badbaz Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 It's just about April. The first run of the year is almost here. Choices . . . Studded snow tyres or just 'full wets'? What is going on? There can't be enough de catted Scoobs around cause the global warming isn't warming enough!!! Snow today around Lesmahagow, not lying but well piled up on the cars. Was up the M80 this morning in Glasgow and around Stepps there is snow lying in the outside lane? The hardshoulder was about an inch deep and white not slushy We're all doomed. . . . .

Richie Cross Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I'm also thinking ahead to the meet and praying it'll clear. Haven't seen the forecast though. The planned route won't be the best with this weather if it keeps up!!
badbaz Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Showers clearing to clear skies 2 degrees - could be cool - anyone taking a sledge?

badbaz Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 M74 down to one lane at 830 from J8 south, it's not stopped here since about 6pm, if this keeps up it's gonna be fun tomorrow!
st3ph3n Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Saw plenty of it lying out Carstairs way from the train window. It's re-god-damn-diculous.
Midnight21 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I have another 6 inches of the stuff and no jeep!! Hopefully I can get the scooby out the drive in the morning
jamesm Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I have another 6 inches of the stuff and no jeep!! Hopefully I can get the scooby out the drive in the morning My Impreza is still at Hypertech, just got me Corolla at the moment so only two wheel drive for me. Really piling down in Ayrshire at the moment. Strangely though, was out earlier and it was clear and rainy less than a mile down the road!!
terzo neil Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 i left the house at 6am this morning, just back due to weather conditions, had round trip of 500 miles, via inverness, foyers, gorthleck, fort william, oban and finally home

rig-pig Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 FOOK i was ment to be off the rig at 9am still stuck on here
StrikE Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 Yeah well it's not fun any more, from a business point of view it is now costing me money. From a personally view it has now cost a family it's happiness Very sad news, gutted for the family. bus crash
st3ph3n Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Really sad news that. Have to wonder why the trip wasn't cancelled given the weather Few people here at work had 4+ hour journeys home last night as trains to fife from Edinburgh were suspended. I seem to have got the last train west on my route as the east coast line was shut later on, and still is I think. Had to get the scotrail service this morning - it was really strange because in Motherwell it was snowing but there was none lying, but by the time we were through Wishaw and onto Carluke it was near blizzard conditions. I think there was probably a good 6 inches lying in Carstairs station.
