  1. Yup, looks great higgy.
  2. Great news Jim. Good numbers too.
  3. Standard STI has TWO cats. After PPP it has ONE cat. You only have a downpipe cat now, the final cat before the centre is no longer in place.
  4. Wonder if Jim got any sleep last night at all. Looking forward to hearing the news.
  5. She goes well peter. Stops well too! Handles better now too I hear. It's very difficult to hold a conversation with you when I can't control my laughter at the great noise your car makes.
  6. Yes Gus. No complaints from the fitting crew. The full project thank yous will be done on Monday afternoon when I return from Port Seton []
  7. Picked my car up this afternoon from Greers after dropping it off yesterday. Getting from Edinburgh to Glengarnock on a crippled train service was interesting. Back in my hands now with a nice new clutch and lightenned flywheel which means I can actually pull away from junctions without the car going jujujujujujujujujujujuuddery. They were quite impressed how much ..... eh, "use" .... a clutch on a 54 plate car had seen. Crail and knockers at their finest. Not sure how but the car seems to have lost the last two catalytic convertors whilst it was in too [] The noise is actually now down right insane with that H+S back box on the car. I tried to refrain from giving it too much welly before mapping on Monday, but had a couple of wee blasts that left me laughing like a mad man. Couple of sweet pops too. Car is now just about fully prepared for Monday. Uprated fuel pump, plugs and a wee Zero/Sports Cool Thermo in there too now. Bring it on. Also my big thanks to the inspector for sorting out getting my car into Greers, and for his wee lift back to Glasgow yesterday morning. He's both a gentlemen and a scholar. Oh and the price was tip top too!
  8. Centre section is just the resonator. It will change the noise and the performance. PPP already deletes the 2nd cat on an STI.
  9. Seller has left ebay it seems, hence why it's not working.
  10. You never know what might appear at a drag strip near you.
  11. Lol It'll be at Knockhill, the glen fruin road and everywhere else, but I'm not sure if I want to attempt to kill another clutch so quickly by dragging. Although it's an Exedy one that's going in, so might be a bit tougher this time []
  12. Craig mate, it's an LS2 block. 800bhp is not a silly figure for those things.
  13. PPP cars don't have them, but standard WRX and STI do. I will have a delete pipe for sale after Wednesday.
  14. Heard a beemer flipped on the track yesterday too. I'm not sure if I'll be attempting to drag mine or not this year in the new spec.
  15. Is it peppermint green? It's hard to tell from the pictures. Welcome to the club first and foremost, and second - junk the lexus lights. Far too chavtastic.
  16. Get a louder exhuast. It will drown it out.
  17. Saw it on the car news sites the other day. Very nice car it is too. If it was a real Vauxhall then I wouldn't touch it with yours, but thankfully it's just a Holden in disguise.
  18. I'm a fan of the rear fogs brake test as well. Lane hogs, tail gaters and those people who just don't seem to understand the concept of roundabouts, especially ones with mutliple lanes. That seems to account for 50% of road users these days. If not more.
  19. Is that Del's site? I can't quite remember what one he works on. I used to work for Scottish Coal and have been down at Pennyvennie a good few times and know some of the people there. Very saddenend by what's happenend.
  20. email Karyn, she could maybe sort it out for you.
  21. I'd never been in one (other than sat at the wheel to make sure I could get my legs in) until the day I picked mine up from Motorpoint. The smile on my face when i tickled the throttle in 2nd gear leaving the BP station across the road was just incredible. I drove it home and just couldn't believe how enjoyable it was.
  22. You get the club mag 4 times a year, discounts, stickers and the enormous satisfaction of being one of us.
  23. Andy, would the cost rival the GDP of a small african country?
  24. John a panel filter is a filter that stops the panels. I'm sure you're aware that panels are a danger to cars? lol But serious a "Panel filter" is a filter that fits into the standard air box. By fitting a "performance" filter you can in theory get a small increase in power. I've bought an STI one recently but not fitted it yet. The car has a paper filter as standard which is actually quite decent according to some tests.
  25. I didn't think you could change the springs on coilovers, at least not without much faffing about.
