  1. Ginge..... I've got the prodrive springs on my 03-plate WRX. Got them fitted at S&S in Ayr, think they cost £390 fitted. Brought the whole car down approx 20-25mm (not nearly as low as the tein's) but still looks smart. Gives the car a slight nose-down attitude, which i like.
  2. Fair enough Brian Always difficult to read a tone into written words. My mistake - apologies.
  3. Brian - to answer an earlier point, yes the STI wheels are gold. Also, the old WRX wheels were NOT "foolishly" sold without thought to the future. Why would I have then bought the STI wheels off eBay back in April? Not for track days as I always knew my car would never see track use whilst under my ownership. As i found out with my last car (which had chrome wheels) getting a set of winter wheels during the winter season is difficult as a lot of people have the same idea. Hence why i bought them well in advance (i didnt like the anthracite WRX wheels, hence why i didnt keep them for the winter). The only issue is the tyres. If the KEI wheels are kept clean (washed regularly) then i can't see the salt attacking the paint. It is worth mentioning that this is my first winter with any kind of performance vehicle as therefore was not "up to speed" on tyre issues. Perhaps I have read your post wrongly Brian but I found it rather confrontational - if i have read this wrong then i apologise.
  4. LOL - we aint all on school-teachers salaries you know! I'm only considering keeping the 18's on because everyone says the Bridgestone RE070's on the STI wheels i have are crap in the winter. And i cant afford to put other tyres onto the STI wheels, so there is no way I would be able to afford a whole other set of KEI wheels!! I've already got a spare KEI wheel anyway, after kerbing one back in May. Got Coatek (or whatever they are called) up in Dundee to sort it for me.
  5. Ah! Fair enough. My mistake! Dungeon Master? Eh? Have you been smoking some illegal substances again No, i haven't yet. Probably going to keep the 18's on the car & wash them regularly, and sell the 17" STI wheels, but not totally decided yet.
  6. Brian - i've got STI wheels already, as mentioned in my original post
  7. New car on it's way swiggi or mod the current one to the max? You get that scoop sold Scott?
  8. u leaving your force 10's on over the winter? I only ask coz i recently put up a thread about swapping wheels over to prevent salt damage.
  9. Irish Al & me discussed your alloys (you have the same wheels as me) but he reckoned they were 19's ? It's 18's i've got on my motor.
  10. Spooks had a meet @ the ten-pin bowling in December - i personally thought it was great and was a change from going to a restraunt & sitting about having a blether. Not that there's anything wrong with doing that!! So how about a ten-pin bowling night in Glasgow, just for a change to see how it goes?
  11. Hullo terminator. I spotted you yesterday @ Homebase - you were walking in as I was walking out. We were in the Mrs' blue Pug 206. Nice motor you got there.
  12. I think that's the same wagon Irish Al & me spotted in Homebase carpark, Livingston the other day. Did it have KEI Racing silver alloys on it?
  13. I wouldnt be counting on those wee bits of armco if a truck started heading towards it!! Good video though. Water-cooled brakes?
  14. Might be wrong, but i assumed 'justanotherperson' said he'd got his info from a dealer. I've re-read his post and i admit it isn't clear cut, but that's what i read into his reply
  15. jc scoob - I touch goats
  16. No chance of 19's, or any other alloys other than the 2 sets i currently own, going on the car in 2006. Not unless there is a fair amount of cash coming my way that I'm not expecting. Coz i'm skint.
  17. Well just my 2p worth - thanks go to Scott for trying to organise this, and i'm genuinely sorry to see that it probably isnt going to happen as I was really looking forward to it. Perhaps we can have it later on in the year - if any assistance is required in organising it i'd be happy to lend a hand
  18. Cheers for the advice - one wheel has indeed sustained damage, looks like a stone has skelped it right in the middle of a spoke. Lifted the paint right of it
  19. And I had the cheek to say to you that your car was needin a wash too!! They did indeed look like 19's. I've never seen that wagon about WL before.
  20. If this still goes ahead (hope it does!) then i'd like to add my name to the list of spectators. Or 'touchers'.
  21. << do you want to swap for NFSMW ?? >> Is this a good game? If so, aye i'll have a swap with you
  22. << Hi Vicky we had a RAC tracker fitted to our old scoob (03 WRX) we had a nightmare of a time with them, we thought we where doing good going with a reputable company. They took the money fine and fitted the tracker at our house within 2 days of it getting delivered but it took them 2 long months of phone calls to send us the correct tracker certificate (the insurance comp wouldn't cover us for theft until they had this certificate and they kept sending us someone else's certificates!). They also then decided to set up the Direct Debit incorrectly too. Going by our experience I wouldn't recommend them or use them again (for a tracker anyway - i am with them for roadside cover ) but everyone has a different experience is suppose! good luck! >> Jody/Ally - drop me a PM with who you used to fit this to your car - cheers
