Yes it can, but below 110mph, after that on most imprezas the air tends to skip over top of the scoop to a certain degree, this was helped by the redesign of the scoop by making it taller and with a jutting top "lid" a couple of years ago, although its not ideal. Its interesting to note that prodrive left the numberplate on the bumper of gp N cars in years gone by because it was felt that the air bounced off the plate and seemed to be caugfht by the scoop. Weird but true. Hyperflow make a fantastic topmount, its deep and extremely efficient. Higgy had one, as did Robinh20mrv, and the reported difference between this and a FMIC was only 1bhp, but without the fmic lag increase. If you go this route you will need to remove the internal guts of your scoop and form a seal between the intercooler and scoop with foam or spongy material, higgy once again did this to good effect and it might be worth asking him. He recentley sold his hyperflow cooler, I would have put it on my legacy if it had fitted over the two turbos, but it was too big. Callum W

Ok I bought a B4 twin turbo estate with a mines ECU and am already modding it by fitting a wrx intercooler to give it a slightly cooler charge, on Thursday night I braked to avoid a deer on loose agrigate on a newly tarmaced road and slid on marbles onto a fence, if I had been driving faster than 20mph I would have rolled down a hill, so Im now trying to track down a splitter AND A FMIC KIT FOR A TWIN TURBO. I have also just bought some patio plants and furniture and i intend getting my hair cut tomorrow, I run my tyre pressure at 31 front, 29 rear at KH and 26 all round at crail, my geometry atm is 2 1/2 negative at the front, 1 3/4 at the back with 2mils toe in all round. I have nightmares about being ambushed and getting my fuel mixture wrong and running too much ignition advance. There , you now know all my secrets. Callum

Ther has been much speculation as to whether I was blethering about my encounter with this car, so here is a very out of focus picture of the car, and yer auld da next to the car, dressed like a toff. Work it right up ye.

No it need reset because you have done something that has put it into limp home mode, ie boot it with a leaking hose sending your turbo balistic as it trys to make the pressure, the engine is working like feck to try and make the boost, its no happening because you have a hole in your pipework, the ecu says "Oh Oh! something wrong, we are going to have a bad day if this continues!" And goes into a rich, safe limp home map, and restricts your boost to 0.5 bar. To reset it, disconnect your battery, and go and have a cup of tea. About 30 min later, reconnect the battery and all should be well again, if not, then you will need to explore other options. Callum

It doesnt go yet. I had a close inspection of it at Goodwood and it doesnt have an engine, gearbox diffs or management yet. Colin said that he was waiting for millingtons new head for the engine, and that developement would take place in due course. You can have it in 2wd or 4wd. Colin has just released his new range of clothing, no doubt we will see the Squirrel clad in some new togs. It wont be as expensive as st3ph3n says but at 25000 a throw for a millington engine, I cannot see it being a snip. Im quite sure the gruppe s ones have a flexi joint in the upipe, I had similar ones and had no problems although I have heard of the flexijoint coming away with the heat. with headers you unfortunatley pay for quality but if you are generating huge heat there is no promise of them not cracking. HKS zero sport and blitz are all high quality and tend not to crack, however engine movement has alot to do with it, how well is you turbo attached to your engine or is it just sitting omn the uppipe? I have gucci fandango ones on the falcon, HKS and on from new, I needed quality but alas, they cost a bit. If you are interested Harvey ports standard uppipes and headers to a very high standard giving conciderable gains in torque, however if you are looking for top end then its tubulars you want. You then have to ask, equal or unequal length, burble or bark, etc etc and the debate goes on and on......exhaust pulses, bla bla. If you want gruppe s copies which are usually okay you can pick them up on ebay, just look for the spec you want, you can also get them on the US ebay, just ask for them to be sent as a gift or sample to avoid import tax, som Ive heard, ahem.....
