It wont cost you anything to start looking elswhere too. No point in putting all your eggs into that one basket - spread your wings and see what is out there, you never know, you might find something better. There are plenty of Imprezas available, so don't rush it.

Sounds really bad - like internals have packed up! That said, if it sounds bad when starting it, it might be coilpacks or plugs, no? I'm not the best to ask, hopefully someone with more knowhow than me will be along. I tend to think the worst, because with me it usually is. LOL!!!

Fraser, the fast road setting do improve handling mainly be reducing understeer. That said though, these settings IMO are no more than a compliment to other installed handling mods, like stiffer suspension, droplinks ALK and ARBs (not that you need all of them). I actaully got the settings at the same time the car was lowered, so I can't really comment on the settings alone - but needless to say the change was quite dramatic! Ask Duncan at Hypertech when you are there and he'll keep you right. They are always happy to help.

No telling what it is mate. but if you want one and you can afford it - go get it, and don't deprive yourself one of life's pleasures. You'll regret it if you don't!

Gotta be black wheels of some sort, to give it that menacing dark look that gives people the impression that if they get too close the evil darkness will pull them into a deep chasm of despair ... for ever!!! Ok, Ok - got carried away there! Black wheels, but I'd avoid the RB320 wheels cause it will make people think your car is a wannabe RB320 - where as some nice tasty after-market black jobs for that dark intimidating look... man I'm getting all started again!!!!!
