  1. That doesn't seem right to me. If you change the width of the tyre the roling circumference remains unaltered. However, if you replace your wheels and buy bigger rims, e.g. 17s to 18s then you are changing the rolling circumference and that is when you require a lower profile. I went from 17/215/45 to 18/225/40. Even with the profile change it still threw out the speedo by about 3mph (I compared before and after with GPS); which isn't that much, and to be honest the change was more accurate.
  2. I wouldn't feel comfortable using different tyres front and rear of an AWD car. Different grip levels and performance are offered by different tyres therefore consistency would be compromised. I don't suppose it would matter if you are not pushing the car. But, like you, what do I know about cars and tyres!
  3. Please do!
  4. Yes, I'm loving it all over again! I think Crail is on the cards for the end of the month.
  5. I sent an e-mail to AndyF regarding my problem. It turns out that the car being low on fuel casued the ECU to pick it up as a misfire. It would appear that the ECU then retarded the ignition thus making the car run rough. Resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes did the trick! Thanks to all for your suggestions and help. Very much appreciated.
  6. Steady on old boy, steady on!
  7. I am sure that if you buy a sports cat, the pipe will incorporate the other bit you have. That is certainly the case with my downpipe and others that I know of. If you fit the sports cat, you will need to remap. I think you will find quite a difference. PM STi_Bandit as he has recently done a similar thing with his STi BlobEye. Be warned though, that a remap may require other mods to cope with the increased power; injectors and fuel pump most probably. Before acquiring the parts for the map, you will need to contact AndyF for more details, he will tel you exactly what you need for the power you have in mind. hope that helps! J
  8. Lucky you! PM me when you get back.
  9. Veeeery nice. I must say, I am a fan of spoilers and think a Scoob really ought to have one, but that looks realy cool without, nice one.
  10. Geo, do you only have the one set? If you are selling the other set too, let me know!
  11. Hi Colin, welcome to the forums. Removing the cat between the centre section and the downpipe will not bring on the CEL. You will not require a remap and some suggest you will have a little more power, around 10bhp and faster spool-up of the turbo.
  12. Wanna sell me a set!?
  13. Wow! Nice one Marty. Perhaps you could have this wee tutorial posted elsewhere on the forum as a guide for other users too.

  20. Thanks mate!
  21. Stephen, the low fuel light was on! But it wasn't of for long but I must admit that that thought crossed my mind! Ill fill upi, drive slow for a bit see what happens. In the meantime I have mailed AndyF for advice. Failing that I'll do the MAF thing if I can work that out!
  22. Thanks buddy, but I don't know where the MAF is to take it out!
  23. Yeah, shocker man. I'd do without!
