About spot2

  1. I'll keep you updated 222. I've been huffing about all day.....must remember it's just a car (or so I'm being told!!)
  2. Dan, Can't guarantee when i'll be able to get them off the car. Need to get into the garage and find the originals first and flat out at work at the mo'. However Jap Performance parts have a set in at the moment for £50 although they didn't come with the locking tool when I enquired last year about another set. I would take £40 plus postage if you can wait though. Cheers Graham P.S. I adore your Lupo but a bit more than I was hoping to pay (but well worth it ) Good luck with the sale i'm sure it won't hang about in that condition.
  3. Dan, I'll be taking a set of blue Rays nuts (with locking tool) from my Scoob in the next few days. I got these straight from Japan last year. Unfortunately finances dictate a change of whip so I'll be taking some of the more 'choice' parts off before sale If you still need them I'll give you shout when there off. Cheers Graham P.S. I don't suppose you've still got that Lupo?
  4. Thanks for the kind words 222. It genuinely means alot. I appreciate it is 'only' a car but I think we all feel our Scoobs are soooo much more than that. Indeed, this site is much more to me than merely a collection of likeminded individuals sharing a passion. I may have the smallest 'post' count in SIDC history (in my 4+ years of paid membership) but can always rely on honest, articulate responses when I do. So thanks again.
  5. It is with great regret that I am being forced to wave goodbye to 6 years of Scoob ownership and sell my beloved 54plate WRX Impreza. After breaking up with my partner last spring I simply can not afford to run the car on a daily basis and I am not in a financial position to get a 'runaround' and keep it as a weekend toy. I have done everything possible to try and keep 'her' (the car that is) but it is imposing too big a burden on my already stretched budget. I have stopped smoking and have only had a skinful once this year and have even downsized my house but all to no avail. So I MUST sell but do I sell 'as is' or do I return to fairly close to standard. (I have retained most of the original parts) My car has been mildly but thoughtfully modded and is now producing 303bhp and 318lb/ft torque. I have included the current spec. -STI winglets and foglight covers -Tein Superstreet coilovers -Tein strut brace (performance bar) -Whiteline topmounts (flipped through 180 degrees) -Whiteline droplinks, antilift kit and front (22mm) and rear (24MM) ARBs -Hayward & Scott up-pipe (heat wrapped), Afterburner downpipe, Afterburner decat centre with a custom Hayward & Scott 6"x4" backbox -Zero sports air intake pipe with a Green panel filter -Andy forrest remap (two to date) -17x7.5 Compomotive TH3's with 10mm Eibach hubcentric spacers -STI 8 rep scoop -Detangoed -Rays wheel nuts -Walbro 255l fuel pump -AP six-pot calipers with Godspeed 330mm discs -uprated rear discs/pads with stainless steel lines allround -radiator shroud -Forge radiator hoses - STI Topmount intercooler and undertray - STI 'pink' 550cc injectors The car has 11 months tax and just had a £645 cambelt service and 'very fast road' (Duncans words)geometry settings and 4-wheel laser alignment done at Hypertech. It has currently circa 44K on the clock. On similar previous posts several members have advised not to sell but I really must. Any comments regarding 'modded' or not would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance A heartbroken Graham P.S Any pointers on pricing would be great too.
  6. Done (and can I say a very good idea)
  7. Kev, pray do tell fella..................................
  8. Sorry for the hi-jack, but I am running exactly the same set-up (but with Whiteline droplinks too) and unfortunately I am having the same prob. The cars in with Duncan ( @Hypertech) on Monday for a service. I'll ask him to have a look and report back ASAP Cheers Graham
  9. I think that might be Overfinch. They do some awesome conversions!! Thanks for the replies so far chaps. If my old boy is thinking of spending circa £40k I/we would rather hear these stories now. My immediate thoughts were the Range Rover Vogue - are the above problems/issues apparent in this model too? What alternatives (other manufacturers) would be a viable consideration? Thanks again guys
  10. Hi there and Happy New Year all, My pa has decided that due to the recent bad weather and a fairly recent move to the 'remoteness' of St Andrews he needs a 4-wheel drive (unfortunately no amount of persuasion will talk him into a Scoob!). He has decided upon a Range Rover Sport, not the 2010 model, but it would be a '58 or an '09 plate. Has anyone any first-hand experience of this car? And what engine/spec would he be best advised to go for? (It must be a diesel). Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance Graham
  11. Apologies for the thread hijack but what wheels did you end up with on the Lupo Dan? Cheers Graham
  12. Hi there, I've had a number of different scoops on my 54plate WRX. I currently have an STI replica scoop from Scoobyworld and can report no issues with it. (if you check out my car in the 'SIDC Garage' you'll see it fitted) As Paul said, to get the full benefits of the STI intercooler you need the undertray too (I also got mine remapped after adding this and a few other mods) If its a genuine scoop your after Scoobyparts have them in stock at £199 but thats unpainted. Hope this helps Graham
  13. Hi there, I was just leaving my work when a 'vision of beauty' roared past on the road out to Dounreay. Black WRX or STI hatch (i was 300 yards away so not too sure) with pink/red wheels. Cracking looking and sounding machine. Cheers G
