  1. havent done it but id definitely be up for it - was an article in scottish field the other month all about the trips to corryvreckan and it looks awesome! nice run down to oban via tyndrum too, spot of lunch then back via inverary
  2. you want me to bring my pipes along as well Cathy? some great ideas tonight sorry Ciaran, yours was the first post on the other thread when they were moved over so you get the credit, lucky boy
  3. excellent idea Barry, Karoke challenge this year, me first
  4. as Balls istic asked sooooooo nicely on the main fling thread in events, here you go for all comments, queries, boasting and sarcasm - if the mods can move over any non list posts from events to here would be great if it can be done?? and shirt boy?? from dr kilty, really???
  5. Hi Matty, been away for the weekend without internet but normal service is resumed..... as Barry said its around 150 - 200 miles a day, fridays an optional bonus day - last year we left from stirling around mid day and had a reasonably relaxed run up to inverness, saturday is usually around a 9 - 10 am departure and a stop for the night around 5 - 6pm and sunday 11 til 4ish back to inverness, though all are approximations until the routes set as a guide i spent around 180 quid last year on fuel but that was leading with purpose hotels i usually manage to get a decent group rate for dinner b&b which helps fund fuel, well a little bit..... the stunning scenery, good weather and amazing banter are all thrown in for free of course
  6. im excited so you must be bouncing off the walls by now
  7. awesome!!! as weedman said, if you need a courier.... hope youl bring it along to the fling next year - on the other hand hope youve got a new job sorted out mate
  8. congrats mate, what a great car for your first scoob!! go on get some pics up!
  9. glad your happy Gary, laser geo is well worth it - progrip or hypertech in bonnybridge are well worth the trip mapping has got to be Andy F or trackhound - though i know Glyn is getting duncan from race dynamix up to his car soon...
  10. was in on saturday and no sign Gus was last seen at Knockers for time attack im afraid but Andy was going to check again when he had a minute
  11. was back in the wild winter of 05 before you even had one you pesky whippersnapper
  12. o and remind Andy about the free KFC for sidc members
  13. be interested to hear how the stoptech discs are Gary, had the pads on the rear for a while now and no complaints R888's at this time of year? take it its not a daily driver then? drove mine from edinburgh to perth in light snow on bridgestone re70's once and it was arse clenching at 40mph!!
  14. with the standard 4 pots id go with mintex 1144's and braided lines Phil, for the price i couldnt fault them even against pads twice the price
  15. any vibration through the pedal at the same time? sounds like possible warped discs - grooved discs can make that sort of noise too but im guessing yours are standard? for pads i really liked the mintex 1144 pads, get some fresh brake fluid and braided lines at the same time and you should be happy
  16. how very dare you, that was the highlight of many peoples year!!! but if it helps i promise not to repeat my rendition of meatloaf this year
  17. actually Paul get Kenny to go round and tell non stop puns to them, that should have them moving out within half an hour
  18. apart from being crap thats downright dangerous, i think flyers are a good idea if they know your onto them they might stop. but if you do get proof its them, c2's are pretty light to pick up with half a dozen blokes......
  19. as its now less than 2 months to the date ive got for this ive recieved an email asking me to confirm it so if people can put there names down on the thread in events if theyre going to attend and phone the hotel to book if you want a room - last year was a great night and the accomadation and food at the huntingtower brilliant. have to confirm this week so need to know if theres enough numbers to make it viable
  20. il be up tomorrow night and saturday as usual - pancakes were good last year,as was Grant and me swearing while the bbc filmed in front of us
  21. cheers Paul and everyone else, looking forward to this even though im not driving! just in from work a couple of hours so time to get packing - just remembered to get travel insurance :s
