  1. was going to say sounds like someone going for 6th on a 5 speed and not taking no for an answer dont know about classics but know on my blob the brake test has to be done by test drive but not over 50 - get it sorted and name and shame i say!
  2. sure youl figure something John - car covers are always handy to have.....
  3. take it from the spec list its api building and mapping for you? they have a good reputation, cant imagine david steering you wrong mate
  4. newage good, p1 better well in standard form anyway......
  5. who's building and mapping for you? just out of curiosity - if your quite happy with running that turbo then thats the important thing, andy forrest that maps most of the imprezas round here recomends the smallest turbo for your hp aims thats all. running in i believe is a thin oil for 50 miles, then slightly thicker for the next 950 miles, avoiding boost but not sitting at one speed or revs for any prolonged period, runs up and down the bears varying engine speed between 1500 - 3500/4000 rpm in your case at a guess. change to full fat oil at 1k then supposedly gradually increase revs in stages - ive just gone for broke after 1k and its never done any harm but that was standard engines
  6. Hi Eddie, always happy to hear from another 'nessian - not much happening up here right now but if theres demand....
  7. with my limited knowledge i was thinkinng a 35 would be pretty laggy on a 2.1 - but depends what your using it for?
  8. result! top marks for sticking it to the evo and skyline boys at last
  9. tomorrows a quiet day, picking the scoob up from perth then a bbq, sundays falkirk wheel meet - unless i overdo it sat night goat trotting its way to you
  10. and if your over that way lewis give me a shout, only 5 minutes from me, that way il know to stay safely off the roads
  11. what colour of scoob this time Martin? be worth getting it checked though - did you know Andy has his own place now at lochty ind estate? nothing against Grant and the boys but gives you choices
  12. from memory factory catted centre section is one piece, prodrive centre section and de cat is 2 pieces aftermarket decat is also one piece - but that is from hazy memory and is probably wrong as usual
  13. great idea Myles, think doing it outside of the races would make it a lot quieter and cheaper - accomadation and ferries are getting booked up now for tt week! have we got any manx members on the forum?
  14. aaah, happy memories!! cracking day for it Pete and glad to see your in front in most of the pics il keep an eye out for september - hopefully not when im away at the ring!

  16. too much curry eh if you want to meet up some time you can have a shot of my coilover sprung beasty to see what you think - i reckon mine rides better than with the prodrive springs, but Barrys car doesnt seem to suffer with whiteline springs mind you
  17. looking good Paul! where did you get the exhaust surround from?
  18. mine likes the blitzen too - talking of which i see its got a wee blurb in this months jap performance with some grinning fool kneeling next to it
  19. looks quite tidy Vicci just right for a wrx engine and front mount for full sleeper effect
  20. Happy birthday Brian - good job the scoobs looking good for its age! hope you had a good un
  21. i know mate theresa case for both sides i think if you can manage to keep it in good condition with low miles for another 2 or 3 years the number of straight original uk turbos will be so few that the value goes up, then upgrade to a hawkeye - or save enough to keep the classic AND get a hawk
  22. i think if you get a newer one and use it all the time youl have a job to keep it as clean as the classic and youl start to resent the fuel bills running it all the time. it is a lovely classic and with great but subtle mods - if you can restrict it to dry season use and perfect the finish for show and odd blast car then that sounds ideal to me
  23. bit about roger clark motorsport selling them in jap performance this month
  24. the crew getting settled in whats that in your hand Cathy? aaah diet coke of course
