RANGERS Football Club has tonight reached agreement with Valencia to sign 19 year old attacking midfielder Aaron Niguez Esclapez on a two year loan deal, with an option to purchase. Walter Smith has been a long time admirer of the Spanish under 20 Internationalist who has represented his country at every youth level. Indeed Aaron was voted Player of the Tournement at the 2007 Under 19 European Championships and is highly thought of in his homeland. The midfielder has played for Valencia's first team in the Champions League and he enjoyed a sucessful loan spell at Iraklis in the Greek League last season. Utd have got themselves a very good player for free. He will be a big, big loss to us this season. Everyone accepted Kev McDonald leaving because he's an exceptional talent, and was getting rave reviews all last season, but Robertson was our unsung hero really. Terrific engine, and grafts for 90mins. No disrespect meant, but I just hope he goes on to bigger and better things than Dundee Utd. Even if he is a Judas Ginger Tw@t!

I reckon Colin Cameron will turn out to be a vital signing for us this season. Would have been nice to get Snodgrass from Livi, but he seems to be holding out for a better deal elsewhere. Chris Innes is no loss - Obviously after the money, seeing as he stood us up twice. Glad to see Big Rab between the sticks, bit more vocal and dominating than Samson or Roy. Losing Kev MAcDonald was always going to happen, so glad we got a wee bit cash for him. Gutted to lose Judas Robertson to the Arabs though. Another central midfielder, and we'll have a good spine to the team. Douglas - Cameron-McHale/Other - Curier - McMenamin. Last friendly today versus Bradford City, so off to Dens to see that.
