  1. I would not despair too much, there are more options available than a £3000 Plus rebuild, especially considering the age of the car. Firstly, is your car is a 'WRX' RA and not an STI RA (Does it have DCCD for instance) as this will dictate if you need an UK/WRX spec bottonm end or the stronger STI spec one. There are always people uprating their bottome ends for forged/steel ones or even 2.5 upgrades out of choice, rather then neccesity. A quick ceck on SN, will find you a couple at least that you can buy and have someone fit for you. Alternatively Essex Scooby breakers will supply and fit a second hand engine complete, out of a car they have bougth accident damaged. Admittedly this may be a risk, but the last person I suggested this to spent less than £1200, including a TDO5 upgrade on his MY95 uk car. (Dont forget you can effectively get a cheap cambelt change/service too!) He has had no problems since. OK, so £3-4K will give you peice of mind for the next 4 years, but how long are you keeping the car, and will £1k mean you can STILL keep it for two years?
  2. Whats Budgie running now? He opnly had a PPP car at the last RR???
  3. OK, What size does it pack down into? Can we get it into the boot of a wagon or the back seat of a Impreza. We obviously have to get the gazebo to the events!
  4. I spoke to him today and he never told me. AND I gave his missus £20 Happy Birfdey matey!
  5. I have just replaced the standard one on my Turbo Forester. I cut and shut a P1 Impreza one to fit in the end. As I wanted a bit more noise. Its not the best looking and the outer skin is coming away, but it has no leaks. I do not know if it fits a non-Turbo car, but Hayward and Scott should be able to tell you. If not advise if they have a standard one in their skip. £25 if you want it. HOL

  8. If it's metal you can reweld the seam flat, or put a patch over it. Admittedly, it will always 'look' like it has been welded, but if you are not going for swow and shine, it will still sound the same. You have to get it off first though! Can you take a picture and put it up here? For us to see?
  9. I started mine at that age, they started Karate at the same time. http://www.mnyl.org.uk/ This is the league my 10 year old (10 this week!! ) and my 6 year old play in. Its Six a side (two teams) until they are 11yrs, then both tems merge into an 11 a side with reserve goalie. There's a Sheerness East youth team, in the same league. That why I wondered.
  10. Its gotta be cheaper to get it rewelded? Is is the joints or the seams on the actual box?
  11. www.MNYL.org ????? Which team?
  12. Are you sorted? I have two partworn 225/40/18 F1's you can use, or you can borrow my original 03 STI Alloys to get around on. I only kept the F1's in case I ever get a puncture, but to be honest, I would probably stick a 17in on and get a replacement anyway.
  13. I have seen an RB320 in Lewisham parked near a school a few times recently (wont say where, in case its someones home). Its probably been parking there a while, I just havent been that observant.
  14. 1. Spikey 2. Dunks 3. Granby 4. Gizmo/Mrs Gizmo2B 5. Pele 6. Rodregos/ Miss Rod 7. HOL (& Poss. Lady HOL)
  15. I know its a highjack, but how much to do a bearing on a newage? Mine are noisy.
  16. It sounds like it was all very ameenable and constructive. Im sorry I could could not be there, but I had Dad things to do. . . . . . . If its any consolation both my son's team's won their Medway News Youth League Cup matches. and both are top in their league games.
  17. Thanks Marky, But i have a complete standard P system to cut & shut about a bit.
  18. Im running upto 1.5 bar on th standard DV, with no problems. Its been like that for 2 years.
  19. Can you stick an open ended 19mm spanner over it and see if it rattles, fits snugly, or is too small.. (18mm, 19mm & 20mm respectively)? If its 19mm, or above, I may still have it off you.
  20. Stick some half inch tap washes underneath the nuts, like a normal washer on the inside of the spoiler. Its a 5 minute fix as they will compress and seal the hole..
  21. Thats the date sorted. Now we just need a venue. Anyone know any good (Chinese or other non-indian) restaurants, with a big car park? [Personally I like Thai Food). Otherwise, its TGI Fridays for us!
  22. It seems to me, that there should be two main items to the agenda. SIDC RO for Kent - Nominations and Vote. Kent Scoobies event Organisation - what needs to happen to promote more events? I need to get out more !!!
  23. If anyone has a 20mm rear Classic ARB, id like to buy it from them!
