About briforbes

  1. Thanks John, still missing unfortunately - although the car was spotted in a nearby forest on the night it was taken. I imagine it will be out of the area by now, but it's alway worth keeping an eye out just in case. Cheers, Brian.
  2. Thanks everyone. Not sure how much use the car will be to me if it turns up, as I imagine it'll be in a state and will undoubtedly have had the a*** kicked out of it, but fingers crossed something turns up. Makes me so angry that I put so much work into preparing the car, for someone to come along and think it's ok to take it for free. Calmed down about it now, but still very disappointed.
  3. I've had a silver WRX stolen from my premises in Cardrona, just outside Peebles in the Scottish Borders. The car was completely standard, even down to the original wheels and exhaust, and had the registration number N898 ALS. Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers, Brian Initial B Ltd.
  4. Further to my post in the wanted section looking for a driver's side wing in silver for my impreza - do any of you know of any good breaker's yards that perhaps specialise in Imprezas or have lots of them?
  5. Thanks for the info guys, it's much appreciated.......unfortunately the girlfriend has decided in her infinite wisdom that we should split up, so not feeling too "Festivaly" at the moment. No sympathy required, I'm big enough and ugly enough to take these things on the chin.
  6. I'm supposed to be taking the little lady to see something at the festival on Wednesday evening, but despite coming from Edinburgh, I haven't got a clue what to see. Was thinking a comedy would be good, and a venue that's not absolutely baking hot - any suggestions? Cheers, Brian.
  7. I've already bought them.....hence I was asking if they will fit. If not they'll be going up for sale.
  8. Hi folks, I was wondering if any of you know if a set of mudflaps for a newage car will fit my classic saloon. They're the daft expensive genuine STI ones, so I'd ideally like to hang on to them but don't want to damage them trying to make them fit if it's simply not going to happen. Thanks
  9. I'm up for it as long as we end up at Fingers!? (That's not a strip club, for those not in the know!) Brian
  10. I'm over by Livingston this weekend mate - could catch up with you at the bridge? Which model have you got - as I'm bound to have noticed you at some point if you're in Pennicuik? Bri
  11. I'm in two minds about heading up for this or not. What time roughly will you be heading up mate? Cheers, Brian.
  12. Got octane plus from the place in Bathgate - bit steep at £3.99 a bottle though! Most of the stuff in Halfords isn't "real" octane booster - just tarted up crap for the Maccy D's crew. The NF stuff is supposed to be excellent though, didn't know they were stocking it. It is more expensive but I believe it goes a long way and works out cheaper in the long run than millers. Would look like a bit of a loser measuring it out at the pumps though :-). Cheers, Brian.
