  1. Look forward to seeing it when I drop your battery off Billy
  2. How much is a set of Standard Brembo discs, or at least the ones that come with the STi cars that are fitted with Brembo calipers. I have a 2nd hand set that have seen several track days and they are still going strong - no complaints from me at all. I think when the time comes, I'll be looking to get a set of these. So if anyone knows how much they are, please let me know
  3. Anyway. somone could lend you a set of disks until you get those ones replaced?
  4. Yeah, I'm with you. Half tints do look like half done, however, two things: 1) So many people have them now that it is starting to look normal; 2) I think half tints look better on estate cars/wagons anyway. It jsut makes the car look more... I dunno what, but it just does, OK! Hope the picture helps. Oh, and have some new rims while you're at it
  5. Welcome! Your missus sound like mines - nevermind, who cares what they think Post up some pics of your car.
  6. Yeah. The camera uses an SD card but not the standard ones but a new fangled one called SDHC (high capacity). The later versions of the SD cards were more expensive and still are, but they are way more affordable now, especially from places like "7dayshop.com" A 4GB cars is about £15. I have a 8GB and a 4GB. The 8 GB is good for about 90 minutes of footage on the best setting. Plenty for a trackday. The Hague clamps are awesome. I had it attatched to the outside of my car going at 70mph and it didn't budge
  7. LOL - me! She wouldn't have a clue how to start a computer let alone access the Internet, find SIDC, log in as me and then post up! There is a better chance of single cells becoming penises! Hahaha!
  8. Doddle. Took me a while to settle on the right camera though because the hard drive ones would cut out with the vibration. Took me three attempts to settle on a digital camcorder that records directly onto flash memory. The clamp was a hit straight off. Next time you're at Knockers, I'll stick it in your car and you can record your laps, then I'll stick it on a DVD/YouTube for you. Of course, you could have borrowed it anytime but living a milliom miles away makes that a little bit tricky
  9. "HE" has spent 22k on brand new WRX - HE has spent 8k on mods and repairs since. HE has spent a fortune on trackdays and a small fortune on maintenance costs. HE spends £65 per week on fuel... Therefore I think HE wears the trousers after all... unfortunately, cash is not in unlimited supplies
  10. I love the look of the ScoUK Bugeye, but as I said before, I think it is crying out for some aftermarket rims just to finish it off perfectly:
  11. HEEEEE HAWWW!!! Cool pics and lots of really nice Scoobs, even the Classics! My favourite pic:
  12. PM'd the guy, he's based in Scotland so could be good. Of course the biggest barrier after working out all the logistics of this, is getting it passed she who must be obeyed
  13. That's cr4p! Wouldn't you be cheaper in the long run to claim the insurance? Two doors and a wing plus paint, is not going to be cheap.
  14. Steve. Coilovers are a bit OTT for normal driving and I'd avoid them unless you wanted to so some track work. Also, they are not cost effective; a set would be about £600 or so, before fitting. If you wanted the car lowered, then a cheaper option would be to fit lowering springs - these would still provide improved handling and are used with existing struts. The reason that your tyres are wearing in the inside like that, is down to the geometry settings (I think). When the Impreza comes out of the factory it is set up to understeer as this is easy for the driver to correct simply by lifting off. However, a favourite mod among drivers is to change this. In effect the tops of the wheels are tilted in so that more of the inside of the tyre is in contact with the road. This greatly improves the understeer and allows for faster cornering, however, the drawback is inner tread wear. It might be a suggestion to switch the rear wheels with the fronts. As for the struts, I have 4 standard ones here so you can have your pick of them. My car is an MY06 WRX so be sure to find out if they'd fit. Hope that helps
  15. Ed. Can't say I've noticed the revs going up and down, but I'll listen next time I'm out. The gauge seems to work intermittently though. I'll check the hoses and let you know how it goes
  16. Sorry to hear about your misfortune mate - that totally sucks, hope you get sorted out soon.
  17. Ok, I'll have a look even though I don't have the first clue what I'm looking for!!!!
  18. Well it's kinda starting working intermittently while I was reving in the driveway on its way into the garage - pfff who knows! I'm taking it to Meercat tomorrow afternoon to get my brokentail pipe replaced, so I'll have a look at it then during the extended run.
  19. Ok, but ONLY when someone suggests a replacement phrase that I like!
