  1. << Hi Vicky we had a RAC tracker fitted to our old scoob (03 WRX) we had a nightmare of a time with them, we thought we where doing good going with a reputable company. They took the money fine and fitted the tracker at our house within 2 days of it getting delivered but it took them 2 long months of phone calls to send us the correct tracker certificate (the insurance comp wouldn't cover us for theft until they had this certificate and they kept sending us someone else's certificates!). They also then decided to set up the Direct Debit incorrectly too. Going by our experience I wouldn't recommend them or use them again (for a tracker anyway - i am with them for roadside cover ) but everyone has a different experience is suppose! good luck! >> Jody/Ally - drop me a PM with who you used to fit this to your car - cheers
  2. Spotted a very smart WR Blue bugeye wagon in Homebase car park this afternoon. Even had the same KEI Racing alloys as i've got!! It had a private plate on it, with 3 number 1's on it. Also, a noisy silver classic (think it was an 'L' plate) in McDonalds Livi. Sounded like a straight thru exhaust Also spotted Irish Al (with his near-side back tail-light out) - car was sounding sweet as you powered away from Asda mate
  3. Just finished TOCA race driver 2 on my PSP (my thumbs are loupin) - anyone want to purchase this off me now, for maybe 15 quid? Perfect condition & a great game once you get into it.
  4. Yup - thats better. I can't believe how close the spectators are to the road at some bits.

  7. As above..... I have got a set of 18" KEI Racing wheels on the car - most of you will have seen these. I have also got a set of 17" Gold STI alloys (fitted with Bridgestone RE070's) which i bought off ebay in the summer, with the intention of putting them on the car when the winter arrived. This would be to make sure the salt didn't damage the finish on the 18" KEI wheels. So far I havent bothered to change them over, and there have been gritters out for at least a month now. So - my question is - should i change the wheels over (until end of March, maybe) ? or will the finish on the silver KEI wheels stay ok with the salt on the roads? The gold STI wheels & tyres cost me just a shade over £400, so if the common opinion is that my 18's will be fine i'll sell the Gold STI ones (possibly to JC Scoob, if he's still interested). All opinions appreciated. Cheers Andy

  10. I noticed this too. Rather amusing signature you have there Grant. Very good.
  11. Vicki - i got a quote from Lorna @ S&S for this about 6 weeks ago. For the monitor one it's £470 fully fitted, then £109 per year subscription. For the retrieve it's £300 fully fitted, same £109 per year subs.
  12. I had this about a year ago, and contrary to others experience I got good service from BT - they had an engineer out within 7 days, who traced the fault to a nearby cable. He was able to swap my line over onto another cable and it's been fine ever since. Same symptoms as described - crackly voice line, plus internet connection dropping out. Very frustrating. Try here - might be of assitance, might not. Best of luck with getting it sorted.
  13. Did S&S not give you a quote Vicki?

  15. I remember me and a few mates went up to this back in about 1995/1996. Absolutely great laugh, and we happened to be standing at a corner on a stage when an escort cossy went into the ditch. We all went to try to push it back out, but it wasn't for moving due to the angle it was at, so we started gathering rocks, branches etc to put under the car - i found a big boulder and ran back over to the car & threw it in the ditch - unfortunately I missed and managed to pan-in the nearside front headlight! Eventually got the cossy away, and the only damage to it was the smashed headlight. I can still remember the co-driver shouting and swearing at me from inside the car.

  19. I'm going to have to think about this too shortly, as my car is 33 months old in Jan. Can you take out a one-year deal, and if so any ideas how much?
  20. Happy birthday Andy
  21. I got Subaru cufflinks, and a 1/24th scale red Impreza WRX model - wife could only find a bug-eye version though
  22. Dunno about that, but they should both have had penalties awarded for hand-ball!! That Wigan v Man City game looked a cracker. Going to bed now as quite quite drunk.
  23. Welcome to the forum Pete
  24. That must a nightmare at any time of the year, but especially so at this time since everybody is probably skint, garages are shut + you only had it a few days! Hope you get it sorted soon, and have many many miles of trouble-free ownership afterwards.
  25. Still having problems with the gearbox bud?
