  1. Yeah gentle acceleration
  2. During the first couple of miles after starting the car there is a hesitation when accelerating which goes away once car is warmed up. Could this be the spark plugs needing a clean or renewed or something else? Cheers Chris
  3. Well got these fitted today with the help of drb5 and went down the block fitting route. Also got a couple other bits fitted whilst he had the car. Car runs a lot better now.
  4. Yeah front and back but did this before fitting them and changing the pads why?
  5. After reading some recent posts I wondered what makes people decide to modify their scoobs and then at what point do they stop or are forced to stop? When I purchased my latest scoob I was set on getting new exhaust and getting it mapped as it is going to be used as a toy and not for every day use but now I am wondering do I just leave it as is power wise and when stuff breaks then upgrade it? will be fast enough for track use for me as is. I can appreciate though that for the novice modders who have remapped a car once that it really does show you how power should be delivered so this might drive decision to mod the next scoob they get. Or do we just want to modify just because most folk do?
  6. Gauges arrived today and got a bit of a result as it is an ati centre pod with carbon fibre insert which I didnt realise was pod being supplied. Now to get them fitted and see if everything is ok with car:-)
  7. Centre is resonated in blob and hawk eyes and then there is a cat between centre and downpipe then cat in downpipe. Removing cat between centre and downpipe will apparently still pass Mot whilst freeing up a very small increase in power but gives mire of that loved burble. Chris
  8. It's cool Russell. Terso Neil is doing this so I know it is in safe hands. good to see that there are still people around that will help out fellow members. Chris
  9. That sounds like a fantastic offer but won't be in the country that day unfortunately :-(
  10. Are you running a sandwich plate Graeme? I just don't want to try fitting in the block and end up damaging threads in block and need to strip out engine to fix.
  11. Nice looking car
  12. I know but it was something I thought about the other day and wondered how lambos etc can get big power but still stay mot legal
  13. But with a scoob and 100 CEL you are still no where near big power gains or am I wrong?
  14. Cheers Graeme. Am loving your car. Looking forward to hopefully seeing it out and about
  15. How do you squeeze more power out a sportscat? Going by andyf site a sportscat restricts big power gains. My question is then how do other car manufacturers squeeze so much power out their cars but they are still road legal or do lambos etc not have cats in the first place?
  16. Going down the sandwich plate route will the cables be long enough and what side is best to go through firewall and if possible can you show me a pic? Cheers
  17. Took advice from terzoNeil and we are going sandwich plate route due to age of car as i don't want to run risk of stripping threads when trying to remove bungs in block etc.
  18. Can anyone advise if the standard cables on the oil pressure and temperature sensors are long enough to fit using sandwich plate if I put controller unit in drivers footwell? Cheers Chris
  19. Is anyone running the shadow gauges that scoobyclinic supply?
  20. Looks nice. What was it getting done while it was away?
  21. Pads are brand new but will try reseating when I get a chance. Noise was there with previous pads in also
  22. Does anyone have any photos of them fitted I could see please?
  23. Ate they 52 or 60mm
  24. Scoobyclinic and scoobyworld have alternatives to defi but does anyone have them fitted and are they any good?
  25. New struts were fitted when I bought the car a couple of months ago. Pads are defo seated properly.
