  1. As Stephen says Billy, they wont fit, other than that your Calipers bolt straight on and your wheels will clear them. If you want to be 100% sure before buying them, you can bring your car down and put one of your wheels on mine to test it as I have STi8 Brembos on the front. What an improvement! If you sell your 4 pots with new discs and pads you might get around £250 - 300 for them as Classic owners like to upgrade from the standard two-pots.
  2. Welcome... Enjoy!
  3. First I have heard of removing an engine to fit a clutch, I'd be asking around before commiting to that mechanic.
  4. Nice one, would love one of those as a second car
  5. Yeah, they did mine. Engine out and split your looking at around £700 labour alone Mind you, I had some other bits and bobs fitted, but vast majority of the work was down to the engine. Keep us posted.
  6. Yeah that too. It does look great, but driving is a butt-clenching experience with one - can't be bothered with that.
  7. Jeez! That's a lot of modes of transporation - my fave was your wife's Beemer - luvley!
  8. Welcome along mate - nice clean example
  9. I bought mine from Scot Lowe for £160. Was on the car two weeks and I clipped it and broke it. Repaired the thing only to rattle off of a speed hump at about 5mph and it busted it again. I left it on until I found the time to sort it, however, I hit it several times after that and the thing was beyond repair. Ended up taking it off and binning it. So in my opinion, they are a waste of money - albeit the look really good. I have seen those ferries and would not have thought that my car would ever have made it off and on those without ripping it off.
  10. Yeah, as I said, sounded bad, sorry to hear it mate, hope you get it sorted out again soon.
  11. The thought that counts mate - credited to you as a good turn nevertheless
  12. OUCH!!!! All those welcome messages, longest on record and you go and break your engine - could you be any more thoughtless! Hope you get it sorted soon mate
  13. A thoroughly accurate statement and straight to the point.
  14. Billy TBH mate, unless you are going to be doing track work, I'd probably avoid COs. They are pretty harsh on the ride side of things, but of course the handling is good. That said. those springs that you have along with one or two other little bits like droplinks and an ALK with fast-road geometry settings, will improve the handling of the car out of sight from the standard set up. This will be more than adequate for road-use and even works well on the track. Don't worry about your struts... I know a guy that has a full set of them lying in his garage with about 20k on them - LOL! Perhaps the £300 would be better spent on that. Hypertech, IIRC do free fitting on the ALK and the Droppies - as they do with all Whiteline goodies. Just check that first of course.
  15. Well done coco!
  16. It wont fit! The prop shafts are a longer in the WRX and the box is shorter. I'd propbably need to change out the box, the diffs and the shafts - talking funny money there and I dunno what nick they'd be in. What happened to his car anyway?
  17. He got it sorted though, didnt he?
  18. Oh the silver car? I thought it was teh white car across the street!
  19. GusTheBus is your man to ask I guess, he had them on his Forrester. Dunno much they are worth, probably wouldn't bet much change out of £600 for them I'd reckon, maybe more. I got the Tein Superstreets and they were £650 (I think). What's the guy doing with his gear box?
  20. Don't you need some fancy gadget to tell you what the code is in the first place?
  21. Is that you without your hair band Dale? LOL!!! Oh I crack myself up!
  22. Pugeot 406.
  23. Well, I'm glad you're comfortable with it... let's say, if I drop my wallet around you, I'll be kicking it over to the wall before I bend over to pick it up
