  1. I have unleased it, it jsut keeps breaking bits! Show and shine NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! (No offence to those who like ot keep there Scoobs rather nice, I enjoy doing that too up to a point, but I'd much rather be "racing" it :P )
  2. Fitting the ALK is all about the front end of the car. Under heavy accelaration the front-end of the car naturally lifts and unloads. This means that the lighter front end will understeer when going into corners, the ALK minimises this. Also, the ALK will allow more camber on the front wheels as well, again giving more front grip, less understeer. If you have a tail-happy car at present, then adding an ALK might actually increase that.
  3. Tis indeed a Classic and a Classic owner comes up with better suggestions - damn those guy with their older "oh I can read my fault code" cars!
  4. Should think so, it is, after all a MY06! Oh yeah and Red, Shmed!
  5. TBH, I feel there is still a fair bit of body roll even with the mods I have. I will speak to Duncan on Wednesday hopefully and see what he can do for me.
  6. With the fastest colour of wheels - Would look better lowered as well, from this: To this!
  7. LOL! If I can get them supplied and fitted for about £250, then I probably will. Still need to prioritise graphics though... - speaking of which, the guy who I had lined up to do them is taking his time answering my queries. Might be time to start looking around again. GRRRR!
  8. Yeah, I see what you mean; if you change the suspension on all 4 corners at the same time to the same spec, the realtive balance of the car is the same. Therefore, uprating the ARBs should be done to the same spec as you would do it on standard suspension... is that what you are saying?
  9. I'm banned from the track
  10. Do you have these? Are they worth having? Much are they?
  11. Nice looking car, looks in great nick - hope you get to the bottom of your running issues.
  12. According to Geo (Cusco Kid). you should always start from the rear of a Scooby. I read all that stuff that Cal posted from the Website, and TBH the stuff about understeer doesn't affect me, I got rid of this a long time ago with the ALK and geometry settings. Judging by what it said in the article, and other links, it would seem that it would be more advisable to have the 24s on the rear and make do with the 22s on the front, but does this take into account coilovers, ALK and droplinks! Like Dale said, "So many questions". I am going to take a trip into Hypertech this week and have a talk to Duncan.
  13. Well at least you have been using high-octane stuff, 95 RON is a no-no! Did you try resetting hte ECU. Detach the battery for 15 mins then try that.
  14. LOL! Well at least since you know so much about one type of engine the learning curve for another shouldn't be quite so steep. I noticed you have a JDM import as per your other thread... what fuel have you been running in it since you got it? Cause I think I'm right in thinking that the JDM cars run a higher octance fuel than ours. If you're booting your car with the wrong fuel, that might not be a good idea!
  15. LOL! Check Engine Light - If your ECU detects a fault through one of the many sensors fitted in around the engine, the CEL light on the dashboard will light up. As for hoses; check the hoses in and around the intercooler and dump valve. Check for any split in the pipes or for any that have come loose. Most unlikely, but worth a look.
  16. It certainly does!
  17. Checked all the hoses and everything? And CELs?
  18. Hard to say for sure if the new alarm is the cause, I suppose it could be. Did the car start playing up immediatly after fitting? I would rcommend Hypertech but they are not local to you, they are located in Bonnybridge, on the way to Falkirk. Keep us posted as to what the problem is.
  19. Hi there and welcome along. Sounds like you got a great deal and the car of your dreams too, nice one. You need to be posting some pics of it so we can all see it! I know you said you are planning on keeping it as is, but that won't last long, trust me, I know! Oh yeah, Gold and Blue - of course, the best combination!
  20. Welcome Scott. Sounds like your turbo doesn't want to play, although, like you, I don't know much. Can you feel/hear the turbo kick in when its meant to? If you are booting it, you should feel it come online with a kick at around 3.2K in the revs. Also, are there any CELs? Have you done anything to the car that might have causes this, like using different fuel etc, etc? To reset the ECU, just disconnet the battery for 15 minutes, then reconnect.
  21. Cheers mate, I need to see how much these are befrore making a purchase
  22. Hmmm, alright I suppose
  23. Three words in reply... Not For Long!
  24. Rough idea much these are supplied and fitted front and rear on an MY06? And, do they make that much of a difference; are they a worhwhile mod? Already have Tein Superstreet COs, ALK and solid droplinks... Take it away folks....
