  1. Ta for the comments guys, I really appreciate them. Still got loads to sort out
  2. Still loading my pics into the PC so barely PP'd any but thought I would post a few from Thursdays shakedown and service park.
  3. We had an absolute blast, left the house at midnight Wednesday eve and getting there safely enough in the am just in time for the shakedown. We never slept for around 38-39 hours...... Tell me why do we do this again? Saw the shakedown then the service park and then off to cardiff for the opening ceromony. Day 1 off the rally saw us at Sweet lamb 1 and 2, Hirvonnen rolling directly in front of me. This was our first experiance of a competitive WRC stage and geez you can never appreciate the outright speed of these things from the TV you have to see them in the flesh. the weather was horrid, but we didnt mind one bit Day 2 saw us at Halfway and resolfen, better weather with stunning scenery and speeds that defied belief again. Cardiff Super special ...... the noise, oh how sweet was the noise in there, but sorry totaly Mikey Mouse stage. Day 3 we managed to see Rheola and Port Talbot before getting some well deserved sleep and food. Overall managed to meet some amazing rally fans, everyone having a blast. Travelled 1500 miles, used 4 tanks of fuel ... not bad in a golf... and loved every second. Roll on the scottish championship and the Snowman in Feb
  4. Heading down with Rosie tomorrow night for the whole rally
  5. After everything thats been said about the new shape evil seed that is the new impreza I love seeing everyone back down from there original statements........lol Having said that I gotta say as much as I loved my scoobs( and I did) its pretty apparent that they are flawed and the new one still ugly as sin. Subaru wanted a slice of the Focus/Astra market and made it look like one and Im sure its a great car to drive but its so generic. If I had the money for a RS4, Id buy a E93 M3 with DCT box. Neil all I can say is yeh Scoobs are good but you are allowed to move on. *flame suit on*
  6. Well we decided that we would bite the bullet and goto our first WRC event, to say were looking forward to it is an understatement....although Wales in December may be a tad baltic lol Anyone from here making the trip this year?
  7. Nice Porker.
  8. David, stunning set of pics so much sharper than anything I managed on stage 5 before it was cancelled. Good larf yesterday even with the rain and the idiot who managed to cancel the stage so thanks guys, especially the ex Prodrive blokes....top guys. Also want to thank Ex Leper for the rain bag for the camera, by christ I needed it. Wont even bother posting any o my pics as they are just that cack, seem to be having issues with my big lens at the mo........no happy.
  9. Went up twice today after leaving work and forgetting to lift my lens when switching over cars......... one was not amused I can tell ya. Was great to see Dougie and finally meet Rob ( Flat Planed Crank ), was great to have a wee bleather with other forum users. Still not myself when it comes to taking pics but here are a few I took in the litle time I had a camera in my hands. Quite pleased with the M3 pic as its slow shutter and shot through a fence.
  10. Hairdresser? Moi?
  11. So the scoob is gone and knowing I cant really replace the power I thought well if im changing I have to be different so went small and hairdresser........ Meet my new car. Quick shots, not been cleaned. With my scoob not being used as much as it should and us wanting to get married, thought I would sell up and start a marriage fund. Hell it wont win any sprints but geez its a giggle with the roof down, handles like its on rails and roundabouts in the wet is great fun With the new shape scoob I dunno if/when I will return to the subaru fold, I love em (flaws and all) but I hope ya'all will still talk to me.
  12. Superb Thank you ver very much, if I could pick it up tomoz am that would be great. I'll PM my phone number and we can arrange something. Appreciated...... btw Im useless in Glasgow so I need good direstions LOL
  13. In need of a 5 speed WRX new age Gear knob................. If you have one can you please let me know as i need one for tomorrow, either phone me or pm me Thanks in advance Scott
  14. Well went along on Sunday but got so soaked in those 10 mins I had to leave. Wasnt too bothered about me but more my missus and camera .......
  15. That sir is a VERY nice example. Missed you buying yet ANOTHER scoob mate, when and where ya get this one from.
  16. LOL yer kiddin..... ooh look MORE understeer. To be fair was good to see it quicker than the evo for once even if it looks like a smashed buttock, now if it didnt handle like a kerb magnet it may be a good car.
  17. 25-30mpg ......... yeh right, try 7-22mpg and thats more like it The new scoob I'm sorry to say is truely horrific looking, and I owned a bugeye, and no matter how well it drives its always gonna look cack. The evo will whip the scoob as it always has, I love scoobs ( well upto and in the hawk) but the evo is a faster beast, and doesnt understeer ......
  18. Not the normal kind o pics and not to everyones/anyones taste, but I wanted to try and do something a bit "different". I'm in a bit of a "funk" so thought I would do this.......... comment salways welcomed. BTW they are supposed to be like this, no there not out of fucus and yes I like em
  19. Cheers mate, still trying to emulate you and Col
  20. Ali I was impressed with your em ..... commitment going into the chicane lol I stayed at the Chicane most of the night as I was gibbering for some time, but sure I have some more of you. Have a look at my Flickr page as I will be updating it with more when I have time to process em.
  21. Went up this eve and even though Fee was determined it was gonna rain it stayed off. Some "interesting" driving but some great quick cars. Few pics that Ive sorted through. Seen our own Zeolite in his new *ahem* legacy type thang and looked great
  22. Great pics guys, something about those bridges and pics, it just pulls you there.
  23. Guys name is Mike Brewer
  24. Cheers for the comments guys, not overly happy with my pics though ..... got too many that just aint sharp so must try harder. Was gonna be going back today but seeing as Im just awake there is no point Gus I'll get your stuff back to ya matey, ta muchly for that. Roll on the next rally
  25. After a great day at the Jim Clark Rally with the lads (and lassies) o SIDC thought I would let ya see some pics. These are pretty much straight from camera so may not be as sharp as they should be. More here
