  1. Gus, does your 555 have a cat in the up pipe? I thought all the classics had decatted uppipes and that the cats were in the DP and the centre section.
  2. Good pics Col. Will check back later as I want to see if you got any of the red Megablade
  3. Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves. Looks like I missed a great weekend, but I was unfortunately away "up north" all weekend and by the time I got back it was too late to join in the fun. I think it speaks volumes about the club in Scotland when we get such a great review from our foreign visitors. So well done to everyone that made you guys feel very welcome, and here's to many more Subaru Cultural exchanges!
  4. Cheers Ally. Will see how Saturday evening treats me before deciding what I'm doing.
  5. Ed, you're one crazy guy.
  6. Happy slightly belated birthday April. Oh to be 21 again. No wait, I was driving a vectra and not earning anything like I am now!
  7. Ally, hot marques is on at knockers on Sunday as well. I might be stopping in on my way home. I've got your number though to check in and see where you guys are on Sunday and see if I can catch up with yous.
  8. "As far as I know". I have a dual map on my 05 WRX. One is set to boost to 0.5bar and the other to 1.4ish. Don't think you can keep the PPP map and then add another on though because the ECUTEK map is a complete reflash of the ECU. Unless that's what prodrive use?
  9. Saturday : 1.Ally-b 2.Karps 3.G.Mac 4. TheWelsho (possible) 5.Bryhp Sunday : 1. 2.karps 3.Bryhp 4.Fai17 5.Imy 6. st3ph3n - but only afternoon/evening probably, depends on time.
  10. Not to take the topic too far off topic - but the back thing is pretty common. If you fill in a form on a website and then move to the next stage then often a lot of processing has gone into verifying and storing the data you've just submitted. When you press back and then try and resubmit it then there are all sorts of factors to consider when re-processing the data. Particularly in the case of these government forms your security and that of the site. Also the data may be time sensitive, and things may have changed from the form being created the first time round and how it should have been created if you were trying again. Multi-part forms should provide navigation so you can move back and forward between the parts of the form to make changes as nescessary. If they don't then you're more then right to claim they're useless. Otherwise - I'm not having it. Stephen the public sector web form man.
  11. Welcome back Inspector. The place hasn't been the same without you. I'm wasting away to nothing here, but can't make it down the KT this weekend for a refill []
  12. Craig, sad to see Thunder leave such capable hands. But project classic should be a weapon if the plans are good.
  13. Col, get those sspyshots sold mate. They'll be worth a few notes.
  14. Not going, but check this out guys - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/edinbu...ast/6549729.stm The FRB might be really busy so worth going up the other way?
  15. Friday 20th day . 1.ally-b 2. Friday 20th evening . 1.ally-b 2. imy 3. Chris_k 4. st3ph3n - possibly Sunday 22nd day, 1. imy 2. Chris_k 3. st3ph3n - again possibly Sunday 22nd evening, 1. imy 2. Chris_k 3. st3ph3n - more of a definite Sorry I can't be more certain, but stag weekend as I mentioned and the plans aren't full sorted yet.
  16. Chris, welcome to the forums. Paisley seems to be the mecca for Imprezas in the west of Scotland. You'll find on Saturday nights there's a few of us down at the Kwang Tung chinese restaurant on George street as the owner of said eatery is in the club. Although not this Saturday as he's shut the place to have a Holiday. As far as tuning goes - there's plenty of warranty unfriendly things. A full decat and a remap on an 06 STI will see some damn good results. Easy enough to put back to standard should things go wrong.
  17. What model of car? There's a great guide on scoobynet ICE section.
  18. Did they both go down ... no wait, family friendly site.
  19. Did they both go down a runway backwards at 130+mph Did Glen's plane have a flat 4 boxer engine?
  20. Go APs, or go home. Simple as.
  21. It's a week on Friday too. If it's the Friday evening (run followed by a visit to the KT perhaps?) then I'm in probably. Sunday - maybe as I'm staying in Blairgowrie on the Saturday night after a stag do, then driving home on the Sunday at some point, so would be time dependent. You know how I love them roads!
  22. Will depend on what STI Ecu that's been swapped in. The later STIs had variable valve timing on them, so if it was one of them then I'd be surprised if the car would even run! Is he absolutely sure that's what's been done and it's not a PPP ecu that's been swapped in?
  23. http://forums.sidc.co.uk/forums/thread/761628.aspx Good guide on picture posting there. Quite like the ultralite range of wheels. Looking forward to the pics
  24. I don't like the standard rear wing any more than the STI rear wing. A nice stealthy de-winged boot, or the tiny a-line lip, or the more street racer/gt car look are my own choices. Or the proper WRC replica wing if you want the rally slag look.
  25. Basically Neil your spark plugs need electricty to spark yes? But 12v from the battery wont do it. So the coil pack takes the voltage from the battery and steps it up using an induction coil to create thousands of volts from the 12v so that the spark plug has the juice to actually spark.
