  1. Listen you! I watched the video and it was nowhere near a 720. It was a 90 in one direction, then a 360 in the other direction (while changing sides of the track)! That would make it the JW450!!!
  2. Welcome along mate - enjoy your stay.
  3. Was driving along the road tonight and noticed that my Boost Gauge wasn't moving at all, I'm pretty sure it went up and down with the revs. Anyway, once I got to a quiet stretch of road I put the foot down and when I hit boost, the gauge came on line but only went to about 1.4 (usually 1.5). Soon as I came off-boost, the indicator again sat motionless at zero. When I turned the car off and then on again, the other two guages did their opening ceremony thing, but the boost guage was still stuck on Zero - any suggestions, or is it a case of replacing the gauge? thanks!
  4. Having listened to a few suggestions, I suitably applied them and the end result is as follows: Still undecided about doing the wheels in orange
  5. Quality!
  6. A weapon of mass destruction!
  7. Did that! Didn't do that!
  8. Meercat will make you one.
  9. What are you getting done?
  10. ha yeha. Once I get my battery replaced, I'll be able to take it out and give it a test and see how it is. I'll also keep an eye on that rubber seal which popped out of the channel.
  11. Yes it is! Thanks for the help and advice guys I'll be better prepared next time.
  12. Next is to get a new battery, which wont be until tomorrow now. After that it really needs a wash, its in such a state from the track, then I'll put the last of the stickers on and sunstrip! I don't mind having ago as it saves some dosh. Might take me longer to get there as I don't have the experience, correct tools or technical know how, but I'm a bright boy and can get there in the end!
  13. Too late, put it all backtogeher! I managed to get the pistons pushed all the way in and pushed the seal in with my fingers, hopefully it will be ok.
  14. Thanks mate, after Iposted up, I went back down and had another go and I got it. Whew! Nothing is ever straight forward with me except breaking things!
  15. Ok, was fitting new front pads to my Brembos, the first side was fine, no worries but I have hit a bit of a snag with the other. As you can see from the image, the top right-hand side piston has come all the way out and I can't get it back in again. The lower right-hand side one won't budge either. The pistons on the left-hand side are both all the way in flush with the caliper. What do I do to sort this? I don't want to force the piston back in in case I break something (already snapped a screwdriver!). So can I just give it yahooo till it goes in, or what? Thanks!
  16. Duncan saves the day! All round good guy
  17. Ah Yes! I remember now, was nice talking to you. I remember thinking after seeing you with your wee boy that he must be the coolest kid in the school since his dad owns and drives his own race car with the wee boy as his co-pilot! Mega!
  18. What were you driving?
  19. Thanks for that. I eventually ordered Performance Friction pads on the advice of Alyn from AS Performance. Thought they would have been here today, so hopefully tomorrow.
  20. Thanks man No idea what was in the 911. I was only out on track once at the same time as him while I was cooling down. It was a blur as he flew past in a hail of noise - awesome.
  21. With the new car, they probably should have killed-off the Impreza brand and gave it a new name, The fact of the matter is, they actually have killed-off the Impreza brand, but not in positive sense. The new car, while it has many refinements and advantages over older models, it simply is NOT an Impreza, even though the badge says "Impreza". If you are going to so something bold, the be bold about it, not half a$$ed. Taking out the Impreza altogether would have been bold for sure but too much of a risk for Subaru I suspect.
  22. Classic Shmasic! Good things come to those who wait!
  23. Just about to order a set right now: £135 for the fronts inc VAT and delivery. AS Performance.
  24. Brembo pads or Brembo calipers? I have never used Brembo pads (i'm not sure they do them). I bought the calipers 2nd hand and they had Red Stuff pads in (I think). As for the Brembo calipers - huge difference to the standard 4 pots! Highly recommended.
  25. Rich - Here is where I got the mount. Apparently used by Top Gear etc. And is used by a few people on here and was recommended by Cal. Does the job well. I have even had it mounted outside the car as well. If you're going to get a camera, avoid the hard drive ones because the vibration from driving causes them to cut out. Go for a tape one (older technology) or preferably a solid- state recorder (uses memory cards). I use the latter and it works pretty good. Hope that helps! J
