  1. Thanks Russell, Im speechless. Your words are very kind. Callum
  2. In My honest opinion, having owned one of these kits. Pace Products are utter shat. I blew an intercooler oval which was rated to 2 bar and my car was never over 1.5 bar. The radiator is rubbish and very inefficient at cooling and the pipework is ill fitting. The boys with FMIC will point you in the right direction, mine is a wrc one so it cost an arm and a leg, but there are plenty of efficient ones out the at good prices. Callum W
  3. As long as your exhaust housing on the turbo marries up with the uppipe, and the turbo fits in the standard position without hitting off the inlet manifold cos its too big then yes.
  4. Yes, Ill bring the Falcon down, It was doubtful that I was going to run as Im only running the 1.6bar map, and the diet isnt complete yet, Andy locked my PFC so I couldnt tamper with it with a "Not in your nelly!" look when I asked him to leave it unlocked during our mapping in May. So im running 1.6 bar, Im not putting the new coil packs in, Im leaving the 4 channel ignition til the winter and the plugs that are in will do for saturday. I genuinly have no idea what power the car has and will not enter into any debates, however I will add a nice bottle of Vino de collapso to the prize for the most powerful classic. I doubt my power or torque will be the highest, it will be nice to see what a 2 litre can produce though. There is no replacement for cubic displacement. I may win the biggest non flamer kit flame award however. It is okay to payon the day? yes? Callum, not Callum the gun, or Callum McCallum from Applecross.
  5. If its the big topmount hyperflow, similar to Higgys then its a good bit of kit if you dont want to go frontmount. Response time throttle to boost will not be lost in 6 foot of pipework. I recall Andy F saying the difference when mapping a "decent" topmount to a front mount was about 1bhp. That was a few years ago so views may have changed. Main difference being a front mount will allow a lower charge temp when constantly on the move, top mount will allow the charge temp to cool quicker from a standing start. the arguements for and against would take up volumes. On the hyperflow what I have seen people do is remove the guts of your scoop and build up a wall of foam insulation material around the edge of the intercooler so that when you close the bonnet it squashes down and forms a seal around it and channels all the air onto the intercooler. This what higgy did and I know he was happy with the results until he bought a fmic. The "face" of the hyperflow is also more robust as well, meaning that if you want to put ice on it to assist with cooling the charge for 1/4 mile stuff, there are no fins protruding to get bent.[] Callum W
  6. Very sad. my thoughts are with them all. Callum
  7. I only see it a baw hair over quarter of a tank. (Wilky walks off, take his car off its trailer and goes off to a private road to try harder)
  8. Being a cheapskate, and having had surge issues in the past I looked into all the solutions, from fabricating a surge area from the bottom of a 5litre plastic container to buggering about riviting bits of aluminium together. as you take a righthand hairpin with 1/4 of a tank thats when you get fuel starvation, so the idea is the form a wall that the fuel will swish off and come back keeping go go juice in the area of the pump intake long enough to get back on an even keel for the fuel to return. Expensive solution - tank pump moves fuel to a swirl pot- then another pump or pumps take the fuel from the swirl pot to the fuel rails. when you get starvation, the swirl pot hold enough to see you over that period. Less expensive solution- TSL surge shield or similar to form the "wall" Even less expensive solution - Get a look at the above then copy it. Wilkys solution- 7 inches of fuel line, extending the return outlet down to the bag filter at the intake of the fuel pump meaning returned fuel is poured directly where you need it, and a £25 jerrycan to ensure I never get below 1/4 of a tank. I wont be trying to win le mans or the WRC so why mince about buying all the whistles and bells that will sit redundant apart from a couple of times a year? I saw the fuel return idea on 22b. A great idea. Callum
  9. where have yours gone then?? [] Same place as yours Mr Gun for hire.

