  1. glad you enjoyed the wee shot. I must admit it was a bit hairy at points as you rightly say it is a bit lively. I just don't see the point in putting on aftermarket springs when i know the struts will go and will then have to replace them to. I am saving for a set of coilovers which will solve this ;-) Am looking forward to a pax in your car when it is mapped. I will defo need a change of underpants for that lol Chris
  2. nice one jim. Glad the beast is going strong:-)
  3. That was a lucky find Jim. Glad that you found it before it did much damage.
  4. thanks for all the posts guys:-) Due to having chocolate shocks i think the next mod will be either struts and sporings or coilovers but need to save for that or hit a credit card if they fail outside of warranty. As Peter keeps telling me every time he has my car it is very lively and now with the added power i need to address this.
  5. The drive back was great. loving the sound of the cai even more. Thought i might get a bit more torque but am happy with the power instead. The second gear thrash is defo an experience lol.
  6. Thanks Jac. Now all i need to do is get someone to explain the graphs to me lol.
  7. check www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk if you are lucky sometimes people organise a group buy. The one that has just finished was 470 + vat. Chris
  8. the first run to get my figures i lifted off the throttle a wee bit as i was not used to the power so only got 353bhp 376 torque but on the second run i got 362bhp and 379 torque so andy just averaged them for my overall figure.
  9. Meercat sportcat exhaust system walboro 255 fuel pump forge recirculating oil catch tank updrated NGK spark plugs APS Cold air induction kit SFS afta maf silicon hose I have a hawkeye STI The mods are subtle but the gains are great.
  10. Well finally got round th getting the car mapped after a long hard save for various mods. Due to this being my daily driver i didn't go to overboard. I had a good chat to Andy and then it was off on the road for him to work his magic. He sorted out the rough idling due to fitting an APS CAI (which i may add sounds the dogs danglies;-) ). Car is now sitting around the 358 mark bhp wise and 377 torque wise. A big thanks to Andy and also to Peter who helped organise most of the fitting/supplying of most of my mods. The drive home was certainly entertaining and now to save for a bigger turbo lol
  11. If it wasn't for guys like yourself peter then how would we really know what extremes our cars can go to. I am personally can't wait to get a shot in the passenger seat;-) especially in your new gucci seats lol
  12. when is this bad boy going to be on the road peter????? I have my carbon fibre thong on order lol;-)

  15. Well am looking to save up for some sort of fault code reader that has some sort of other meters on it also kind of liek the psi3 data monitor which i believe is no longer in production. Can anyone recommend anything that doesn't break the bank and fits in the car also. cheers Chris
  16. hello and welcome to the forums. get some pics up pf your car ;-)
  17. Whilst on holiday in Italy last week Peter fitted a few mods to my car for me which will get it ready for the remap soon. He fitted a very nice Forge recirculating oil catch can, a walboro fuel pump and took it to get a set of uprated spark plugs:-) All that is left now is to fit an APS CAI which we will do the weekend before my mapping session and that is me. So thanks Peter for some sterling work.
  18. I dont put car on boost that often and drive it sensibly as i know it needs mapped. Will see if it ever comes on again and take it from there. I am in no way saying there is anything wrong with the exhaust i was just curious if anyone else had similar before mapping. Cheers chris
  19. It is an sti richie. Still to get it mapped which will be getting done next month:-) no other bits fitted as yet as they will get done nearer map time. I will put this down to gremlins in the system.
  20. Has anyone else with Meercat sportcat experienced this?
  21. Driving to work this morning the dreaded CEL light has come on. Is there anyone in the paisley area that has a fault code reader that could help me diagnose the problem? Cheers Chris
