I'd say make me an offer but they're out on loan at the moment. Not sure what to do with them long term - i'm thinking stick some slicks on them.

You can have a look at mine if you want. Or just bring £50 and take the whole car away. Btw, you should be asking what make and what gauges too.

Thanks for the pic Rich. Took my camera but didn't take one picture as the day just wizzed by.

Thanks Peter. Looking forward to facing off with your car. She almost ready? Jim - no crisps for me if I want to continue with the weight saving.
-
Thats right Jim, at 128mph. Had a few 11.2's as well so hopefully not a fluke.

Well done to everyone who made the effort today. It was one of the quietest days I've ever seen at at crail but it had some of the best cars I've ever seen there. On the way up we all ooohed when we spotted a gt-r, by the time we left we were tired of whupping them. Top banter from the skyline boys BTW. Real nice bunch of goys with some very tasty motors. They do seem a bit obsessed with how much power your car makes though. Three of them asked me that same question at the same time. I had a frustrating morning trying to get to grips with launching my car. It was only my third time on the strip and the second was three years ago. As the day went on I started to get the measure of it and the times started to fall. I took the car knowing it had a few niggles and once they're sorted, as well as the transmission, I know it's got a ten in it. Not bad for a full fat road car built built by a couple of spanners and a tool. Whens the next one?
-
For any crail first timers - I won't be speeding on the way there or on the way back. I've never been to crail and not seen a speed camera van. I think they must check what days it is on and camp out on the main roads.
-
Why not meet a Livi as the Glasgow crew will have to pass there anyway.
-
Received and understood. Let me think of a worthy response and I'll get right back to you sir.
-
What mods have you made to the car? Do newages have a caron cannister to remove? If nnot where does the fuel tank breather go to?
-
Weather is not looking good for Sunday. I remember a wet day at crail and it was not fun. I had wheelspin in 4th and an indicated 100 mph and still hadn't reached the 60ft line. One of the more memorable races saw me an wilky go head to head with an epic 18 second battle. From about the half way line we were totally blind as the wipers started to lift. I had to look out of the side window to see where the finish line was. Slowing down was even scarier that speeding up. The car had standard tyres on then but with 888's on now it would be madness to attempt a run under similar conditions. Fingers crossed the forecast improves.
-
Any word on the competition? Exactly what are we up against and how is it going to be scored?
-
Depends on what your replacing it with. As for price, it's a buyers market at the moment so put it in low enough to get attention but be ready for folk to turn up and offer a lot less.
-
It need to have been registerd to you for a least a year.
-
You think its bad in a subaru, you should try using a motorbike. The number of time people have tried to race me away from the lights couldn't be counted and when on the motorway they love to sit right up my chuff. I do get a few challenges in the car too, mainly from other "performance" cars though. Sometimes I can't be bothered and just ignore them but most times I do take the bait especially if it's a big money motor. If it's some lads in a hot hatch I've found 5 secs of antilag and some eye contact usually put them off before we even pull away.
-
We've never lived together. Honest.
-
Glad it was an easy fix. Was the hose perished?
-
What a great question. In a classic I reckon 350 - 400 is more than enough. Any less could leave you wanting on the straights, any more can make it a right handfull in the tighter stuff. The best fun I had was with my 208 hp uk classic. I could rag it anywhere in total confidence which made it match for much quicker cars until I came onto a straight. No idea what a newage or hatch would need.
-
Try timpsons. They can cut coded keys right there and then for many cars for a much better price than the stealers.
-
Hey, I'm a giver. What can I say.
-
I'll say. With that masssssssive blower and maxing out that fuel system I'd say that was never gonna be in any doubt. What I can't say though is how much torque it must be putting out to mash a 6 jdm speed in less than one tank of fuel. Top marks for raising the mental bar again mate. Can't wait for the full boost version.

What, why his pet name for you is "Winky" ?

My neighbour had the chips away guys out to do some work on their focus. They made a decent enough job but when I went over and asked for a quote to do the bonnet on the type r he said I'd be better getting a respray. WTF?
