  6. As above, if you are looking for something handy, the best man in the area is Liam Wood at Glenburgie, if I couldn't do it myself (I can), that is where I'd take my car (from glasgow)
  7. Pic ? Does it have a 90mm inlet ? cheers ---john---
  8. Follow that... ESP, doesn't look very posh, but they bend over backwards..... and do a great job. ---john---
  9. Del, I'd try to be at Kames arround 8'ish cheers ---john---
  10. Dave, cost might not be easily equated as the heads may or may not need skimmed in either case. Seems a common fault, I've just had the same trouble, both heads were leaking, one needed 4 thou taken off the face and the worst 9 thou. Machining costs were dear, however labour costs were very reasonable.... I did it myself.
  11. Don't have a road book in my hand, but I think Ballochmyle is around 10am Solway Car club marshalling, I'm sure what you really meant to say was where can I help ? ---john---
  12. Thanks for the offer Del, glad to see someone who's actually into rallying and not just 'bling' motors. Should be a good event, the entry is good as are the stages, most of which you'll recognise. If peeps are prepaired to help, lunch will be provided, self satisfacion is also assured, all marshals will be entered in a draw for 1/2 days tuition at the Scottish Forrest Rally School. Its a very sociable event, spectating second to none, and maybe a drinkypoo at the end. ----john----
  13. Dave, I'll have it. might even be able to collect it with those wheels !! Was supposed to be on holiday this week, but the Missus is not well so I'm around and, for a change, have some time. let me know the when and the where ---john---
  14. 1. SCOOBAY (Barred) 2. Billyboy (Barred) 3. JohnSt (Marshalling) 4.Corsa <<<<( I'll decide ) Anyone want to help with marshalling, no experience required, best spectating bits, lunch provided...and you'd be helping, 50 marshals needed. ---john---

  16. If you believe, just changing some drop links can totally transform a cars handling, you've been drinking to much 'Snake Oil' ---john---
  17. Accidentally seems improbable as it seems some former members are now www.scottishcarclub Just my nose getting the better of me when I saw some posts on the Lancer Register ---john---
  18. So what happened there then, I heard it was no more under dubious circumstances ? ---john---
  19. Wasn't a speed trap, it was a numberplate recognition Jobbie. ---john---
  20. Making sure the car was the second fastest through the speed gun all day behind Roy's Single seater, last lap, got my time, and actually it was quite fun
  21. Anti Clock, Saturday, Clock Sunday.... nice to see like everyone else you read the regs
  22. Yes, Dave, but guess what, I'm in London again, back Friday night, but got a Taxi to Edin this time, can I give you a call at the weekend. ---john---
