spooks replied to Dougie C's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Wasnt too bad a day after such a crap start, car wouldnt start, no fuel, bonnet wouldnt close and EML illuminated ended up too late to help out John with sign in etc ( soz John)........ so it was cold but got to catch up with a few folks, overall a good day out. Those evo's were rather quick werent they -

Tried tesco once and the car didnt seem to like it much, to be fair i never gave i a chance with only the one fill up but i noticed that my mpg was terrible, wasnt gunning it so cant say too much regards the performance but rose thought it was running worse also................ also been plagued with CEL faults since but i think this is totally unrelated Your experiance may vary but optimax for me

Funny as, opening page our own Phil is the featured car, so Scoobynet promotes SIDC kind, I know its not a them and us situation but I thought it a tad ironic. Go on yersell boss

E36 M3 Evo is a great car that is starting to show its age but its still class, yes its well know the Vanos GEARS (not the unit) start to get noisy but in most cases this is only a noise and rarely causes issues with loss of power. Not much really goes wrong with them, rear trailing arm bushes, front wishbone bushes etc but overall pretty bullet proof. If you can go for one with a service history just after its had an Insp 2 service []. Service and repair costs are rediculous (and trust me the techs dont benefit from that) but it makes subaru costs look like chicken feed. E36 M3 Evo GT is IMHO the best of the bunch with the best looking rear spoiler, better seats on most and a few other wee touches as well as better resale value. Now if you can I would get a E46 M3............ thats a whole new ball game altogether Lemme know if you need any info/help

Was informed a good while ago that the article I did for Dastek would not make it in this issue, maybe next issue. Lets not get paranoid folks there are loads of events all year round that deserve recognition and no doubt loads of events never make it into the magazine at all. True Grip does well to give members good articles to read lets not start this Scottish scoobies deserves rubbish.

Wishing all SIDC Scottish Scoobies members a very Merry Christmas, have a good one guys and gals Scott

Just a thank you message to all that took part in this event not only today but those that helped throughout the year. To knick a line from Lou Gehrig "today I consider myself the luckiest man on the face of the earth", for having the help from ya'all. On a more personal note I cant thank Dastek enough for helping us raise our funds, 4Hero and Ian for making the stickers, Rose for putting up with me and all Lothians members that listen to me rant and moan all year long. Day went well, the staff and kids were so appreciative for everything, I swear no one can do this and NOT be touched and moved. It all ended well with Dougie C's suggestion of lunch in Bush farm Inn, and once we all found the place (lol) we all had a great laugh. Id post pics but I use IE7 lol Guys and galls alls I can say is Well done and thank you all Scott

P1 factory alarm, and the saga of the Police station Antenna.
spooks replied to wilky's topic in Scottish Scoobies
its all older Sigma alarms that are effected, cant take my car to Livingston for that reason. There is an updated alarm control unit available from Subaru at a huge price. Its a PITA, possibly wrapping the control unit in tin foil could help but unsure -

OK details arranged tonight so meeting points are set. A few people will be meeting at Gus's ( they know who they are or about to) at 9 9-15 am to take the presents, but if we can all meet at Fairmile Inn just of the Edinburgh Bypass (Lothianburn Junction) for 10 am Sharp, we will head down to the hospital soon after that. Location is here http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?lat...le=10000&icon=x As yet we have not booked anything afterwards so if there is anything you guys and gals would like to do after the Santa Cruise please let us know ASAP -
I know APS do a version that req no remap so perhaps Zero make a version similar, if they cannot confirm this then Id defo get a remap done.
