  1. Not had brembo caliper fitment but had both Pagid and DS2500 and both are a huge impreovement over OE types. I think I would prolly go for Pagid as I thought they withstood my braking better. Alyn @ASperformance is the guy to ask and buy from
  2. Geez a bad one indeed. Thankfully no one injured.
  3. LMAO an outback version, and the humiliation just keeps on coming. I know the reasons behind moving to a smaller hatch type ( market share and trying to claw back into WRC) but these are just plain awful.... Subaru please stop
  4. I really cant add any more than has already said, I was reluctant in coming along today as I wanted to remember Colin as the flying Scot and not admit the sad truth, however I was most definately proud to be a member today and take part and shed some tears with my fellow SIDC members. A thank you goes to Strathclyde's finest, Ally B and Grant for making it happen, if I can help in making the trip next year happen Grant please look me up. Your Humbly Scott
  5. Was hiding most of the day, really need a monopod and a better lens to help out with the pics. Your car was looking quick on the straights mate
  6. Having never met Colin I feel slightly hypocritical in this post, but like most here I chose a Subaru because of this man, he is a legand of his field and will always be one im my and others eyes. My heart goes out to his wife Alison for not only losing Colin but her son, my heartfelt sympathies to the other familes involved also. RIP all
  7. Just uploaded some pics I took here. Favourites of mine include Spooks
  8. Sweet jeebus thats impressive figures, looking forward to seeing it at KH now. Moan the hawk's
  9. Think we will miss out this month guys, been a tad mad the past few days and with a training course approaching I dont see it better in the future. Catch up with ya'all next month
  10. Guys and gals as you know we normally have our Lothians meet every second wednesday of the month, well unfortunately I will be in Englandshire when we are due our next meet ( september 12th) so im asking if you all still wanna have the meet on this date( without me , yipee I hear ya all say) or have it the next week ( september 19th) or any other idea's. Your choice just lemme know your preferance. Cheers Spooks
  11. Wheels are unsprung weight will make a differance to momentum but lighter wheels help more in steering and suspension. Less unsprung weight generally limits tramlining, and can give better grip overall. Performance increase I reckon would be very difficult to guage, but you may notice it. Anyone wanna buy me a set of Volk CE28's?
  12. Yeh saw this last week, still not shown the Time Attack though
  13. Yup Ian works at the same place, nice motor......... kinda thought it looked familiar. Nice car indeed.
  14. Nice looking 200 there, you didnt happen to buy it from a bloke in Edinburgh did you?
  15. Firstly welcome to SIDC. Also recently bought a 07 WRX after having owned a 01 WRX, and yeh its definately quiet and it just doesnt seem to be going quick at times because of lack of noise IMHO, I reckon a good exhuast ( centre and back) would help no end, overall though its a huge improvement over the 01 I previously had. Would also consider the PPP if it were slightly cheaper. Good luck with the new car.
  16. Got an idea regards something similar, will be in touch with yourselves and Phil soon as I try a few things. I will try and send a story if I get a few moments though.
  17. Congrats to Marty on the day, well organised and it went well overall, hell he even got the weather. Thanks to all that attended and helped raise money for Santa cruise, it will be greatly appreciated Im sure. The guys at Extreme were brilliant, letting us use the place as if it were ours and a very professional dyno. BTW Higgy that car is an animal, even made me cry []
  18. Can I do this again []
  19. Least I had had was around 180( not inc track) most I have had is 330 ( pootling at 70/80 most o the time), this is from full tank to light on. If MPG is a deal breaker I gunuinly wouldnt buy a scoob, they are thirsty in comparison to other "quick" cars.
  20. Wonder if Andy could fettle with a standard car ie leave the main downpipe cat in place to give a few more horses and torques? Far too new to be throwing the warranty away completely if ya know what I mean. Spooks
  21. Just a quickie to echo what everyone has previously said. Well done to John for organising a great day out, no matter how much rain fell it did not dampen our spirits at all. Apart from the few incidents the track was great to watch, feel bad I never gave a hand in marshalling or timekeeping......next year [] Got a few pics to post but will do that tomoz me thinks, or can perhaps do a report for True Grip . Again Top marks John [y] Spooks
  22. Been meaning to post this for ages but not been able to fight Rose from the PC long enough to, congrats to Dougie on the birth of his baby boy Rhys.Gotta say he is a wee cutie, well done to you both Spooks
  23. I spose it kinda started with watching Jimmy and Colin take part in Rally GB in the Legacy, always been a car fan and thought it weird that these funny jap things were actually good at rallying. Watched Rallying ever since and after Colin won the championship it kinda stuck in the back o my mind. It helped that my dad was a Ford man through and through, I had to buy something different when I grew up [] First reasonably quick car was a Honda prelude, then a renault 16v..... after having this I said to the missus I need another jap car that has 4WD and a turbo. Really wanted a skyline but I couldnt afford them so thats when I remembered all those years ago watching Colin and dad in the legacy, remembering colin win the championship in the scoob I thought hey why not. Several thousand pounds later, huge hole in the ozone and a fair ole smile on my face Im a scoob man............... the new skyline is coming though so.............................................................................. [] Spooks
