Anyone know where I can find a version of the Scottish Scoobies logo anywhere in electronic form? The same logo that was used for the clothing but in a nice glossy colourful format? Thanks

Woohoo! Just got an email saying the T-Shirts are now available!! I'd buy 3! but already spent this months scooby budget Next month... P.s. "If" Petter/Atkinson drop out on day one can we persuade them not to compete in super-rally and send them back to the UK via concorde?

Sa-Weeeet!!!!! Nice one!

Thanks a lot guys and gals for the warm reception! As I mentioned above, I've probably bitten off more than I can chew but I'm sure we'll get there in the end! Been a little too much chaos and disorganisation up here recently so it's long overdue that we have a proper club base in the area! Here's to the future!

Me!! I really don’t know what I’m letting myself in for with this. But I’m happy to take on the challenge of getting the Northereners organised and promoting ourselves in the hope of getting more Impreza Enthusiasts to join the SIDC. We have seen an increasing number of new impreza’s along at meets the past few months and we need to try and grow on that.. Note: This is not strictly a switch from the Highland area, this will be a new region in between Inverness and Aberdeen hopefully we’ll get a few joint meets along the way! There’s plenty more Impreza’s in this area.. I keep getting waves from them even Evo’s are responding! Online Promotion So what’s the plan.. Well it’s still being drafted up.. But I’ll be trying to put together a new website to promote the area’s scoobies. Photo galleries of our cars and the people who drive them.. “Write your own mini profile sort of thing”, Details of local motoring related dates will be published there.. Like rally events, hill climbs motor shows e.t.c For anyone interested. Forum? Nope Keeping that on the SIDC where it belongs!! Also this morning had an idea of a wee Show N’ Shine area of the site.. Seems there’s a few of us in to the detailing malarkey so makes sense to show it off and even give out a few tips. Meets Meets, will arrange a regular meet time and place monthly.. Looking for ideas of a location we can go to.. Somewhere where we can sit down have a chat about stuff maybe a wee bite to eat and ample “safe” parking. Use this as a base point so everyone knows where we meet up.. Not every meet has to be a run round the country side. For runs I’d say initially meet at B&Q carpark in Elgin, where the runs make this a sensible start point. We got good response from the local public the time we did that. I’ll have to look into getting some sort of banner to put up when we do that Runs should end up at our regular meeting place so if you don’t fancy a run or the car aren’t running right you can still come along for a bit of banter at the end. You know where we’ll be. Events Event wise, looking to more diverse events, rather than runs all the time. What about a deal on a Skid Car Day? Fancy karting? Trying your hand at Off-Road Driving? These are all things available in the local area. I’d love to give them a go and I wouldn’t have thought I’m alone.. Driving Skill One thing I’d like to try and promote is more of a driver skill function. I’m already a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) and I’d recommend others give it a go too. I’m currently the local representative of the IAM for young drivers in the area. I won’t be forcing anyone to do it, but it would be good for the club to say we’re “Advanced Drivers”. Not only that but it genuinely makes you a safer driver! Brownie points for us and would help promote the club in good light to try and steer away from the “Boy Racer” stereotype.. If your interested and want more details give me a shout.. (Note I don’t actually do any of the training myself.) Other Events Doesn’t always have to be about the cars though.. More social events like a good ol pizz up, paint balling, bowling could all be arranged. Hopefully we will also be able to put together our own Santa Cruise fund for the local area! It has to be done! Give something back to community for all the noise pollution Finall note: Please try and bear with me for the next short while.. There’s stuff to sort out and plan, how to get things going.. Next couple of months could be a little quiet, maybe just a couple of small meets to discuss stuff.. We already have the Rolling Road day on the 5th July over at Ellon and then The Alford day the following weekend, both should be great days out.. And of course the McRae Gathering at the end of August. Dunno about anyone else but I’ll have to be saving my petrol pennies for those the next couple of months. As I mentioned over in our last meet thread, I’m looking for suggestions from anyone would like to se us get involved in.. Desperately looking for feedback, both good and bad. What do you like about the club/meets, what don’t you like.. Admittedly pretty much impossible, but I’d like to try and cater for everyone and get as many people involved as possible.. One final note… If at any time you see me sitting on my a*** as though I’m not doing anything. Gimme a kick… It’s all I’ll need to get going again. Thankyou for your time -- Al

