most of the mods off - but of course factor in paying for standards going back on and a possible remap. Perhaps get in touch with e.g. Gav from Grieves and ask advice on prices - may be they'd even welcome a quality WRX?? I think there's a 2004 WRX for sale on snet at the moment too, check out that spec and price as comparison. If you've some time (and don't reply to that so potential buyers don't take the "p" with cheeky offers) then as noted may be ask top price for it, it is a good car afterall, and only a turbo change away from another 30bhp (ish). If no luck then you've at least tried. Going by recent posts on here there's a few upgrading standard blobs !!
  7. Photobucket account. It is the IMG code link that you copy and paste on to here.
  8. Can't find your specific one but reckon it should be fine, but you should never get right up close with the pressure washer lance anyways. Great for under the wheels arches. Careful on the wheels too. Don't try and fully clean the car with a pressure washer, it just takes some surface grit/dirt off before the mitt/shampoo wash, then rinse off with washer if you want. A proper foam lance isn't cheap as you'll see on below link, reckon you'd have to be more than just a quick wash once a month type a person to justify buying the lance and snow foam. However I do wash a car quite often and I am very glad I bought mine -vs- the Gilmour (hose attach) which is now gathering dust in the garage. http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acatalog/pa...lance-wash.html (other place will stock this, they're just an example)
  9. Good stuff. Feel like a new, quicker, car. Just leave it on and stop playing with the button
  10. As I understand it the STi intercooler is bigger taking in more air, therefore the undertray is a different shape on top of the IC from the WRX one to get as much air to it as possible. The STi scoop is also bigger, meant to pull in more air, so the undertray is a different shape than the WRX one inside the scoop. I have just purchased an STi undertray modified to fit a WRX scoop (really hope this works!!) as not overly fussed about an STi scoop. I spoke to AndyF about this last year and he said not essential to have an STi scoop, but the STi undertray fits in an STi scoop so usually the two go together.
  11. Not sure I'll answer your question but may let you also look elsewhere. Recently gave the engine bay a wee clean, a few bits to change soon so not given full attention but : - Airbox hose and "Y"pipe are Samco - Heater Hose kit (comes with 11pcs but think only 9pcs fitted at moment) is Autobahn88 which wasn't too expensive and swiftly sent.
  12. Welcome along. ....and ouch !
  13. With ppp is that not basically the sportscat exhaust system, y-pipe and remap ?? In which case if the 3" exhaust is the whole lot (inc downpipe) then I'd say it does need a remap, and it is beyond the ppp given the dp cat is totally gone. Just my thoughts.
  14. Nice one Gus. So are the two of you going out for a wee drink this evening to celebrate - you an irn-bru (you're driving of course!) and the classic some v-power ?
  15. Good to see you and the other half both fully agree black is the best colour !!
  16. You are good at sniffing out a bargain or two aren't you ! That's some good prices there. STi intercooler for 330/340 ?
  17. Welcome along. What you driving, even a pic or two.
  18. As noted look through the Andy F list. Andy is a when it comes to transforming your cars performance. The more upgrades you can make, certainly at the beginning levels, the better the improvement. I have on my WRX level 1 with some of level 2 and run just shy of 280bhp, notice a difference, not massive compared to some, but it's there. Level 1 260-280 bhp Full Decat or Sportscat exhaust from turbo back 2.5 or 3” bore - the Blob WRX has 3 cats from memory. The more you can get rid of the better come remap time. I have a sportscat in the downpipe for MOT time. Mid-section easiest to replace. Your exhaust mid-section I believe is different to the saloon model?? otherwise I may have been able to help you out there. Ecutek Custom ECU recalibration (similar to PPP) & Twin boost set up for high/low power switchable in-car - this is what AndyF does for you Walbro 255 l/hr uprated fuel pump - believe is more for reliability than performance K+N panel filter - cheap and cheerful change for better breathing May be that someone with power you're interested in lives near by and can take you for a run. Get along to a local meet and sure a friendly sole will help if can. By the way, it isn't going to be cheap !!!
  19. In the 3 and a bit years I've owned mine only got one bad skelp to the windscreen....on the day I drove it home !! Not bad enough to crack and never got any worse so still there. Last car I had when they repaired the windscreen they fitted it slightly wrong so when the car moved it just cracked the windscreen again - had me thinking I drove it too early. Just your luck I guess - well that and if you have to drive on rubbish roads !!
  20. What did you paint the discs with, my new ones have gone rusty colour where yours are now black, very unsightly !!
  21. Good stuff Maxy. Was wondering how you got on. Out of interest, what else is Andy suggesting you fit to get more from it ?
  22. Welcome along. Always a soft spot for the WR1.
  23. Could see why your hacked off, but if a smallish local garage then there's probably hee haw interest from them if you are to complain and unless there's any visable damage not sure can do much. A larger garage should for customer satisfaction want to know. If the MOT station is less than 4 miles away worth asking where else they went ? Doesn't mean it was mistreated, loud music wont hurt it, but can see what you're getting at. If work was done often it's taken for a short test drive as well. Did the driver want his CD back ??
