You could also have a sensor out and the car is burning more petrol. But it seem too excessive for that. If you do not find a leak, try a fault code check.

Thats fine, Your car is actually a rare car, with the lower WRX specification. Its a non STI, which means that you can fit any WRX or STI (effectively an upgrade) Phase 1 engine of the same type.. Should be loads of these around.
