I like it! One of the few things Ilike about the My08 is the new scoop!
-
Your every day clio sport fair enough... But there's not many of the Mid engined V6's around! They really are go karts on steroids!! And go like buggery! Woulnd't fancy driving it in the wet though! Tha phat body kit, projector headlights and V6 stamped on the back is a givaway!
-
Nope it was a new-new-age... The old-new-age wrx would have been quicker (from what I've heard of earlier reports on the new-new-age)

This is the thing that get's me... To be sensible let's look at the variosu facts... Vehicles that are gass guzzling high pollutants use more fuel, yeah! smaller cars use less fuel and pollute less yeah! Right, governments has been talkign about pay-as-your-drive for years and will no doubt soon bring it in! But we already have a pay as you drive system it's called V-power.. We have to pay to keep the cars running! Pay as you drive is a joke! and only an excuse! I know there are a lot of poople who share this thought and I'd easy be willing to sign a petition if I thought it'd do any good, but all they need to do is add add extra tax to to fuel and scrap roax tax and g/km metering! that way you get more money from gas guzzling vehicles and peopel pay more, the more miles they drive! Sure it'd mean higher fuel prices but it's more fair system! IMHO! Just goes to show the the govt liek to sneak in extra bits everywhere they can! Now why do I have to steer aroudnd about 15-20 pot-holes on my way to work every morning!!!! I'd rather pay a added tax that will sort out the roads than pay silyl taxes that have lead to crap roads and a possible huge repair bill for me if I hit one of the soddin things!
-
I tend to agree.. but it's hard times from here on in... Any future government are unlikely to reduce it! maybe put it on hold.. But it's unlikely to go down without serious intervention! It's gonne be one hell of a shock to the system! Road tax nearly doubling in a year for an early newage! WTF's that all about! Yeouch! big time!!!
-
I too only relised the dramatic change after looking at it in detail! Classics shoudl be fine.... It's only for cars registered after 1st March 2001 I.e.. Pretty much every Newage (unless they were snuck in before hand...) Sadly mine was registered 1St april 01! I can see a big shift to classics in the next couple of years!
-
Aye... By brother called me to say the same thing when he renewed his... I laugh just now for only paying £210 next month but next year it goes up to £400 ouch ya F&%^£R!! Makes me wan't a classic....
-
Don't think it was mentioend but have you made sure tyre pressures are even from side to side? Failing that you seem to have covered pretty much everything.... Only silly suggestion I have is a duff diff! Maybe somethign is affective it's ability to distribute the power evenly the way it should.. Long shot but you've gone through everything else I coudl think of... Is the car just drifitng off to the left or do you feel the car pulling through the steering?

Wasn't quite that order... Took the spoiler off to try and fix a squeak I was getting from it over small bumps.. Made sense to clean the boot lid at the same time.. Results? Shiny boot lid but the squeak still exists... Grrrr! But it would make sense to take that spiler off as getting access is otherwise a pain in the butt..

Yep and spot the one that looks like a softie! *sigh* Impreza not looking agressive enough IMHO.. Now stick a white classic in there In saying that the skyline doesn't look that great from that angle compared to the Evo! Again take the old GT-R and Yeehaa! I'd be scared!

For anyone who missed it you can download it here: http://www.scouk.plus.com/snowmanrally08_stv.html Strangely there was no ad break in the middle... Oh and there are Subtitles for those "native" moments The end kinda explains why the drivers were flinging it around a bit more on the final stage Nice wee program.. Wonder if the rest of the events will have coverage like this...

Polished Bliss (naturally) Had it on back order for when it was released

The Megs Polisher get's my vote... Bought one as it first came out but only recently started using it due to the nicer weather.. The guys at Polished Bliss are definately reccomended! Good advise and great products & even better service if you get them to do the job for you!.. The machine is easy to use, so no harm done... Biggest tip is to take it easy, don't try taking the paint off or else you will! But these orbital polioshers like the Porter Cable are generally easy and safe to use if your being sensible! Not finsihed my car yet.. only done a coupel of panels so far.. Can't wait to get the sides and bonnet done! I know... any excuse to post shiny photos
-
WTF!! Grrr... Hopefully it recorded last night... Not seen it yet.... I'll try and stick it online somewhere later for folk to download it if they missed it..
-
Just spotted this on the TV guide... Dunno if it's right or not... Wonder if they have any litterbugs on camera
-
Kinda annoying this, but I have to agree with most of the other comments... Something isn't quite right about it... Not sure what.. The mock up you posted in another thread the other day seemed to look ok... Not sure what the difference is.. I have to agree with going for a properSWRT yellow instead of the dayglow!. I like the design! somehow those mock up's arent right somehow.. shame...
-
That's what' I've discovered with mine.. Find myself having to brake MUCH earlier these days. Nice results! Just like having a new more sporty/drivable car It's amazing how this can be done and still save fuel! But we shouldn't grumble... Certainly shot off like a cannon when I met you the other day Wish I could have torque figures like that P.s. That wagon really does look good in the flesh! The rear tinted windows really add to it's appeal!

Dare I confess I have the 2fast2furious soundtrack in my car stereo at the moment....
-
1st one... saw it at the cinema 2nd one.. Saw it on DVD 3rd one... Ain't seen it.. 4th one... Probably watch it somehow now it has an Impreza as a main role .. see what sort of a mess they make of it.. Great thing about US car films is that they are so used to automatics over there that they are facinated by a manual gear box... Just listen to how many upshifts the cars make in their movies!!! Spoils it for me..... Bout time the UK made a proper car movie! Ahh.. wait... they do... and then stick them on youtube, then the drivers get locked up the next day .. Oh well.. that's reality for you!

CooL! that should help sales! Not to sure about some of the parts being held on with sticky tape though
-
Yeah but subaru spent time and money developing that new WRC wing with the verticle fins in order to help high speed stability and not it's gone... Ok maybe with the new shape it's not needed as much but I would still liked to have seen then develop something new for the car rather than copy bits from peugeot. THe Impreza was good because subaru/prodrive did their own thing and tried not to copy anyone else... IMHO
-
Not sure about that one.... Looks like it's lifted off the 206! WHere's the verticle fins!!!
-
Whopps! assumes ECU tuning... trust me... I'd forgotten about Bit'z until recently... They run a couple of Scottish Rally Championshop cars (The Gravel Granny being one).. For that alone I'd trust them... Also Glenburgue seem to know every millimeter of the classics! Not had any dealings with the rest I've heard Wuz is a good guy if you can catch him! Wonder how he's getting on with his latest project....

Welcome along Justin! I think were's going to have to put a call into the local council soon to change the region name to Scoobyville! The more the merrier! Tuners.. as Cullenmin say's taking a drive down to perth is your best bet! There are a couple places in Aberdeen but Going that extra bit further you get the best! No offence to any of the Aberdeen tuners/garages, they have done good work on my car in the past... Just a lot of people on here head further south to get jobs done..
