I was going to orginise this for this year, however the RB Relay took over my life and this fell by the wayside, but how do you fancy an SIDC weekend on my old stomping ground The Isle of Bute? Many car clubs go there from englandshire, but its normally a staging area for a blast up the west coast. I can arange a camping area at Port Bannatyne and if Johnny Bute (AKA Johnny Dumfries, have you heard of him? Won Le Mans 1988 for Jaguar? Lord Bute?) Plays the white man we could have the sprint circiut set up. People could arrive Friday night or saturday morning , camp or B and B it, then meet 1200hrs at the campsight and the fun begins.
LHFOJ and Squirrel both recced this with me last year and were of the opinion it was good. However its best to keep any orginisation low key or the feds will send an unmarked car over on the ferry and they will prowel around looking for any spirited driving.
Bute is in the Clyde next to millport, Arran etc for all you geographically embarraced people so its about 45 min to the ferry from Glasgow to Wymess Bay or from Glasgow through the rest and be thankful to the North Bute ferry its about 1 3/4 hours at Karps pace, fastest Ive done it was 45 min Colintrive to Balloch Roundabout.
What say ye, Oh body of the Kirk?
