  1. Just wondering if anyone has any of the following for sale. Will part with my hard earned cash for them. They will need to fit on my 2003 WRX. Up-pipe Rear droplinks Lowering springs Knocklink Braided Hoses Am also looking for new pads and discs. Can someone tell me if these are the right size - 295 m/m front & 270 m/m at rear. There is a new set on Ebay from a y reg bugeye subaru impreza wrx 2001. Not sure if they will fit http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Scott, any chance of my prezzie Gumball, any chance of those spark plugs Imy, Hope to see you there with the jackets
  3. I fitted the £45 ones from ebay on my car. They didnt make the £60 ones at that time as they are new out. The £45 ones were a bit of a pain to fit so would recommend the ones with the brackets. I like them better than the original (any way more expensive) ones cause you can make them sit a little bit lower on the car, they also sit further up inside the arch. See Subaru 006 below
  4. Does anyone know what length of roll is required to wrap a downpipe based on a 50mm wide roll. Also how many clips/ties are needed and roughly how far apart should they be put ?
  5. Where abouts in kincardine, kincardine side or glasgow side of the bridge.
  6. Heading up too with the other half. Should be good. tyresqueal, it was nice to met both of you last sun, sorry didnt see you atthe end, you still aing got your pm switched on !!!
  7. Super, smashing, great. Ohhhhhhh a piece of tablet sounds good.
  8. Andy, you need to explain to the pre programed monkey at the other end of the phone that you havent fitted a dumpvalve. Explain that subaru cars have a dumpvalve as standard. Yours broke and you fitted a different type and that it does not change the cars performance. I am having the same problem with dump valves and strut bars. One company had to put strut bar through as suspension modification. When i asked why something that made the car handle better put my insurance up they told me that I could go round corners faster, hence the increase. same as fitting bigger brakes !!!!!
  9. Checked with my insurance company, the local cop shop and a well known window tint firm about tinting my windows. From what i can understand it looks like the insurance company will insure the car up to 30% tint on front sides, nothing on the front windscreen and whatever you fancy on the rear.. Remembering that all factory windows already have an existing % of tint an additional 30% tint will take it over the insurance limit. What the insurance company didnt tell me is thats now against the law to have any type of film, be it clear or otherwise, applied to the front side windows. Even though they say your insured you arnt really beasuce the car is illegal with the film applied, therefore the cars tax disk becomes invalid, therefore the insurance becomes invalid. Have i got this right or can anyone shed any more light on the matter.
  10. Just got £683 from elephant and £603 from Bell Insurance. They have a place to declare mods. It appears if it aint in the list they aint bothered. Try www.moneysupermarket.com
  11. Wanted a scoob for ages and now that ive got one theres no way the price of petrol would make me sell it. The cost of another car including insurance, tax, mot, and probably breakdowns would be far more than the extra cost of petrol for the subaru. I even have the option to take my gf car to work to keep the miles down but after one day its back to the old faithfull subaru for the rest of the week. Ive done arround 10,000 miles since I got the car and that was only three months ago. I dont even bother to look at the price anymore. Am actually scared to sign on to my optimax statement thingy to see how much ive spent. Out of interest how much in general to fill a tank and roughly how many miles are people getting. Costs me arround £50 if empty and get approx 250-300 miles
