  1. The woman at Shell Cumbernauld thought I needed the drivers club card, but I thought the V-Power club (which I've had a card for ages now) was still ok?
  2. Is Jim going to have someone in the jump seat on the fire extinguisher for his runs then or is it going to be a quick skoosh before the lights? Looks awesome no matter what!
  3. Sounds like fuel pump to me too. The Walbro I have fitted is noisier than the standard. A mate of mine commented about it as he heard it going when I'd turned the ignition but hadn't started the car.
  4. Showing your age there Billy! Looks like I missed a great day on some of my favourite roads, but I was needing to save my pennies for crappy things like car insurance. Well done to the ever resourceful organisers.
  5. Are you talking about the things that cover the indicators on the front? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-S...1QQcmdZViewItem There's some carbon ones.
  6. I'm not going to be able to make Sunday either I'm afraid. Saving my pennies this month for more important things.
  7. I work with the beemer owner, and we refer to it as a hairdressers car in the office. The curling tongs joke etc. are all from that. I'm sure he'll point out though that it is the 3 litre one.
  8. Gogsie - "pure dead brilliant" is what we would say. I must adit that when I saw it last year I was very taken with it, so hopefully you'll get one as I'd fancy a pax lap round Knockhill in it []
  9. James, I'm not sure how well your particular brand of democracy would have gone down mate []
  10. Cheers John! Picture is great. Anyone got anymore of the Westfield that coughed up its exhuast too?
  11. Guys, my mate Paul wanted me to post up to say that Meercat are fixing his exhuast after it failed on Saturday. He took it down yesterday and they were very surprised it had come apart so spectacularly and most apologetic about the whole thing. If their work stands up to big power skylines than the wee one litre hair dryer in the 'blade shouldn't have been a problem. [] So anyway it's all getting fixed and Paul is happy, so no harm done in the end. [y]
  12. Is it really anything now Higgy? Sure it's an EJ20 block, but what else is standard? Not fancy reversing the manifold whilst you're at it too?
  13. My car always photos Shiny, even if it was filthy! Polished up the exhuast a bit yesterday but the rest of the car needs a good wash and wax though. Cheers for the pictures John, that one is a cracker and is now my new desktop wallpaper []
  14. John, that was indeed the new missus with me. I tried to introduce her to people, but there was so many there, and I had some work colleagues up too seeing as there was three of us from the office on track. It's hard enough for me to remember who half the people are anyway never mind introducing them to someone!. She had a great time though, so she'll be back for the next one.
  15. Nice one Gogsie. Perfect car for the weather in Aberdeen too mate [] Any idea when you might get it?
  16. I was doing something. The cannonball helmet and the shades are a good look. []
  17. Steve, the toaster was mighty impressive. More importantly it goes VERY well indeed. The flames are obviously a bonus. John, any spins on Saturday? Was watching your lines a few times, they're good, but you upset the balance of the car on the right kink before the chicane and at the chicane itself by braking. Just lift it works fine []
  18. Steve, I fitted the Zerosports coolthermo and noticed a healthy drop in oil and water temps. Might be worth it if you don't already have one.
  19. Fire them on anyway mate. Can't be worse than me with my mouth open. I was concentrating apparently. I wish my bloody video camera had worked as I'd have caught Steve spitting a HUGE flame the whole way from the braking point until he got back on the power mid-corner at duffus. Also one of the bruce taxis evos going straight on after getting the chicane very wrong indeed.
  20. Great pictures. Only one of me though! No one got any more?
  21. What a day. Somedays I forget why I have my car when I trudge to and from the train station, then I go to Knockhill and suddenly it's all bloody clear. The Ginger 290 was running fantastic. I was getting passed by the big boys, but through the corners she's so damn neutral. The petrolheads I took out both commented about how nicely balanced the car was, and with the new found power it fair rockets down the straights against most cars. Took me a few sessions to get up to speed as I was running more power and an untried brake setup, but once I was running I was grinning like a nutter. Nicola enjoyed it loads too. Thanks to Peter for taking her out for a few laps. I know my mate Paul in the red westfield megablade had a gread day except for the exhuast coming apart. He'll definitely be back for the next one. My mate Mike in the Z4 also had a good day for his first time out. The Beemer goes alright for a hairdressers car. My only personal downside was my video equipment failing again. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
  22. Thanks for the help chaps. Got the filter and washer in eaglesham and got some oil from Autokits. All done, so ready for tomorrow.
  23. Nothing wrong with them per se, I just found their labour rate on a recent visit to be somewhat painful. A specialist would have done it for under half the cost. My own fault for putting it in to a dealer and not someone I'd usually use and trust.
  24. I'd rather gnaw my own testicles than give Halleys any more money. Might take a jaunt through the tunnel though []
