  1. Is the car a new age? I'm quite comfortable helping out with the electronics and interior side of things, and fitting the boost sensor too, but the oil temp and pressure I'm less so!
  2. Cheers guys. Peter, i'll be in touch mate.
  3. Does it take a bit of time for a new clutch and lightened flywheel to get settled in? I'm finding sometimes, particularly when I grab third on a low revs up shift from second, that it feels a bit "interesting" or "notchy" going in. I'd swear that if I leave my foot on the throttle just a fraction then everything slots in much nicer. Twice now when trying to move from reverse back to first the stick seemed to get stuck in neutral and I've had to let the clutch back out and in again to get it freed up. I thought it had gone after noticing it when I got the car back 2 weeks ago, but I've noticed it again yesterday and today. Last thing I need is a gearbox going tits up, but it was perfectly fine before the new clutch went on. Oh and I felt this before the remap too, so doubt it's a power issue. Have only done about 400-500 miles with the new clutch and lightened flywheel also.
  4. Did JC ever put his on the rollers? It does the 1/4 in stupid fast times and I'm sure it's a standard UK block, admittedly with plenty of supporting tweaks!
  5. You must have seen this before Bandit? A man of your internet wanderings. Film directory Claude Lelouch driving his Merc 450SEL round Paris at good speeds. The noise is of a Ferrari 275GTB which was later dubbed over it.
  6. GT2 race from Sebring at the weekend there. What a last lap. Rubbin's racin'
  7. Davie your STI has no uppipe cat. You have the Down pipe and then the 2nd cat. If you wanted to keep 1 cat in your car then you'd want to keep the short DP with cat and replace the 2nd one. I just so happen to have that particular pipe going spare as I've now fitted a completely decatted "long" down pipe which is the same length as the short dp with cat and then the cat pipe. If you went for the long downpipe which was decatted you'd obviously be fully decatted, and would probably want a remap. I bought the cat delete from Gus for I think £100. Was fitted to the car in august along with a de-resonated centre section. Just checked my petrol spreadsheet and it was fitted 2 days before the trackday in August and has done about 5000 miles as it was removed just about 2 weeks ago by greers. I'd take £50 for it. Quality is excellent, was in good condition too. Worth a couple of horses for definite.
  8. Dave, it's not a patch on the STI mate [] But not bad, not bad at all.
  9. I got 70 notes back from Shell in January.
  10. One of my neighbours does it, will give them a whirl. Got a wing that needs sorted too after an argument with a barrell on the bellshill bypass. A front splitter needing filled in, and a couple of other wee chips needing done too.
  11. Some arse has modified my passenger side rear door with a wee indentation from their own door. I fancy the indentation on their forehead from size 13 cat boots would probably not go down well with them should I find who it was.
  12. Ed, you're a crazy crazy guy. Well done.
  13. Wouldn't mind a copy too. I'm running the prodrive settings and yes the car does pull left on the cambered roads. Might get it booked for the fast road settings at some point and see how they feel.
  14. They come out the factory like that!
  15. Cash and a very important course that starts on Monday that I have to do some reading for today kept me away. There was much in the way of trying to convince me to go last night and if I'd woke up early I probably would have. But 10am had appeared before I was up.
  16. Peter, how about you get a scientist with a fast calculator to sit in the passenger seat and give him a console with a button for each spark plug, a knob for the fuel, and a wee lever for openning and closing the wastegate.
  17. It would break your heart Kerry. Really sorry for you. Let the police know at least, and hope you get it sorted soon.
  18. The "WRX" not being carried over was totally rubished quite recently by Subaru from memory. Here's some more speculated photos - http://www.scoobyblog.com/2007-03-06/new-2...wrx-sti-photos/ Take everything with 2 pinches of salt.
  19. I run prodrive geometery, Tein springs and Whiteline droplinks. Oh and Cusco strut braces, front and rear. My car handles much much better than standard, for what has been a reasonably cheap exercise.
  20. Would that be the noise of a Meercat exhuast hitting the M8 eastbound?
  21. Welcome to the club and the forums.
  22. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread...146&page=16 There you go.
  23. That looks properly insane. fobiawrx over at the nasioc updated his fog light mounted GT40 project yesterday. It's coming along quite nicely;
  24. There's a wing option for the RA R - http://www.autoblog.com/photos/subaru-wrx-...pe-ra-r/167548/