  12. Like wise, I apologise for any offence I may have caused. Callum
  13. Lol, I bet its a hoot. And I bet Im all over the place like a mad womans sh@te. Cheers Andy, Ill be in touch Callum
  14. Right, This is way out of control now so Ide just like to add something. Having brooded over this since last night, and having, in my own eyes avoided getting out of shape and "macho and agressive", and having myself looked through other parties post over the past year I would like to add this. I think its about time I personally, not talking about anyone else here, did do a few hot hatch days, and I think I should invest in a past its best hot hatch and chuck it on my trailer and go up to KH and mix it with you guys. I think I probabley could learn a few things, and I am quite sure that the standard of driving with the exception of a few will be pretty good, same as every track day in any given place around the world. I dont like being publicly insulted, but Im quite sure that by my passive comments I insulted you as well Andy. You are in the Scrap buisness, if you could help me get my hands on a wee car I would appreciate it. All that is happening here is that we are giving others on other forums entertainment, and making ourselves, right or wrong, look like goats. The in car footage origonally posted that sparked all this was no doubt posted in fun on whatever network by the parties involved because they had a hoot and learned a few lessons. As we all have done at some point in our lives. Lifes too short for this sh@t. And pals will stick up for pals, its only natural, but this is silly. So thats that. Andy drop me a PM if you can help me out. Regards Callum
  15. Of course I am Andy, of course I am.
  16. Why reply at all then??? Point proven!
  17. Not very jovial and friendly for a public forum, If you cant take it then you really shouldnt dish it out should you. Hhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. As everyone knows on a trackday timing laps isnt supposed to happen, so Im quite sure anything anyone says is nonsense But then again your Cav SRI has done better and as we all know, or as you are so keen to put us right on, the skills you are so keen to brag about were honed on the type of fiasco displayed in the above video, so ill let the readers be the judge of your boldness. You need not worry I wont lower myself to the name calling you seem to have to use. I was just disappointed that you didnt put your big boy pants on and come and talk to me. Never mind, theres always next time. Love Callum xxx
  18. Thanks for your kind reply Baldy, I looked and waited for you to say hello all day, but didnt know you were there, what a shame. You were obviously a bit shy. And your quite right 1.01 as my slowest lap is nothing special, I really should have timed the quick ones. Alas, my car was broken so I never had the chance to throw you out the road. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Save up your pennies, carry on winding up the elastic band under your bonnet and im quite sure one day you will be able to drive fast too. I wasnt there to watch the slowfest so I have no idea which veloped you were on. Love Callum xx
  19. Yawn. I look forward to having you blue flagged out my way. And giving you the opportunity to call me a Ladyboy to my face.
  20. Specky fool should have been black flagged then shot at the pit wall, Absolute demolishen Derby, I would rather eat my own liver than drive my car round with those clowns. You have to learn somewhere but come on........... That is dangerous
  21. OMG thats aweful.........
  22. Yes no problem, and if rapid cossy is there as well he can have a hurl, there might be an issue with seating arangements though if I cannot find the bloody bolts for the other seat I promised mako, lol. I Have full support from Greersport Racing, Colin will be up with thier support Vehicle so I imagine a pax lap in the car with him will be far more exciting than with me, lol. Callum
  23. Oh dear, now im wondering....... Good luck Gav, what ever your up to, Talbot sunbeams are hard to find these days though..........

  25. I had a set of APs made up for my car, in my opinion unless you are going to try and win le mans then anything above a decent 4 pot caliper on a 330mm disc is wasted on a classic, on a blob or bug eye, there are certain parties who would argue that these cars carry more momentum therefore benefit more from 6 pots.etc. My APs came off a TVR and I hunted about for discs and bells and had to have bracket made up AND still had to space my wheels out, longer studs, hubs off at the back etc etc to get the same spacing all round. Result- not an iota of difference to the handling but the braking benifits of the 4 pot APs are awesome. In my opinion 6 pots are the way ahead for you and APs are the only brakes to put on a scooby. If SWRT went back to AP, then its AP for me. Why scrimp and save for a few hundered. Stuff it, put the AP 6 pots on and buy new wheels and rubber as well, upgrade to 18s and put 355 discs on. You cant take it with you when you die and your only young once. Worry about paying it later. Put godspeeds on and you get what you pay for. Budget brakes and it will always scream in your head, "These godspeeds are ok, but 6 pots APs would have been better, mind you Im tighter than a crabs a**e at 50 fathoms and should have shelled out for them" Go on you know you have to.
