  1. Re: Your boost issue. Try connecting a pipe from your turbo compressor casing to the actuator, if the boost still creeps up way past your wasetgate pressure you will need to port your wategate. Boost creep cannot be removed with a 3 port solenoid or mapping, it is normally due to the bypass port (wastegate port) being to small. Cheers Iain
  2. Hi guys Once we have at least 240 cans (rough number of seats on a full Tristar) I will organise the handover, we are nearly there guys so keep up the good work. Cheers Iain
  3. No probs mate, see you next time, enjoy the Hols Cheers Iain
  4. It could be a filter issue, I also wonder if the bag has fallen of the pump in the tank? That could be worth a shout too. I had a reply from Sigma Sam, there is no connection to your fault with the immob, so that is that ruled out. I would suggest checking everything from the pump to the relay (wires/connectors etc). Defo try and listen for the pump stopping prior to the engine as this will give better indication to if it is the pump or not. Cheers Iain
  5. I am fairly certain it was a photoshop of what the new scoob should look like. Cheers Iain
  6. From what you have told us mate it sounds like the pump itself is working (obviously as the car starts) that goes for all your sensors etc hence no CEL, then after 20 secs or so your car sputters to a halt. What I am suggesting is that there may be another part of your immob which needs a signal after starting the engine within the 20 sec window, obviously if it does not get the signal it shuts down the pump, (I have spoken to sigma sam on your behalf, just waiting on a reply). In the mean time try starting the car with your ear next to the pump (use a friend/partner to start the car) and see if the pump stops before the engine. Cheers Iain
  7. No worries mate, names added to list (well Ed's anyway ) Cheers Iain
  8. There is no reason why it could not still be the immob or the fuel pump, the symptoms you are describing defo sound like the fuel is being cut, have you had your ear next to the pump whilst it is running? Does the pump stop before the engine? Cheers Iain
  9. From what I have driven between the UK and the JDM I find the JDM a much tighter car all over, the steering, gearchange, handling and performance/power delivery are defo better. IMHO it just seems that the JDM cars are put together with better tolerances/parts. Cheers Iain
  10. If it is starting/running ok then coughing and spluttering to a stop it may still be a fuel/immob' issue ie the pump is only running for a short time then cutting out again if you see what I mean. As the car is starting and running ok with no CEL that would suggest that it may not be a sensory issue. Good luck with it mate. Cheers Iain
  11. Will be good to see you fella See you there. Cheers Iain
  12. It is common knowledge that the UK spec Impreza is of a lower spec than the JDM there is nothing arrogant about it, I am sure even you are aware of this. There is a freedom of choice and that is probably why the import market does so well. The Impreza is a special car but that does not change the fact that some are better than others. I am sure that the Sport owners would like a Turbo 2000, or the Turbo 2000 owners want an Sti and so on, I think alot of us have to put up with and love what we can afford but that does not stop us wanting the best. Cheers Iain
  13. They certainly sold the Impreza for me, well Colin did at first then Richard drove the point home. Cheers Iain
  14. Bit of a party pooper are we Ed? Anyway BACK ON TOPIC PLEASE !!!!!!!!! Cheers Iain
  15. I have to whole heartedly agree with this, I cant help but think that Subaru would do a whole load better in the UK selling the higher spec cars which are available in Japan. I would have an import over a UK car any day Lets hope the Cossie is a breath of fresh air for the UK STi. Cheers Iain
