  1. Depends on who the garage sell it to!! lol Ended up selling it back to Scoobaru...
  2. Puzzled, whats good and whats a shame, lol.... Reasons for getting rid - Mixture of things but i guess biggest driver was day to day costs, i'm saving for a new house and the extra cash will come in darn handy, it also means i will have a garage which will house my track toy. Currently i use the scooby for commuting 99% of the time which is pointless really.... Plus i have 6 points n very nervous bout getting more!
  3. Well Folks, The Subaru goes off to a new home tomorrow and later in the evening i pick up my new car.... Mondeo TDCi Ghia X.... got all the gadgets a guy could ask for including xenons, electric leather seats, climate, cruise, parking sensors, built in sat nav etc etc.... i'm excited about it! (surprised that i'm saying that bout a Mondeo (rep mobile)!! Biggest thing i think i will miss about going from a Subaru to a diesel..... NOISE... Even with just the decat downpipe n STi backbox although subtle it sounded luvverly..... Ah well, 40+ mpg, safer license, cheap insurance and tax should help ease the pain, that plus next July ish i'll be buying a nice little track toy that may be an RA of some description depending...... I'll still be kicking about the forums anyway!! Cheers, Chris
  4. Nasty Stuff.... take it you kerbed it? Hope you've not been on the m-way since!
  5. Would an STi PPP not have the Sports Cat in the downpipe?
  6. What model Vectra is it?? I'm looking at the 2.2 Dti.....
  7. Cheers Chris, gonna be up that way later...... On another note what did you end up buying, with 284lb of torque i assume its a diesel then?
  8. I've driven a vectra before and i genuinely liked it, granted its not a "driver focused" car but its nice n comfy..... Each to their own eh!! lol CraigWRX - By pointless i mean i find the scooby 100% comfortable to commute in but its not any more fun than anything else when sitting in traffic or plodding along at 20mph behind someone... If i have something economical for these journeys at least its costing me less.... I genuinely can't think of the last time i went above about 4500rpms which really is a waste of the car..... Brian, you pushing the hard sale, lol.... Hmmm.........
  9. I also contemplated it but despite the initial outlay being much lower it makes more sense for me to go for a TDi.... Thinking of a Vectra 2.2 DTi or something, comfy, loadsa creature comforts but economical .... minimal driver feedback / handling but for commuting thats fine!
  10. To wonderful smoggy Oil Burner land!! Planning on moving house next year so looking to sell the scoob before insurance renewal time for something nice n cheap / economical... 99% of the time i drive the scoob is commuting anyway so its a bit pointless.... Next year when i buy my house with a garage though the oil burner will be my daily drive n something like a STi RA will be my "toy".....
  11. Maybe a new set of plugs before the remap?
  12. If there was a blockage then the pressure would find anywhere to get out of.... Is the blockage definitely cleared now?? Thats a whole lot of cars that you can't use... lol. Hope you get it sorted quickly (and mucho cheapness!)
  13. Welcome mate..... Always liked Classics in white!
  14. What was the details of the crash in Balloch yesterday, i hadn't heard anything apart from my Sister taking 3 hours to get home from the Cameron House to Dalmuir......
  15. Gordon Ramsay's F Word by chance?? I am going to make a giant ToffeePop.... mmmmmm Or fistful or fudge..... Or Giant Toffee Crisp..
  16. Rab, Can you get these for newage or just classic? Cheers Chris
  17. Think the only worry is door dings cos its pretty tight.... I personally park over the otherside of the e-way outside the train station, area isn't the greatest but its always pretty busy and i've never had any bother leaving my car there, plus its much easier to get out at the end when the car park is at a total stand-still......
  18. Takes a big man to apologise, []
  19. As soon as he said "scandinavian flick" you knew he was doomed! Love how while he is still sliding along the ground Jeremy and James are giving an address for applications for a replacement, magic! Another series over!
