  1. Thanks Brian - This was from S&S. Think they have 4 or 5 turning up. Yeah, seems a great deal, and they are quicker than I reckoned. I actually went down to test drive the WR1 they have, but came away with a GB270!
  2. They couldve used the money they spent on those fancy transporters on making the impreza better lookin!!
  3. Cos I drive dead slow Dave Does that mean A-Plan will insure me for £90??
  4. Didnt know that mate. Dont HBOS or RBS own Direct Line too?
  5. Thats a not bad deal mate. £424 is exactly what direct line quoted me, but they want a Tracker fitted. (Which I will do anyway)
  6. Just arranged Insurance for the New Car - Tried Direct Line, as they have been ace for the past 5 years - Quoted me £424... I thought excellent yet again! Then the dreaded question arrives "Does it have a tracker fitted sir?" Ermm...No it doesnt actually... "well we cant insure you"... BUGGER Luckily, took heed of many folks advice, and gave Keith Michaels a call. Very helpful (Most folk are when they are talking your cash) - £590, without a tracker. So quite impressed with that really. Decision time.
  7. Well I'm just back from Iraq, so I've got plenty time off mate. Dunno about mods mate - Need to keep the warranty sorted. Dunno, how good the 2.5 WRX lump for modding, bearing in mind its got the Prodrive pack on it already. Hows you anyway? Car going well?
  8. Saloon mate - The Wagon is a lovely looking motor too.
  9. Thanks Dave - As you well know, I've been tempted for ages, but just never got round to it until now! Whens the next meet - Should have the new beast on Friday P.S - The German Shopping Trolley Is still a good motor. (It aint no scoob tho
  10. Cheers Grant - Got it down at S&S - Hoor o' a drive today in the pishing rain, but well worth it in the end.
  11. I was the same mate - Managed to resist the temptation for a while, but got a good deal today on the GB270, which was hard to turn down. Wasnt actually going to look/drive one of them, had actually gone to test drive a WR1.
  12. Well after a few lonely years away from Scooby ownership, I should be back by the weekend!! Just signed paperwork on a new GB270 - Cant wait!! Anyone else got one? Al
  13. No worries mate. Yeah I'm possibly looking a rejoining the Subaru family! Seen a nice P1 for sale in Ayr, so am asking around the west coast lads to see if they know anything about it. Dont really know much about the P1 tbh, but always liked them. Tell your son to stick in there. The training will be tough, and real **** at times, but it only gets better from then on. Best of luck to him. Al
  14. Hi mate, your car looks a beauty. Very nice indeed. Dale (thefastone) managed to copy your link and hotmail it to me! If I didnt have to get rid of my Golf gti, then i would be up for paying you a visit, but as it stands, its looking like stealers are the best option at the mo. Like ye say, I dont get back for a while yet anyway - Good luck with the sale before then, she looks a cracking motor.
  15. Hi mate, I noticed His post earlier. Unfortunately these yank computers wont allow me onto pistonheads to view his advert (Even though they let me on here!) I've also got to get rid of my golf, hence why I was looking at stealers mainly.
  16. Guys n Girls, Being tempted back into the world of scoobs! Theres a P1 for sale in S+S Services in Ayr which has really whetted my appetite. Does anyone from the west coast know of this car? Is it someone on here's former steed? Registration is X802 RWS I know you just gotta look yourself and really be careful that your not buying a dog, but I'm in Iraq, wont be back till End of Jan, and dont want to drive all the way down from Elgin to view it, if its rough as.... Any help greatly appreciated. Al
  17. Guys, That is indeed my old car. I got an email from Dale about this whole thing, and i couldnt believe it to be honest. I bought the car from Eden Subaru about 2.5 years ago. I was the 2nd owner. It was absolutely minted, and it was my pride and joy. The guys in Dundee and Elgin who saw it, will vouch for this. I had the car for about 18 months-ish, and the only problems i had with the car were the usual STi rear shockers going. It certainly wasnt rolled or crashed thats for sure!! I traded it in at Barnetts VW in dundee for a mk5 Golf GTi, and I'm sure it stayed pretty local, as my mates saw it a few times in the Dundee/Fife area. I reckon one of the guys from Barnetts might have bought it, as they were literally queueing up to get in it when i traded it in. Dez, I hope you get this mess sorted out mate - Sounds like these characters from Glasgow are a right bunch of nobbers. I'm out in Iraq just now so my mobile dont work, but if you need any more info, PM me through this, or get my Hotmail add from Dale. Al
  18. Had a look at that on Autotrader. Looks good, apart from the awful F+F spoiler. Bet it shifts though.
  19. Craig, PM'd you. Probably looking for a Newage - Youngest car I can afford really. Although a very late, low miles Classic would be tempting. My only snag at the moment, would be getting rid of my Mk 5 Golf GTi - Finance etc. Al
  20. Thanks for all the replies guys. Will probably stop by for a look next time i'm heading past that way.
  21. Thanks Iain. Will probably stop by this place, as its not too far off the beaten track when I'm on my way to see the folks.
  22. Anyone else from the aberdeen area know of this place? Cheers Al