Nice one!! Aye good bunch of lads up there.. Specially the guy who drive around in the Sierra Cosworth! They certainly know what they are doing up there and definately trusted to do the job right!! That car of your will be handling a wee bit better as well, and not wearing out the front right tyre so much

yep... Talk of the Toyota/Subaru Coupel has been flapping aroudn for a while now.. but only recently have indications of what it's goign to be and how it's goign to look come out.. that image above looks awesome! But it is just a photoshop.. However ther area some spyshots here of what coudl be the real thing: http://news.windingroad.com/body-stylesmar...baru-rwd-coupe/ I've had comments that it's got the simialr shape to a P2 but maybe jumped up a bit! Looks like Subaru Legacy headlights but with Toyota branded rear seats and Recarro fronts.. Impossible to say how it looks under all that white stuff but it needs to have a lower roof line..!

2nd time was the deer... First time was some flump not securing it to the car properly.. As long as it's fixed to the car properly and you don't hit anything it's fine...
-
Nice shots of the car there! Those wheels look far better than the last ones! You need a splitter though
-
Good choice of products That Collinite stuff lasts for ages and give a nice crisp finish Wheels, I'd reccomend Nattys Poorboys Wheel sealant (as most other folk would suggest too).. Tub of pink stuff that smells good enough to eat! Slap 2-3 coats on the wheels and they are easy cleaned for months! Only started using it a couple months ago and still the wheels are easy to keep clean!

Yeah.. Although first spotted it over on teh RB320oc forums.. Depending on what your expections are I think youll either think it's great stuff or pish.. Personally I'd say it's worth getting one batch.. From around £50 ( - any group buy discount) you get a decent touchup package for chips and minor damage.. Worth keeping a hold of IMHO.. Just about Still got a wee dent and cracked paint on the bonnet .. Everything else is patched up and repaired.. All parts primed and ready for painting... Sadly painting requires some dry hot sunny weather... *sigh* And then around 2-3 weeks to properly cure before polishing/finishing, before fitting then waxing... If a job's worth doing it's worth doing properly! Especially in the case of the Scoob.. Splitter also back in one piece again waitin to get sprayed! Note current scoop was un-damaged that a new STi one I got

Just out of internet, What products did you use for that session?

Just caught this thread.. Tidy work! & good attention to detail! Looking to give mine a good going over at the end the month before next months SIDC events... Aye, got the same problem with mine... The front and offside of my car is scattered with more stone chups than ever now.. So damn obvious when it's washed Tried a wee spot of that Stone Chip repair stuff on my front bumper gravel rash and it not too bad so far.. But the real test will be all these bloody chips! Even if I can reduce them a fair bit I'll be happy.. Otherwise will have to start saving for a re-spray

Great update!! Really scary... Had a though a coupel weeks back about spelling somethign out on the runway with the cars! The support for this event is simply unbelievable!

Mud and general road carp
-
Pretty sure it's a standard "feature" and not just imports. My UK Bugeye WRX has the gap too.. Always wondered if somethign was missing but every other impreza seems to have the same thing so figured it was normal.. No idea about the reason.. Some silly aerodynamic reason!
-
Great choice of car! I'd have an RB5 over pretty much any other Impreza If I had the choice. Definately the best Classic IMHO!

Me neither.... subject never caught my eye enough..... -
You havign a laugh! Drivign a scooby up through the high highlands and not hammer it! What's the point! But to confirm eveyone elses comments.. Last V-power stop is inverness. YOu may find Super uleaded further up but I'd take a couple bottles of Octane booster just to be safe..I'd run mine on Super if I was forced to but it may grumble at 95ron in standard form...

yep! so far so good... Not getting too excited yet though... NEw cars/drivers are often good for the first roudn out of the box in motorsport! In saying that it was a very tough rally! and Atkinsons car didn't fail it was damaged so a good early result. Looking forward to further good results.. 1-2 result in a event by the end of the year? WOudl be nice to see SUbaru back on form! -
Sounds about right...

Youll always get slight differences... Some bits cant be adjuted without remounting the suspension.. Small changes of 0.01 e.t.c are neglegable but the front camber settings where where the grip/tyre wear comes from. Some peopel set theirs up differently to the way they want it.. I'd like mine to be both closer to -0.4 but not worth the cost to get it done form what I have it set at already.. Standard is aroudn -0.2 camber at hte front.. Prodrive settings are -1.2 and the "Fast Road" settings you hear about are aroudn -0.5 If dave (Scooby222) was to post his up you'll see an example of how bad the settings can get.. His were WAY off before he got it done..
