  1. Ah! Silly me
  2. Thanks! Yeah, strangely they do Do it!
  3. Thanks guys. Sent him an e-mail. No prices on his site.
  4. Looking to replace my front pads. Car is a WRX with Brembo calipers from an STi8. I want a set of pads that are useful for track use, reasonably priced and the best place to get them; I need them pretty quickly too. I know there is a number of manufacturers like Mintex, Ferrodo, EBC so what should I go for? If anyone wants to off-laod a 2nd hand set in exchange for money, I'm open to that too. Over to you...
  5. Yeah, agree with that. TG is all about making a caravan out of paper mache or seeing if a car can go around the world faster than someone in Bolivia can flick a snotter. Silly nonsense most of the time, but I do still like to hear what they have to say about cars when they actually feel like doing that. Saying that, I missed it tonight - DOH!
  6. I'd forgotten that you had bought another Scoob, ha! I'll see this close up soon Looks good
  7. Yeah, especially since that was probably my best run.
  8. Here are a few clips from the last track day; nothing special I'm afraid. I must have a white balance setting messed up on my camera or something. Anyway, if nothing else, have a laugh at my offs! Off 1 Off 2 Some dry laps (with Scoobyiain) . Sorry the run ended prematurely - damn fuel-cut!
  9. hahaha! or record one and watch the other - best of both worlds! That's the problem with you young guys that don't need sleep - you lack the capacity to think, and thus, the use of some reasonable logic coupled with current technolgies, is lost on you! Nice meetin you yesterday Rich
  10. Yeah, it's sitting in the garage feeling all sorry for itself. I need to order new pads, then I'll wheel it out and give it some TLC. Thanks again for the help
  11. Ha! So far so good. Dramas usaully happened a day or two after the event, so until then its lots of butt-clenching -
  12. Nice car mate and welcome to the SIDC, enjoy your stay
  13. Yeah, the first time I came off when I was on track myself could be put down to the wet, and pretty much the wrong tyres for the conditions. However, the last one, was just me getting a bit too cocky. Thankfully, I ended up on the black stuff and was able to pull away without getting the recovery truck out again. A new tailpipe will be forthcoming in the next week or so I need new pads now too, can hear them grinding away, car is a mess with all that gravel and crap in the wheels and brakes. Will get that all cleaned up this week. Looking forward to the pics. G.Mac: vids up soon mate
  14. Nice pics mate The more I see the blue and orange, the more I like it
  15. Thanks man! More than welcome mate, my pleasure. Shame you never go a shot when it dried out; could really attack the circuit instead instead of tip-toeing around the bends. Was good to meet you too.
  16. That's the point - ye cannie!
  17. Big thanks to Bruce's Taxi Evo driver at KH today. I had an embaressing off and got my undertray full of kitty litter and he kindly let me use his trailer to get under my car to clean it out and offered tools and anything I needed - top man! Also, thanks to Nananki for helping me with the clean up too, cheers mate.
  18. Welcome mate, was nice to meet you at last and glad the other half approves of the new-look . She's more than welcome to a few pax laps next time, glad you enjoyed it Nice pics Dougie, didn't see you!
  19. Still there - ha! Putting the car in the garage for a bit til I get new pads, then I'll whip the wheels off and give a clean up before replacing the pads - that's my next challenge!
  20. I did, but that was what lead to my second off - couple of spins; going across the track from one side in the gravel to the ohter side on the grass, then ended up stalled at 90 degrees across the track - silly!
  21. Haha! I went off in the 5th lap of the first run and hadto get pulled out of the kitty litter - what a riddy! Lost my tail pipe in the process
  22. I HATE the wet!
  23. Sake! Still working on your car at this time! You'll be shattered tomorrow!
  24. 1) best time to check oil levels is when the engine is cold and on a flat surface - of course. 2) I don't think there is a law that states you should carry a spare - two reasons: 1) new cars don't include them but instead put in a tin on that stuff you mentioned; 2) MOT does not require the spare to be legal, so if its bald its the same as not being there as it is legally useless.
  25. Ok, cheers
