Thanks for all the comments, both negative and positive. Some of the negative comments are too much though, I mean, how can you ruin a car with some stripes and words. It's a car, it's not like I have "I Love Satan" tatooed all over my face, so no need to take it too seriously. I won't be taking anything off, but might try and think of something to add to the JW340 bit and if I think of soemthing better than "Shake and Bake" then I'd replace it, but as Scot says, it goes with the stripes, tongue in cheek sort of. . My intention was to stir the pot a little bit and try to get away from conventional stuff like rally decals and Cusco decals - blue cars and gold wheels. I mean, they all look good but they are not disticntive, part of the reason I took the rally stickers off. But again, all comments much appreciated, thanks for taking the time.

Sounds like a fair price to me mate, but I don't really know. I'd have thought a cylinder head gasket would have cost more than half of that anyway.

Well, I got fed up trying to find a company who would put stickers on my car, so I decided to do it myself. Regardless of how you think it looks, It is definately different and eye-catching without being overkill. Please feel free to say what you think, I'm thick shinned Car looks better in the metal, the pictures are pretty crap; taken in low light. It's good to turn heads again and to have cars move over in the outside lane of the motorway again, ha! I got the vinyls from here. Enjoy And I painted my track wheels to finsih the look. If they look good, I will consider getting my good wheels powder-coated:)...

Oh dear, two threads where there is some anamosity and both the threads are about detailing! LOL!!!! Wait till everyone sees what I have done to my car, pictures to be posted in the next few days once I finish what I'm doing. If you think there are some negative comments here, wait till you see what I get! Going to eBay now for a flame suit!

I'm not into detailing either, but each to their own. Some people like to mod cars, some like to track them, some like the strip, others like polishing them, some like taking pictures of their own and everyone elses and some even like all those things. SIDC is a community where we swap ideas and stories and the like. If you see a detailing thread or any other that you don't fancy, jist dinna read it, that's what I do.

Yeah, I stopped using those guys a LONG time ago and I'm not that particualr about my paintwork but defo more particular than Stephen - but that wouldn't be hard!

Bit harsh Dunc, however, it does raise a good point in that perhaps we should have a dedicated forum for it like the "Was It You" forum. It could be called "Detailing" or something. Maybe doing that will start to fragment things too much, but in the same respect there is a lot of posts from many members showing off clean cars (which I like ) so it might be an option. Car is looking good BTW.
