  3. Seems like it was futile anyway, but if no names down by tomorrow night I wont be waiting around. Just be taking a quick stop for supplies while heading through to Inverness.
  4. Hah! Don't blame him! Been ages since I've seen an RB5 up close and personal
  5. You might not be too bad.. Fiar bit of wind in these parts at the moment and roads are drying fairly quickly.
  6. Just back from a 120mile round trip in the scoob.. probably the longest journey I had in it for months (maybe even over a year ago!).. All is well.. But I seem to have aquired a sore neck as a result .. This could be an interesting weekend
  7. Yeah Got a yellow weather warning of heavy rain and risk of flooding from midnight tonight until 3pm friday.. Hope no-one is runnign semi-slicks! So far Skye looking good at the weekend
  8. These ones might... During the week commencing Monday, 23 April 2012, mobile safety cameras will be deployed at the following locations: Caithness and Sutherland A99 Mid Clyth A836 Castletown A882 Watten Ross and Cromarty B817 Shore Road, Invergordon A9 Fearn, by Tain A834 Strathpeffer Road, Dingwall A835 Inverlael Straight, near Ullapool A832 Avoch A835 Mill Street, Ullapool Inverness A82 Invergarry Power Station A82 Alltsigh Youth Hostel, by Invermoriston A96 West of Allanfearn junction, Inverness A9 Daviot, by Inverness A9 Altnasleanach, by Inverness Badenoch, Strathspey & Nairnshire A96 East Auldearn junction, by Nairn A95 north of Cromdale A95 Drumullie, by Boat of Garten A95 Congash, by Grantown on Spey A939 Ferness to Grantown on Spey Lochaber A82 White Corries, Rannoch Moor A82 Kingshouse Hotel, Glencoe *Please note that the deployment schedule may be subject to change according to operational priorities and weather conditions. The aim of the mobile camera units is not to detect speeders but to remind drivers of the dangers of inappropriate speed and of the need to slow down. Safety camera signs at the side of the road to inform you that there is a history of collisions and high speed on the route so you should reduce your speed and take particular care. All safety camera sites covered by Partnership have a proven history of collisions and evidence of speeding vehicles. However, drivers may from time to time see mobile cameras at other sites where both vehicle and road users are at greater risk, such as road works.
  9. He'd better be there in a SUBARU! Forecast was for rain a few days ago but its looking like the weather is going to clear up a bit for the weekend and with temps of 15C rumoured
  10. Nice! Quite keen on a future mod to add some colour to the WRX interior.. At least the STi's have blue door cards to brighten the place up! WRX is all black..
  11. I'm not a huge fan of plain CF looking stuff. But if it's colour coded and the weave is showing through slightly.. Strangely I think that's a really nice effect
  12. Quite like that stype of bonnet.. But onyl certain cars can truely pull it off... You "might" jsut get away with it! Busy watchign F1 qualy at the mometn otherwise I'd go googling for some photos of it fitted. BTW - SOunds liek your in for a busy week! THat's me pretty much ready now. GOt one last 'test session' on Wednesday as I take a trip through to Fraserburgh
  13. On the panic buyign front.. it's worth noting that had there not been panic buying the govenment would have to conceed that hte country was falling back into recession again.. The panic buying generated enough income right at the end of the financial year for them to just hit above the cut-off... .. Maybe there was madness in their method afterall
  14. True.. that deesn't help the panic buying.. And yeah local stations were blocked out onto the main A96 a couple weeks back with peopel goign mad! Annoyingly I filled up with T99 the other day and now developed a misfire on the car Grrr!
  15. Should be safe... Next round of talks are on Monday and they need to give at least 7 days notice for a strike, so if anythign is goign to happen it'll be after the fling
  16. Hi John, Welcome Check out the main event thread here for full details -
  17. Lo All, Thought it was about time to post a suggested meet point in Elgin for those coming through from the north-east on the Satuday Morning. (Not sure how many folks are coming from this corner of the world but never mind...) Looking to depart Elgin no later than 8:15am!!. I know that may seem early, but gives plenty of time to get through to Inverness, via the shell garage at Raigmore and back down to Start point again with plenty of time to settle down before departure at 10am. If everyone on the list is there early we can head off early Elgin Convoy Meet - Tesco Carpark, Elgin 8:00am - Saturday 28th April 1. ScoUK 2. 3. 4. 5.
  18. The car they had before was a show car they were given to show off the model.. They still have one of their own that they are in the middle of buiding (along with all the other projects they have at the moment) Just needs the interior done, painted stuck throught eh SVA test (or whatever they call it these days) and it's pretty much there. Yeah the Murtaya project went splat a couple years ago but fortunately someone has come alogn and bought it up.. But sadly all teh marketing that went on before hand had fizzled away and the new owners are havign to build the brand back up again. After speaking with Bitz yesterday it seems in about 2 years time or so things will be back up in full swing again.. There was word of havign rally models and perhaps havign it's own racign series similar to the Ginetta series.. But nothing concrete at this time.. I think it's a great thing if you have an old subaru which has maybe seen better days but mechanicalyl sound, turn it into somethign exciting again!
  19. ... actually! you might be onto something there! We you make our own Fast&Furious haven/beach party!.. Although finding a beach, boose, and some babes on the west coast could be a struggle
  20. Here's a recenty writeup from BadBaz on the removal on a blobeye.. Probably much teh same I'd imagine
  21. Holy crap! My Bugeye has only done 75k! 35k in my hands..
  22. Just want to say big thanks to Bitz Motorsport in Nairn today for giving the Scooby a check over and a wee tweak.. Wass't expecting much of a difference but certainly on the way home steering felt more direct. On the drive through I found myself having to make second adjustments mid corner but on the drive home spot on! No major changes but just nice to get everything running straight as it can.. At least until the first pothole The Hunter system they have installed in really sweet! Not seen such an interactive kit as that before, and stupidly sensitive/accurate! But as with most things it's only as good as the operator. And with that, spot on, Kris was more than happy to discuss changes and personal set-up on the car, rather than just slapping everything to what the book says.. Very useful when the only standard supension part left is the front ARB And with added discount for SIDC Members, can't complain.. Made sure all necessary nuts and bolts were broken free before hand, to save them hassle & all important time Cheers Guys! Only thing left to do before the fling now is find a long enough vacuum hose hose for the boost gauge, Tweak the ECU map as I hit slight overboost a couple of times today, serves be right for tightening the wastegate a touch to try and reach target. Just need to cut the wastegate duty cycle down a bit, and finally give it a wash
